C20 The Female Zombie Hongye

Mei Lin watched Ye Lee's retreating figure and rubbed her eyes, feeling as if she were seeing things.

She couldn't fathom why such an odd individual existed, especially one who was just a normal Awakened.

"What treasure is he even talking about?" Mei Lin wondered aloud.

Ye Lee himself was clueless about the treasure he sought. Having only arrived in this world ten days prior, he was unaware of any treasures that might exist here. Unbeknownst to him, Mei Lin didn't possess any treasure either.

"Ah, Yun Man."

Snapping out of her reverie, Mei Lin quickly sent a message to Yun Man using her communication table.

"Yun Man, stay put. I'm on my way."

With that, Mei Lin set off toward the hotel.

As Ye Lee continued on, he questioned the value of his actions. The Super Life Potion was miraculous, and he had parted with it so easily. What was he to do now?

Having already used it, he resolved to seize an opportunity to visit An'nan Base City and claim his due treasure.

Night had fallen, and Ye Lee decided to postpone his quest until the next day. He found a spot to rest, had Ah Da stand guard, and went to sleep.

"Congratulations, Host, on acquiring 12 Zombie Treasure Boxes. Would you like to open them all at once?"

"Open," Ye Lee responded without a moment's hesitation. He had long awaited the Zombie Treasure Boxes.

"You've gained 200 Genome Points, 200 Strength Points, 200 Speed Points, and 200 Defense Points."

"Ten boxes of food, and one chance to use the Zombie Enchantment."

"Congratulations, Host, on advancing to a Seventh Level Awakened."

Ye Lee was elated. He had leaped from a Fifth Level Awakened straight to the Seventh Level, but with twelve Zombie Treasure Boxes, it seemed only natural.

But what exactly was the Zombie Enchantment?

Zombie Enchantment: You can choose to enhance a zombie's strength, speed, or defense.

Ye Lee was astonished. He had long intended to cultivate a female zombie with pre-existing special abilities. Now, his chance had arrived.

He placed the First Grade female zombie from his System Space into the fusion grid and took the opportunity to apply the Zombie Enchantment.

Enchantments came in three varieties: Strength, Speed, and Defense.

Ye Lee pondered for a moment. Given that it was a female zombie, opting for Strength and Defense seemed ill-advised.

Without hesitation, he chose to enchant her with Speed, and the First Grade female zombie was instantly endowed with a speed superpower.

He observed the female zombie before him. Although the first rank zombie possessed a glimmer of intelligence, she was yet to acquire speech.

Ye Lee knew that zombies became more attractive as they advanced in level, so he wasn't concerned.

"I need to name this female zombie. What should it be?"

After a brief contemplation, Ye Lee nodded, addressing the First Grade female zombie, "From now on, you'll be known as Hongye."

[Host has named the zombie, awarding a Treasure Chest.]

Without a second thought, Ye Lee opened the Treasure Chest.

"You have received a red dress suit."

Ye Lee was taken aback. A red dress suit?

Red dress suit: +10 to Appearance.

"Hongye will look much better in this," he mused.

Eagerly, Ye Lee dressed Hongye in the red dress suit.

He was astounded, swearing he was genuinely taken aback.

There stood Hongye, adorned in the red dress suit, her hair cascading down to her waist. Despite the lingering signs of her zombification, she was truly beautiful.

"Hongye?"

Ye Lee called out involuntarily, even though he was aware that Hongye couldn't yet speak.

He imagined how much more stunning Hongye would become as she leveled up. If she were to achieve such delicate skin, her beauty would be unparalleled.

And if she were to call him 'husband'...

Ye Lee couldn't bear to let his thoughts wander any further.
