C15 Tell Me about the White Lotus Cult

"Tell me about this White Lotus Cult you mentioned."

Chen Yun's attention snapped to the abrupt voice. He turned to see Ye Lee approaching him.

Ye Lee had been in this world for only ten days and hadn't come across the White Lotus Cult. He deemed it necessary to inquire further.

"Who are you?"

Yun Chen observed Ye Lee, noting the energy emanating from him was characteristic of a Normal Awakened.

Before Ye Lee could respond, Yun Man chimed in.

"Senior, this is my upperclassman, Chen Yun. He's the top prodigy at Annan Academy," Yun Man said with evident joy.

"So, what is the White Lotus Cult, exactly?" Ye Lee asked, his tone nonchalant.

Chen Yun's brow creased at the question. He wasn't just Annan Academy's top talent; he was also the Young Lord of one of An'nan Base City's prominent martial cultivator families, the Chen family. Yet, Ye Lee seemed to disregard his stature completely.

"Yun Man, who is he, really?"

"Senior Chen Yun."

It was then that Yun Man realized she didn't know Ye Lee's name. She turned to him expectantly.

"I'm Ye Lee," he introduced himself calmly.

"Ye Lee, why does Yun Man refer to you as 'Senior'?"

Chen Yun's gaze was icy as he regarded Ye Lee, his features darkening.

"That's none of your concern. Just fill me in on the White Lotus Cult," Ye Lee replied coolly.

"Senior Chen Yun, the Senior is incredibly powerful. He can merge two zombies into one and even control it," Yun Man explained.

"And just now, he turned four advanced awakened from the White Lotus Cult into zombies," she added.

Chen Yun let out a derisive laugh, "Yun Man, he's merely a Normal Awakened."

The gap between a Normal Awakened and an advanced awakened was significant. An advanced awakened wouldn't normally take notice of someone with lesser abilities.

"Senior Chen Yun, I'm telling the truth," Yun Man insisted, anxious to convince him.

Chen Yun huffed dismissively and continued to fix Ye Lee with a frosty stare.

"What have you done to Yun Man?"

With a secret smirk, Ye Lee found it amusing that Chen Yun, a mere advanced awakened, had the audacity to challenge him.

"Senior Chen Yun, you shouldn't speak to a Senior in such a manner, or else..."

Yun Man feared that Ye Lee might unleash Ah Da, transforming Chen Yun into a zombie.

But Chen Yun paid no heed to Yun Man, his gaze fixed intently on Ye Lee.

"If you refuse to speak, then don't fault me for my discourtesy!" Chen Yun declared icily.

In a sudden move, Chen Yun lunged at Ye Lee!

"Ah Da, give him a lesson," Ye Lee commanded calmly.

Ah Da emerged from the System Space, aiming a fierce punch at Chen Yun.

Chen Yun's eyes went wide as he tried to evade, but Ah Da's punch was lightning-fast, leaving him no chance to dodge.

Chen Yun was hurled against the wall, coughing up blood.

Ignoring his injuries, he looked up in horror at Ah Da, standing before Ye Lee.

"A first rank zombie?"

Chen Yun was in disbelief that Copper City could harbor a first rank zombie.

Ye Lee strolled over to where Chen Yun lay and regarded him coolly.

"Senior, Senior Chen Yun realizes his mistake. Please, spare him," pleaded Yun Man urgently.

Observing Chen Yun's face, stricken with terror, Ye Lee spoke deliberately,

"Now, are you ready to discuss the White Lotus Cult with me?"
