C9 A woman
I didn't dare go in alone, but Jansing was nowhere to be seen, so I just sat in the car and waited for him. After about ten minutes, Jansing opened the door, panting.
"Where did you go?"
"Gulp!" Gulp! "After drinking most of the mineral water, he let out a sigh of relief and said," Pick up some things, let's go in. "
I carried the bag of mineral water on my back and followed behind the forest. "Where did you go?" There was a row of willow trees at the entrance of the village, and behind them was a wooden bridge. The river surrounded the village and Jang-lin supported me, "I just went in and checked the situation and found two more houses. We are going to spend the night here." I looked back at him and asked him what he was going to do with the car. Jansing said it was locked and no one could steal it.
There were four or five children playing under the old locust tree across the bridge, and some adults were enjoying the cool day. The weather was dark and gloomy, and it felt like it was going to rain.
Jang-lin took me around two bends and stopped at the house. The villagers had been looking at us strangely ever since we came in.
It was a middle-aged man who received us, and Jansing told me to call him Uncle Chen. There were two houses in his yard, and Jang-lin and I lived in one of them. His room was next to mine, so I left my bag on the bed and opened the window to let in some fresh air.
Uncle Chen's sudden appearance outside the window gave me a big fright. He had a cold expression on his face as he stared at me. It made me feel scared, so I simply closed the window.
He knocked on the door and sat down on his bed. "Where's Jing Shuo? When are we leaving? Go find my grandma."
Zhan Zi Lin closed the door and sat on a stool in front of me. "I don't dare to take you on a rampage. We'll have to wait for news from Jing Shuo," he said.
After listening to him, I looked out of the window. Stretching my neck, I beckoned Zhenzilin to come closer to me. I lowered my voice and asked him, "Did you notice that this place is very strange?"
Zhan Zi Lin looked at the door, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one, and smoked. "When I entered this village, I felt that the people here were very strange, but I can't find anything strange. Be careful during these two days."
I nodded my head and came out of Jang-lin's room. I saw that Uncle Chen's door was not closed, and it was pitch black inside. I walked over to the door and stuck my head in. I didn't see what was inside and was knocked on by someone from behind. I immediately turned around to see that Uncle Chen was feeling a little guilty.
Uncle Chen still had a cold expression on his face. I smiled embarrassedly: "Uncle Chen, I thought you were home." As he spoke, he pointed to the room behind him. Uncle Chen didn't pay attention to me and walked directly into the room, closing the door with a bang.
After a few cautious murmurs, Lin came out of the room and walked to my side, asking me what I was doing here. I shrugged my shoulders and looked back.
I pulled Zhan Zilin along and asked him to accompany me for a walk. This village was cold and deserted, and our village was much more lively than this. There were not many people along the way, and apart from a lot of people at the entrance to the village, almost no one could be seen.
Furthermore, all the houses closed their doors and strolled around with Zhan Zilin. It was already 7 o'clock when they returned. After eating some food, they went back to their own rooms.
Lying in bed, he couldn't sleep. His phone was gone as well. He stared at the ceiling in a daze. He didn't know if Lin had slept or not. Just as he was about to go talk to him, the door was knocked. "Bam!" There was a rattle, and I wanted to ask who it was, but there was a gasp from outside the door.
I was so shocked that I wanted to say something, but I choked back. Knocking on the door kept on ringing, and I thought that if it was Jang-lin, he would definitely call out my name. If I rashly opened the door, what would I do if it was a bad guy?
When I thought of this, I covered myself with the blanket and ignored the knocking on the door. The knocking continued for about ten minutes, until I started to panic and lose control of my mind.
The next morning, when I woke up early, Lin was sitting in the yard with a cigarette in his hand. When he saw me coming out, he took a deep breath and stepped on it. "Did you hear that last night?"
I stopped and paused. "Ah!" 'Could it be that he knocked on the door last night? '
Zhan Zi Lin passed me a stool from the side. I took the stool and sat opposite him. "There's something strange about this village!" I stared at him with my eyes wide open. I didn't know if he was referring to a knock on the door last night. "Didn't you knock last night?"
Zhan Zi Lin rolled his eyes at me, glanced at Uncle Chen's room, and said in a low voice, "At that time, I was asleep and was woken up by a knock on the door. I thought it was you knocking, but when I heard the sound of your door, I opened the door and took a look. It was a woman, she seemed to have noticed me, immediately turned around and ran out, leaving this thing behind."
Lin took out the handkerchief and threw it to me. I took a look and didn't find anything strange. It was just a handkerchief. The pattern on it was very special, but it was also very pretty. I returned the handkerchief to Lin.
"Hey, Lin, what are you doing?" I pried his hand away, rubbed my arm, and followed him.
"Go find that woman."
I unhappily stopped my steps and shouted at him, "What kind of woman are you looking for? We are here to look for our grandma and Jing Shuo, not a woman."
"But don't you think it's strange that the woman knocked on your door in the middle of the night?"
"It's because of her that she knocked on my door in the middle of the night. That's why it's so strange!" After I finished speaking, I was stunned for a moment. Then I ran over to Jansing and asked him what he meant.
"There must be something strange about this village. We can only rely on ourselves to find Jing Shuo now."
Zhan Zi Lin brought me around the village. There were even fewer people than yesterday. There weren't any women in sight. Zhan Zi Lin seemed to have seen something and before I could react, he suddenly chased after me.
As he ran too fast, I ran in circles and lost sight of him. I held onto the wall with one hand, gasping for breath. I cursed Jang-lin in my heart. He really didn't care about me at all.
I patted my chest as my breathing calmed down. Lowering my head, I saw a figure on the ground. I thought it was Zhan Zirin. With a palm strike to the back of my head, he fell to the ground with a grunt.
When I woke up, I was lying on my back by a clock stand, my neck aching. I sat up and found Jansling at my feet, kicking him lightly.
When I walked up to him and patted his face, Jang-lin opened his eyes in a daze and sat up abruptly, asking where I was. I shrugged and shook my head at him.
When I asked him how he was going to be knocked out, he told me that he had caught sight of a figure, especially a woman he had seen last night, and had gone after it, just as I had done, and had lost it all. He was about to come back and find me, when he was knocked out by a palm behind him, and woke up to see me.
I really don't know what this person wants. What is the meaning of leaving us here? Our current location should be at the back of the village. Even though this clock platform is covered in dust, it seems like no one has ever used it before.
I sat at the edge of the clock stand and watched Jansing walk around. Jang-lin walked up to the steps and covered the back of his head with his hands. "I don't know why he left us here," he said.
I crossed my arms in front of my chest and narrowed my eyes as I looked at Lin. "If you can't figure it out, then don't want to. Have you finished reading?" Let's prepare to go back! "
It was almost noon now, and the scorching sun was really uncomfortable. Jansing sat on the steps and took out his handkerchief from his pocket. After staring at it for a long time, I resisted the urge to go over to him.
However, when he reached the bell, he tripped and sat down under it. Suddenly, his body was suspended in the air and he fell to the ground.
"Aaah!"
