C6 Captured!

As Su Bai was overwhelmed by the intense electric shock from the jellyfish, he managed to release a copious amount of venom, smearing it all over the jellyfish's face.

There was a little boy with a fox tail and a pair of ears on his head. He looked adorably plump and rosy, irresistibly huggable, and one could hardly resist the urge to smother him with kisses.

Yet, at that moment, the boy's face bore a look of distress.

"We haven't caught any food in days. If this keeps up, my sister and I are going to starve!" he grumbled as he walked, hoping for some divine mercy for himself and his sister, who hadn't had a full meal in three days.

Sadly, no miracles rained down from the heavens. The boy failed to catch any food and was heading home empty-handed.

As he followed the river, a sudden white glint caught his eye.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a large toad, belly-up!

"Wow, such a big toad! Now my sister and I will have something to eat!" he exclaimed, scooping the toad out of the water with glee.

Turning the toad over, the boy couldn't help but remark, "What an ugly toad!"

But looks aside, once the toad was cooked into a fragrant stew, it wouldn't be ugly anymore. Besides, this toad seemed plump and likely delicious when stewed.

After tying up the toad, who was actually Su Bai in a stunned state, with a rope, the boy hoisted it onto his shoulder.

"This toad is so heavy!" he complained after a few steps. Despite the weight, he persevered, trudging forward.

Su Bai, having been electrified by the jellyfish, felt oddly refreshed.

After passing out, he dreamt that he was asleep and kissed by a beautiful princess, which transformed him into a dashing prince.

Groggily waking up, he found no princess before him, but instead, his body was being hoisted on the shoulder of a little boy with two fluffy ears.

Struggling a bit, Su Bai realized he was bound with rope.

Still groggy from his recent awakening, Su Bai decided not to resist. He was curious to see where this little boy, who might be a fox demon, a weasel demon, or a cat demon, was taking him.

After yawning, Su Bai remained motionless, ready to follow the little boy—whose true nature, whether a fox spirit, weasel spirit, or cat spirit, was unknown—to see where the boy intended to take him.

The little boy's presence was faint, and Su Bai sensed no threat from him, so he allowed himself to drift off to sleep peacefully.

Humming a peculiar melody, the boy cheerfully made his way home. Upon reaching the cave, he tossed Su Bai onto the ground and scampered inside.

"Sister, sister, I've caught an ugly toad. We're going to have a feast today!"

Jolted awake by the little boy's toss, Su Bai quickly came to his senses. Yet, he remained still, squinting at the beautiful woman emerging from the cave.

"What a knockout!" he thought.

"Wow, she's got a great figure, though a tad on the thin side!"

"Those ears on her head look pretty cool, and the tail's not bad either!"

Su Bai couldn't help but salivate at the sight.

The little boy approached Su Bai once more, squatting down for a closer inspection, and suddenly sensed something amiss.

"Huh, why is this toad foaming at the mouth?"

Black lines of frustration appeared above Su Bai's head as the slender beauty cautiously stepped forward.

"He's not poisoned, is he? We can't eat him if that's the case!"

Hearing they might not be able to eat their catch, the boy's face flushed with disappointment.

"It's definitely not poison. Definitely not!"

"Hey, he's moving! He untied the rope himself. He's going to escape!"

The little boy was startled as Su Bai flipped over.

Amidst the boy's cries of alarm, Su Bai's body rapidly expanded. In an instant, he transformed from a belly-up toad into a dashing young man.

"Ah, the toad's alive! Sister, run for it! I'll protect you!"

The little boy wasn't deterred by the abrupt transformation; instead, he lunged to cling to Su Bai's leg.

Su Bai rolled his eyes and effortlessly hoisted the boy up with one hand.

"You rascal, if you try to harm my sister, I'll fight you with everything I've got!"

The little boy flailed his tiny arms, trying to reach Su Bai, but his short reach was in vain.

Seeing that Su Bai posed no threat to her brother, the girl didn't intervene. Instead, she regarded Su Bai with a mix of curiosity and caution.

After a moment of panic, the slender girl saw that Su Bai had not harmed her little brother, so she didn't step forward to stop him. Instead, she sized up Su Bai with a curious gaze.

"Listen up, you little rascal, if you don't stop, I won't be so nice!" Su Bai's threat seemed to have no effect on the little boy, who kept swinging his small hands, trying to grab Su Bai.

"I'm going to beat you up to protect my sister!" The little boy's voice, still tinged with childishness, rang out as he continued to flail his tiny fists.

The most effective way to discipline a mischievous child is often through a show of force. Besides, who could blame him when the little rascal had the audacity to call him ugly? Of course, Su Bai, now a young man, was far from what one would call ugly.

Grabbing the little boy, Su Bai held him in front of himself with one arm and gave him a couple of firm pats on the bottom. The frail girl watched with wise eyes, making no move to intervene.

"Ow, that hurts, you meanie! Let me go!" The little boy kicked his short legs and burst into tears.

After setting the boy down, Su Bai put on a menacing face. "Cry again, and I'll eat you up!" The boy quickly clamped his mouth shut, signaling that he would behave.

Satisfied, Su Bai nodded and turned his attention to the frail girl. He examined her ears and tail with a sense of wonder. He couldn't help but marvel whether the siblings had transformed from foxes or weasels. The thought that they might be weasels sent a shiver down Su Bai's spine, and he quickly dismissed the impulse to touch the girl's swaying tail.

"Ahem, excuse me, I have a few questions?" Su Bai said after releasing the boy, who scurried behind his sister and peeked out, eyeing Su Bai warily.

"Please, ask away!" The frail girl blinked her large eyes, her voice ringing clear and melodious, belying her delicate appearance.

"What place is this?" Su Bai inquired. He had spent several days exploring and had gained some understanding of this world, but there was still so much he didn't know. The unknown was always the most dangerous, and he needed to learn as much as he could to ensure his survival.

It was no small feat for a tadpole to evolve into a big toad, and Su Bai had no intention of squandering his efforts. He was determined to continue evolving and one day become a frog prince.
