C8 Unreasonable Boss Wang!

Qin Xiaoliu burst out of the private boxing gym, thumping his chest to calm himself.

"That woman is terrifying, so mercurial," he muttered. "I'd better not cross her again."

His thoughts quickly shifted to the task at hand.

In the original story, Lin Feng was supposed to complete this mission, which led to City-Toppling Beauty falling for him.

Now that he had taken over the mission, completing it would alter the storyline and earn him points of fortune. That meant another chance to draw new skills.

But he reminded himself to take things slowly, to plan carefully how to recover the debt.

As far as he remembered, Lin Feng had confronted Boss Wang to collect a debt, eventually subduing him with force, and even ended up with Wang insisting on becoming his lackey.

Given his own force value, he was confident he could achieve the same result.

With his strategy set, he decided to use brute force to assert dominance!

He hailed a cab at the roadside.

"Driver, head to Yun Hua Road in the south city," he instructed before sliding into the backseat.

Looking out at the passing scenery, he felt a surreal sense of his rebirth, a mix of amusement and disbelief.

Now at odds with Lin Feng, who had the protagonist's buff, he had to be cautious. But with the system on his side, fear wasn't an option.

"Whatever happens, I'll just play the part of a loyal sidekick," he resolved. "I'll deal with challenges as they come—counter every move, adapt to every change."

The taxi came to a halt, snapping him back to the present. He handed the fare to the driver.

"Keep the change, thanks," he said, stepping out of the vehicle.

The driver, staring at the crumpled twenty-dollar bill, was visibly puzzled. The fare was nineteen dollars, and this passenger was telling him to keep a single dollar as if it were a generous tip.

"Acting rich when you're broke, huh?" the driver thought, shaking his head at the absurdity.

Qin Xiaoliu was oblivious to the driver's inner thoughts.

Had she been aware, she would have certainly stormed back to give him a piece of her mind.

"This is the largest bill I've got, and you're still turning up your nose at it?" she would have said with fierce indignation.

Meanwhile, Qin Xiaoliu had arrived at a narrow alleyway.

A building materials shop was nestled inside.

Boss Wang ran the place, though it was merely a front for his real moneymaker: the gambling operations he oversaw in South City.

Squinting at the sign for Wang Faang Building Materials, Qin Xiaoliu stepped through the doorway.

Inside, a yellow-haired punk with a cigarette dangling from his lips lounged at the reception, exuding an air of defiance.

Noticing Qin Xiaoliu, he snuffed out his cigarette and rose to his feet, asking,

"Are you here to buy materials, boss? We've got a comprehensive selection. Feel free to browse."

Qin Xiaoliu fixed him with a steady gaze and stated coolly,

"I'm here to see Boss Wang."

"Oh, you're here for the boss. Please, have a seat. I'll give him a call right away," the yellow-haired man said, unfazed. Visitors for the boss were a daily occurrence.

He dialed Wang Faang's number.

"Hello, boss. We have a visitor for you. Tall, rather good-looking. Yes, I'll pass the phone over now."

Handing the phone to Qin Xiaoliu, he relayed, "The boss wants to speak with you."

Qin Xiaoliu accepted the phone.

"Hello, Boss Wang."

"Who's this?" came Boss Wang's gruff voice from the other end.

"Boss Wang, seems you're too important to remember the little people. I'm representing Boss Li," Qin Xiaoliu responded coolly.

"Damn it, Li Qingcheng, that woman, it's just a million she's owed."

"I never said I wouldn't pay. You people are hounding me every other day."

"Where's my respect supposed to go?"

"Don't you people even bother to find out who I, Wang Faang, am?"

Wang Faang's furious bellow echoed through the phone.

Qin Xiaoliu felt his own temper flare upon hearing those words.

"Mr. Wang, when you borrowed money, you signed a promissory note with our company."

"The repayment date on that note was the 13th of last month."

"Over a month has passed. Are you still not planning to repay the debt, Mr. Wang?"

"And another thing, if you're concerned about losing face, doesn't our company deserve the same consideration?"

Qin Xiaoliu couldn't help but think, true to form for a deadbeat. Such brazenness was enough to make anyone embarrassed.

"Kid, I can tell you're just the messenger, so I'll spare you the trouble. I'll lay it out for you!"

"I've got money to burn. I just choose not to pay."

"Hey, I'm just messing around. What are you going to do about it?"

"If you've got the guts, come find me at Hongfu Spa Center, and I'll hand over the cash."

"If you're chicken, have your boss, Li Qingcheng, come see me in person."

"And let me tell you, your boss is quite the looker."

"I just wonder how he stacks up against the ladies at the spa."

"If he can satisfy your 'prince' here, I wouldn't just part with a million—I'd cough up five million."

"I'm telling you—"

Before he could finish, Qin Xiaoliu cut off the call.

In that moment, Qin Xiaoliu was seething with rage.

Wang Faang was truly begging for trouble, daring to harbor such indecent thoughts about their boss.

Their boss might be strict, but he never treated them like servants. Insult the boss, and Qin Xiaoliu wouldn't hold back his wrath.

He tossed his phone to his yellow-haired colleague and stormed out.

Meanwhile, at the Hongfu Spa Center.

A muscular man with a rugged face and a dragon tattoo sprawling across his chest was soaking in the bath.

With a bikini-clad, heavily made-up woman in his arms, he roughly squeezed her chest.

"Damn it, you wench. Since when do I, Wang Faang, ever pay back what I owe?"

"You should be grateful I'm even acknowledging you. Without the Li family, you'd be nothing."

Wang Faang was seething with indignation, unable to fathom how a woman had the audacity to overstep her bounds with him.

Did she really think he, Wang Faang, was a pushover?!

"Oh, darling, you're hurting me," the heavily made-up woman whined.

"There, there, my little sweetheart, let Brother Wang help you release some steam," he said, his hands roaming over her as he spoke.

The woman tilted her head back, her breaths coming in soft gasps.

Just as Wang Faang was gearing up for his conquest, one of his men burst in.

"Boss, we've got trouble. Someone's broken in."

He then caught sight of the scene before him: the boss and a woman, both as bare as the day they were born.

Wang Faang was startled, his anger deflating on the spot. He exploded in rage.

"Damn it, who let you in here? Crap, talk about bad luck!"

"Boss, someone's barged in," the underling muttered, eyes darting to the naked figure in the bathhouse.

"Let's go. I'm going to see who's got the nerve to trespass on my turf."

Snatching up his bathrobe and throwing it on, Wang Faang strode out with purpose.

His underling trailed behind, unable to keep his eyes off the seductive woman.

She caught the underling's stare and sent a sultry wink his way before sashaying towards the shore.

The underling's eyes nearly burst into flames. Damn, she was a temptress.

Meanwhile, Wang Faang demanded, "Who's the intruder?"

"Boss, we don't know who he is," the underling confessed.

"He's tall, and he's handsome," he added, snapping his gaze back to Wang Faang and responding with deference.

He thought to himself that once the boss had his fill, he'd beg for a chance with her.

And when that time came, he'd make sure she got what she deserved.

Hearing his underling's description, Wang Faang was taken aback.

"Brave kid, I'll give him that. He's got some nerve showing up here."
