C8 Evil(2)

Wang Yufei regarded Wang Shaofeng with a gaze as cold as if he were staring at a corpse. Upon hearing Yufei's words, Lee Tianhu burst into a wide grin, his white teeth gleaming against his laughter, his eyes blazing with fury.

As he advanced toward Yufei, Lee Tianhu shook his head, his bones crackling loudly like beans popping in a fryer. Everyone present was aware that Tianhu was gearing up for action, his talent reminiscent of a python striking from its lair.

The memory of how Tianhu had once pummeled Yufei, leaving him as limp as a beaten dog, was unforgettable to the onlookers. It appeared history was about to repeat itself.

Yufei was filled with regret. Had he only cultivated his skills more diligently, he might have stood a chance. With the Thunderbolt Divine Fist and the Asura Berserk Technique at his disposal, he could have faced Tianhu with a measure of confidence. But now, Yufei had no intention of confronting Tianhu.

Instead, Yufei was ready to assign Tianhu a task. "System, I want to issue Lee Tianhu a mission: to challenge Wang Shaofeng within one minute, turning them against each other. If Tianhu fails, his punishment will be the crippling of his own cultivation."

Yufei had an abundance of points at his disposal. He even checked the reward for Tianhu's mission, selecting the least desirable option—a half-finished pill designed to enhance one's physique, its efficacy a far cry from that of the Bone Refining Pill.

Yufei couldn't help but feel elated. Having this system was truly advantageous. His reward was merely a half-finished pill. He couldn't help but wonder if Tianhu would be so enraged that he'd spit blood.

"The mission has been created. Progress: incomplete. If Lee Tianhu does not challenge Wang Shaofeng within one minute, he will face the punishment of crippling his own cultivation. The reward for the mission is one half-finished pill."

Yufei watched the metal panel, a smirk playing on his lips as the mission was set. Lee Tianhu, with his fist raised, was about to deliver a vicious blow to Yufei's head, much to the delight of the onlookers who were eager for a spectacle.

They were anticipating the thrill of seeing Yufei's head shatter, a sight that would bring them immense satisfaction. However, at this pivotal moment, the sect's mission arrived, and to Tianhu's dismay, he found himself tasked with challenging Wang Shaofeng. What sort of mission was this, indeed?

Could it be that the elders who issued the mission had lost their minds? Normally, disciples of the sect are only allowed one mission per day, yet Lee Tianhu somehow ended up with two today.

Wang Shaofeng, also known as Lee Tianhu, had heard that the more missions a disciple undertakes, the more attention they receive from the sect. The stakes for this particular mission were high; if he didn't challenge Wang Shaofeng, he'd be forced to cripple his own cultivation—a mandate from the sect.

If he chose not to challenge, and if he refused to cripple his cultivation, the sect elders would intervene personally. Lee Tianhu could guess the reason behind such a mission.

It seemed the sect was preparing to invest heavily in his training, wanting him to test his skills against Wang Shaofeng. So, in an unexpected move that left everyone gaping, Lee Tianhu charged at Wang Shaofeng, brazenly declaring his challenge.

"Wang Shaofeng, I challenge you. You think you're so great all the time, don't you?" Not only were the onlookers shocked, but Wang Shaofeng himself was taken aback. Yet Lee Tianhu was serious, his fists ready and roaring with power.

Above Lee Tianhu, a spectral python emerged, its head poking out from a dark cavern, eyes gleaming like lightbulbs with an eerie glow. It let out a furious roar.

Its massive tail came crashing down, sweeping toward Wang Shaofeng's head. The attack was so swift it caught everyone, including Wang Shaofeng, off guard.

Luckily, Wang Shaofeng's talent had awakened just half a month prior. He let out a cry, and the air around him began to swirl, forming a protective vortex that enveloped him.

But the python was not just for show; its formidable power lashed against Wang Shaofeng's swirling shield, causing his body to shudder and involuntarily retreat.

Wang Shaofeng, fists clenched, faced the oncoming Lee Tianhu and sneered, "You're truly seeking death. A nine-star warrior daring to provoke a two-star Apprentice of Might? You've got guts."

Wang Shaofeng was seething with rage, his voice icy cold. Lee Tianhu felt a twinge of unease, but he had no other option. To fulfill his sect's mission, he had to steel himself and challenge someone with the prowess of a Two-star Apprentice of Might.

The crowd was baffled, yet the real excitement was just around the corner. Wang Yufei was well aware that Lee Tianhu stood no chance against Wang Shaofeng, so he generously issued a mission to Zhang Tianmeng.

Naturally, the mission mirrored Lee Tianhu's: to challenge Wang Shaofeng. For issuing this challenge, Wang Yufei received two rewards. The first was an incredible fivefold skill cultivation experience, meaning that while others might take half a month to master a skill, Wang Yufei could potentially do it overnight. His grin was ear to ear at the prospect of mastering the Asura Berserk skill before dawn.

The second reward was a skill experience card, not for skill cultivation but for a one-time experience of a skill called Thunderbolt Hand.

With a smirk, Wang Yufei contemplated the power of Thunderbolt Hand. Today, he was determined to humble the overconfident Wang Shaofeng, even if it meant inflicting injury. In that moment, he turned to Wang Xianglan, who was within arm's reach, and earnestly asked, "Little sister, if I were to launch a surprise attack on Wang Shaofeng and ended up injuring him, would you hold it against me?" Wang Yufei wasn't one to overflow with sympathy; he could disregard the feelings and thoughts of others but not the kindness Wang Chunlan had shown him.

Without Wang Chunlan, he mused, his physical body would have long since decayed.

"Brother, what are you saying? Even if you and Wang Shaofeng were locked in a life-or-death struggle, I would always be on your side. I know you'd only take such action out of sheer necessity," Wang Chunlan expressed her unwavering support.
