C12 Innate Divine Abilities
Under Xiao Xiaofan's meticulous guidance, the Middle-Grade Blood Revival Pill and the Middle-Grade Qi Replenishing Pill vibrated incessantly, beginning to subtly fade from the bottom up.
Wisps of powder emerged, and Xiao Xiaofan quickly managed to gather and blend them!
Though intertwined, the powders remained distinctly separate, showing no inclination to merge.
Xiao Xiaofan didn't rush to further disassemble the pills; instead, he steadily infused the entwined powders with Battle Aura.
With persistent effort, Xiao Xiaofan eventually coaxed the powders into merging.
Relieved at this progress, he followed the manual's instructions, knowing he simply had to repeat the process.
Once fully merged, Xiao Xiaofan paused to catch his breath and rest momentarily. Feeling rejuvenated, he resumed the breakdown of the remaining components.
As time ticked by, the final stage of merging approached.
Xiao Xiaofan waited until he was at his best before proceeding with the delicate task.
The final steps proved increasingly challenging, particularly the last merge.
Despite having the alchemist's handbook, Xiao Xiaofan remained vigilant and meticulous.
At last, under his watchful eye, the powders fused completely.
The original red and blue pills had vanished, replaced by a single green pill radiating a soft halo.
Middle-Grade Rejuvenation Pill: Instantly restores twenty-five percent of injuries and Battle Aura, followed by a gradual fifteen percent recovery over the next five seconds.
Xiao Xiaofan exhaled deeply, his eyes reflecting pride and satisfaction.
One pill could rejuvenate both Battle Aura and injuries, with an enhanced effect of five percent!
He might not know the quality of an alchemist's pills, but he was confident that his Rejuvenation Pill was exceptional.
The mere small red bottle had already astonished Lan Luo and the others; the worth of this vastly improved middle-grade Rejuvenation Pill was beyond doubt!
Without pausing for a break, Xiao Xiaofan pressed on with the refinement of the Rejuvenation Pills.
It wasn't until the break of dawn the following day that Xiao Xiaofan completed the entire batch of medicines.
After a night of tireless effort, he successfully crafted fifty Rejuvenation Pills and five Middle-Grade Great Rejuvenation Pills. Despite the subtle difference in their names, the two were worlds apart. The latter was crafted from undiluted, higher-grade medicinal ingredients.
Middle-Grade Great Rejuvenation Pill: Instantly restores fifty-five percent of injuries and Battle Aura, followed by a gradual recovery of twenty percent over the next five seconds. It might seem like just a thirty percent increase in recovery, but the impact was revolutionary.
Medicines come with resistance issues, preventing the continuous use of recovery potions in quick succession. Hence, that additional thirty percent played a crucial role. Imagine, in the throes of battle, both fighters are drained, and your opponent can only restore twenty-five percent of their strength with their pills, while you can rejuvenate fifty-five percent. For a Fighter, this could be the deciding factor in victory.
Despite having stayed up all night, Xiao Xiaofan felt no fatigue. Quite the opposite – the Sacred Body left him feeling more invigorated than ever. This meant he could continue his cultivation while others rested.
After a brief tidy-up, the group set off once more. Along the way, Xiao Xiaofan dispatched most of the Level 2 Demonic Beasts they encountered, including a formidable Level 2 Mid-Rank Demonic Beast. The battle yielded a Bronze Treasure Chest, containing three small blood vials and three small mana vials. While the rewards were modest, they were nonetheless gratifying.
Xiao Xiaofan had now completed twelve missions, with only eighty-eight remaining before he could unlock the potent Summoner skill, Weakness. This skill promised to make overpowering stronger adversaries a much simpler task.
Xiao Xiaofan surmised that before acquiring the Fatal Strike skill, his capabilities were on par with Lan Luo's, albeit with a wider array of tactics. Now, with Fatal Strike in his arsenal, Lan Luo was no longer a match for him – his power was now comparable to that of a Seven Star Warmaster. However, as anticipated, Fatal Strike demanded a significant expenditure of Battle Aura.
With his current level of Battle Aura, he could likely unleash it only twice more. Thankfully, his Divine Body enhanced his stamina.
The initial shock the Blue River Mercenary Group felt towards Xiao Xiaofan had slowly turned to numbness. They had hoped to kill a few early and middle-stage Level-2 monsters on their return journey to make some extra cash, but Xiao Xiaofan, like a man possessed, slaughtered any beast that crossed his path!
For someone with the strength of a Three-star Warmaster to single-handedly take down middle-stage Level-2 monsters was astonishing. Even for someone fighting above their level, this seemed too extreme!
They had quietly branded Xiao Xiaofan as both a madman and a freak, which somehow made them feel slightly better.
After all, they were only human and couldn't possibly measure up to such a freak of nature!
Luckily, he showed no interest in Level-1 monsters, so their efforts weren't entirely in vain.
"Um..." Blue River approached Xiao Xiaofan, hesitated briefly, then whispered, "Xiaofan, I have a question for you..."
Xiao Xiaofan looked a bit surprised, then replied with a smile, "Uncle Blue, please ask away. Don't hold back."
Still uncertain, Blue River bit his lip and ventured, "Xiaofan, when you fought the Black Rock Demon Bear, was that recovery ability you asked us to use an innate divine power?"
Innate divine power?
Xiao Xiaofan was taken aback, having never heard the term before.
He responded gently, "Uncle Blue, what makes you think I used an innate divine power?"
"Well... I've only heard about innate powers, but judging by the effects of your actions, it's not hard to see!" Blue River mused for a moment before adding softly, "Innate powers differ from combat skills; they are natural gifts!"
"Deploying an innate power doesn't need the support of Battle Aura and can be immensely powerful, but it comes with inherent restrictions and can't be used indiscriminately."
"Moreover, innate powers can achieve effects beyond the reach of combat skills, much like what you did that day!"
The more Blue River spoke, the firmer his tone became, solidifying his belief in his own speculation.
Xiao Xiaofan pondered for a moment, realizing that his Summoner skills were indeed as Lan Luo had described. It seemed that all Summoner skills were innate abilities, with the cooldown period serving as a limitation on these powers. He nodded and whispered, "You're right, it's definitely an innate ability! Uncle Lan, please keep this a secret and don't tell anyone else."
He wasn't sure how rare innate abilities were, but he knew it was best to keep such information to a minimum. That way, he'd have an additional ace up his sleeve. Currently, his Summoner skills included Ghost Steps and Healing, meaning he possessed two innate abilities.
Upon hearing this, Lan Luo's face lit up with understanding, and he nodded earnestly. "Xiaofan, rest assured, we at Blueprint will never divulge this secret. If we do, may the heavens strike us down!"
Xiao Xiaofan offered a slight smile, reassuringly saying, "I trust you, Uncle Lan, and everyone else. There's no need for oaths."
In Lukish, oaths were not taken lightly, unlike in Xiao Xiaofan's previous life. Here, breaking an oath could have real consequences, which is why people were generally reluctant to swear them, especially when it involved their martial arts.
As they conversed, they arrived at the gates of Sylhasera City. Gazing upon the city, Xiao Xiaofan was flooded with memories. He remembered arriving on this continent as nothing more than a beggar, fortunate enough to receive kindness from a beautiful stranger. He wondered when he might see her again, and there was also the matter of the Chen Family, the clan he was determined to bring down.
