C14 I will Buy This Shop!

"Hey boss, if the store's called the Merchant Shop, don't you think only having two items is a bit sparse?" Bu Lige remarked, unable to hold back after finishing his cola and spicy sticks.

Though tasty and potent, Bu Lige saw a critical flaw in the spicy sticks and cola: their scant quantity!

The shopkeeper was at a loss about the limited merchandise. Didn't he long for new products?

Lo Chuan, hearing Bu Lige's comment, couldn't help but roll his eyes.

He thought one thing, but his words softened: "We'll have new items in the future."

"Boss, that's the third time you've said that," Bu Lige quipped, lips twisted in a smirk.

Lo Chuan offered no reply.

After some more banter, Bu Lige exited the shop...

At that moment, a lavishly decorated carriage rolled slowly into Deepmount City through the eastern gate.

Powered by a Qinglin Horse, a formidable presence radiated from the beast.

Legend had it that the Qinglin Horse carried a hint of dragon's blood, reaching the Creation Stage at maturity!

Cultivators and civilians alike stepped aside, faces awash with awe.

Prominently displayed at the carriage's fore was a symbol: a silver moon.

To the denizens of Deepmount, this emblem was well-known—it represented Silver Moon Manor!

Silver Moon Manor, a formidable sect near the Heavenly Star Empire, boasted strength surpassing that of the empire itself!

"Wow, I never imagined I'd find myself in Deepmount," the young master mused.

"Master has instructed us to simply secure a place to stay. But do be mindful, the Heavenly Star Emperor is formidable. We should keep a low profile," advised his companion.

"Yeah, yeah, I know..."

Conversations echoed within the carriage.

Watching the carriage's arrival, a city gate officer commanded gravely, "Report to the Emperor at once—Silver Moon Manor's people have entered Deepmount!"

"Understood!"

...

Peering through the carriage window, the young man's eyes betrayed an undisguised contempt for the teeming crowd outside.

The carriage rolled on, meandering through the streets until it came upon a narrow alley. The young man inside caught a glimpse of the scene within and his eyes sparkled with interest.

"Halt!" he commanded.

The carriage ground to a stop.

"What seems to be the matter, Young Master?" asked the old coachman, parting the curtains with a puzzled look.

"Ah, to set up shop in such a quaint spot," the young man mused with a chuckle. "Come, Uncle Fu, let's have a look."

He stepped down from the carriage and made his way into the alley, with Uncle Fu hastily trailing behind.

In no time, they stood before the storefront.

"Origin Merchant Shop!" he read aloud.

The young man paused, then laughed scornfully. "Quite the lofty name they've chosen!"

His gaze then landed on Lo Chuan, who was lounging in a chair by the entrance. After a brief attempt to sense any spiritual energy and finding none, he shook his head, a touch of disappointment in his expression. "Merely a mortal."

Still, for a mere mortal to live out his days in such simplicity could be considered a clever choice.

But as the young man's eyes swept over the shop's interior, they narrowed sharply.

"Liu Li! All of it is top-quality glass!"

A smile spread across his face, delighted by the unexpected find. He had only intended a leisurely stroll, yet fortune had smiled upon him.

Liu Li, though a mundane material, was coveted by many wealthy merchants and cultivators for its exquisite appearance. A palm-sized piece of pure glass could fetch hundreds of spiritual crystals!

If he could acquire all the glass in this shop, he'd never have to fret over spending money again.

"Snap out of it, I'm buying your shop!" he called out to Lo Chuan.
