C19 Give Me One or Two Treasures

"Kid, you looking to stick your nose where it doesn't belong?" Guardian Scorpion glared at Ye Lee.

"Exactly, I'm all about meddling," Ye Lee responded calmly.

Mei Lin, clutching her wound, struggled to speak to Ye Lee, "You're no match for him. Get out of here, fast."

Ye Lee offered a faint smile in return. "Maybe I'm not his match, but you certainly are."

Guardian Scorpion burst into loud laughter upon hearing this, as if it was the funniest joke he'd ever heard.

"What's so funny?" Ye Lee inquired, puzzled.

"I'm laughing at your ignorance, facing death and still clueless. A mere Normal Awakened, and you have the audacity to boast?" Guardian Scorpion sneered with contempt.

Ye Lee just shook his head slightly and then retrieved a Super Life Potion from the System Space.

"Drink this, and your wounds will heal," he told Mei Lin with a serene expression.

Mei Lin paused, taken aback. Though skeptical of Ye Lee's claim, something in her gut told her he wasn't deceiving her.

"Kid, I'm curious to see what kind of game you're playing," Guardian Scorpion said, arms crossed, watching Ye Lee with amusement.

"Drink it," Ye Lee urged gently.

After a moment's hesitation, Mei Lin bit her lip, took the Super Life Potion, and drank it down. As she did, a miracle unfolded before their eyes.

Her wounds mended at a visible rate, and her Spiritual Energy surged back to its peak.

"How can this be?" Guardian Scorpion gasped, his eyes wide in disbelief.

Mei Lin was equally astounded, unable to fathom the existence of such a miraculous potion in the world.

"Now, you can beat him," Ye Lee stated plainly.

Guardian Scorpion had expended much of his Spiritual Energy in his recent clash with Mei Lin, leaving him nearly drained.

"Kid, we'll meet again!" Suddenly, Guardian Scorpion turned tail and fled with unprecedented speed, leaving even Ye Lee momentarily dumbfounded.

Guardian Scorpion's decision to run was undeniably shrewd; otherwise, he would have surely met his end at the edge of Mei Lin's purple sword.

"Thank you," Mei Lin said, her eyes brimming with gratitude as she looked at Ye Lee.

"Don't mention it. Just hand over a treasure or two," Ye Lee replied nonchalantly.

Ye Lee was not one to come out on the losing end. He had provided Mei Lin with the Super Life Potion, and he expected something in return.

"Treasures?" Mei Lin was taken aback, not having anticipated such a request from Ye Lee.

"Yes, let's have them," he urged, extending his hands expectantly.

Mei Lin gazed at Ye Lee, her surprise evident. Despite his youth, his eyes were unforgettable—tranquil as the night and as profound as the ocean.

"I don't possess any treasures on me," Mei Lin confessed, a hint of embarrassment in her voice. She recognized the divine water Ye Lee had given her must be exceedingly valuable, and his desire for compensation seemed reasonable.

Ye Lee let out a silent sigh, inwardly conceding that he had taken a significant loss on this exchange.

"However, I am a teacher at Annan Academy. If you're interested in attending, I can secure your admission," Mei Lin offered.

"I'm not interested in Annan Academy, but you'd better have that treasure ready for me—I could come to collect it at any moment," Ye Lee said calmly.

Mei Lin paused, perplexed once more. "What treasure do you mean?"

"I'm not sure myself. Just make sure it's not a disappointment," he replied.

With that, Ye Lee turned and walked away with measured steps.
