C15 You Lost!

Everyone stared at Faang Yu as if he were a fool.

Wasn't it obvious?

There stood Zhao Gaang in the hall, flanked by four third-rate martial artists for protection.

The room was filled with notable individuals from Diannan City, each a prominent figure.

Did Faang Yu actually have the audacity to confront Zhao Gaang?

Surprise flickered in Zhao Gaang's eyes as he regarded Faang Yu like a lamb to the slaughter.

"Kid, are you certain you want to challenge me?"

Faang Yu nodded calmly. "Yes, I am. What do you say? Are you brave enough to take this wager?"

Zhao Gaang looked at Faang Yu with a sneer. "If you lose, will you die right here in front of me, by your own hand?"

"Exactly!" Faang Yu confirmed with a nod.

"Fine!" Zhao Gaang agreed. He had been a force to reckon with for decades; he wouldn't be intimidated by a young upstart like Faang Yu.

"Well then, I accept your bet. Let's see how I will—"

"Bang!"

The sound of a gunshot reverberated in everyone's ears.

Zhao Gaang hadn't even finished his sentence.

Faang Yu had drawn a pistol and fired, striking Zhao Gaang in the thigh.

"Ah!" Zhao Gaang's agonized scream filled the hall as he collapsed, clutching his bleeding leg.

...

A hush fell over the hall.

No one had anticipated that Faang Yu would be armed, let alone brazen enough to fire a gun amidst such a crowd.

It was common knowledge that Faang Yu was the revered war god of the border, the sole heir to a prestigious family.

Given Faang Yu's status, carrying a pistol was perfectly normal; he was licensed to carry firearms.

Be it a pistol, rifle, or sniper rifle, Faang Yu was entitled to bear arms and use them.

The air itself seemed to solidify.

All eyes were fixed on Faang Yu in astonishment.

Even Wang Kai looked on with a trace of alarm in his eyes.

Though Wang Kai was no stranger to firearms, not even he would have the audacity to discharge a weapon in front of such a crowd.

Faang Yu maintained a serene composure, as though he had just performed an utterly mundane and effortless task. There was no hint of pride or a need for boasting in his demeanor; his emotions remained perfectly steady.

With a detached air, Faang Yu addressed Zhao Gaang, "Mr. Zhao, it appears you've lost..."

"Bastard!" Zhao Gaang bellowed, his voice tinged with fear. He hadn't anticipated that Faang Yu would fire his gun so decisively.

A wave of fear washed over the onlookers as they stared at Faang Yu. Among martial cultivators, some were known to possess the skill to dodge bullets, but only the elite could achieve such a feat. In all of Diannan City, there were scarcely a hundred such top-tier experts. Even the prestigious Wang family boasted few among their ranks. Typically, these experts served as protectors for Wang Kai's father, the patriarch of an eminent family.

Faang Yu's pistol commanded the room, its chilling presence intimidating everyone, including four third-rate martial cultivators. To the average person, the gun's cold, menacing aura was overwhelmingly oppressive, far surpassing the might of any Martial Cultivator Master.

In that moment, madness flickered in Zhao Linlin's eyes. "Faang Yu, you bastard! How dare you draw your weapon? You're asking for death!"

Yet Faang Yu's gaze upon Zhao Linlin was icy. When their eyes locked, she froze, feeling a jolt akin to an electric shock. The formidable pressure made even her breathing laborious.

Overcome with fear, Zhao Linlin could no longer hold Faang Yu's gaze. She clamped her mouth shut under his scornful look, fully aware that Faang Yu wouldn't hesitate to shoot. Any further provocation from her, and she knew he would pull the trigger without a second thought.

Faang Yu's cool eyes then turned back to Zhao Gaang, who by now understood he was dealing with a man who truly feared nothing. To the crowd, Faang Yu was a reckless madman, acting with complete disregard for repercussions. Their threats and attempts to use their influence against him were utterly futile.

He was solely focused on the fleeting thrill of the moment, completely disregarding the pressure his actions were placing on Faang Yu. At that instant, with defenseless individuals before him, Faang Yu's possession of a pistol made him the big brother—the ultimate authority. Faang Yu was the strongest there was.

With a detached air, Faang Yu stated, "Mr. Zhao, it's unfortunate that you've lost. Consequently, your Zhao family will no longer have a foothold in Diannan City..."

His tone was nonchalant, as if he was discussing something utterly mundane.

Upon hearing Faang Yu's declaration, everyone was taken aback, finding the notion laughable. True, Faang Yu wielded a pistol, and they wouldn't dare challenge him. But the Zhao family, with their vast wealth and billions in assets, could they really be ousted just because Faang Yu said so? Not even the Su family backing Faang Yu could topple the Zhao clan.

Such a claim might be credible coming from Wang Kai, but from Faang Yu? Everyone dismissed him as nothing more than a fool.

Zhao Gaang, fighting through his pain with a pale face, let out a cold laugh, "Quite the bold statement. I'm eager to see what makes you think you can prevent me from standing my ground in Diannan City. If you don't finish me off today, you're the one who will die. You'll pay dearly for your foolishness today!"

Faang Yu responded with unflappable calm, "Rest assured, you won't get that chance..."

Everyone scoffed at Faang Yu's words. Who did he think he was, to claim he could displace Zhao Gaang from the city?

Remaining composed, Faang Yu pulled out his phone and called Sunn Wanfu.

"What can I do for you, Young Master?" Sunn Wanfu inquired.

"You're aware of Zhao Gaang, right? He has a daughter, Zhao Linlin," Faang Yu spoke evenly.

"Yes," Sunn Wanfu acknowledged. "He's well-connected in the construction industry, has ties with the Wang family, and his assets are worth several billion. Young Master, has the Zhao family crossed you?"

"I want the Zhao family name to be history in Diannan within half an hour. Can you make it happen?"

Faang Yu's question came with an overbearing tone that brooked no argument.

With an air of ease, Sunn Wanfu replied, "Certainly!"
