C14 Do You Really Think That I Don't Kill Women?
"I survived..."
Lying softly in Ye Fenng's embrace, she whispered as if awakening from a dream.
He watched the youth's impassive face in silence, momentarily at a loss for words.
"There, there, get some rest."
"I'll take it from here."
Ye Fenng gently stroked her snow-white nose and offered a slight smile.
A paper clone formed and carried the frightened girl to safety.
"Angels... nothing but intimidating scraps of paper."
He sneered at the white wings behind the youth, a shadow of malice crossing his face.
"In the presence of my ghostly prowess, all shall perish!"
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
Ye Fenng watched the massive water dragon lunge at him and smiled without a word.
He repeated his tactic, sending countless tiny paper flowers twirling through the air, completely neutralizing the water dragon's onslaught.
"I had hoped to lead a carefree life, but instead, I'm met with your murderous intent."
"No more pretense; I'm laying my cards on the table."
"The truth is, I've never taken you seriously."
Ye Fenng sighed, the image of a reluctant master forced to reveal his hand.
"Paper Dance: Infinite Sea of Flowers."
As his voice trailed off, a myriad of white paper flowers cascaded from the sky, transforming into relentless slicing machines that surged forward.
Beneath the mesmerizing sea of flowers lay a hidden, lethal threat.
"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique."
Sensing his dwindling Chakra reserves, his expression grew grave.
Yet, faced with such an expansive technique, he had no choice but to employ this defense once more.
"White, run for it."
He commanded in a hushed tone, signaling White to make a quick escape.
Despite his disdain for Ye Fenng's smug demeanor, he was no fool.
Realizing they stood no chance against this adversary, he abandoned any further probing with Ice Release and concentrated solely on their escape plan.
"Hmm? Not in the mood to fight?"
"This puts me in a tough spot. Should I dispatch you and then mutilate the corpse, or should I indulge in a bit of torture before the kill?"
Ye Fenng watched their subtle gestures with a smirk that didn't quite reach his eyes. From the moment they had coerced him into action, their fates were sealed – death was inevitable for them today. And escape? Without the Flying Thunder God or Divine Might, Ye Fenng was at a loss as to how they thought they could slip away from him.
With a resounding "Bang!" the shockwave from the collision of Ye Fenng's sea of flowers and the waterfall began to fade, having effectively canceled each other out. Theoretically, Water Escape should counter Ye Fenng's Paper Escape, but that all depended on the level of skill. If Terumi Mei had been present, Ye Fenng would have retreated without a second thought.
"Ice Escape Secret Technique: Magic Mirror Crystal," Bai whispered.
The Ice Escape transformed into a mirror, materializing out of nowhere and encasing both Ye Fenng and Bai as if in a colossal prison. Bai's eyes, fixed on Ye Fenng suspended in mid-air, shone with a resolute determination to face death.
"Lord Zabuza, you should go," Bai said. "I'll hold them off."
"White..." Zabuza gave him a complex look, then vanished in the blink of an eye. White was merely a tool to him; it was regrettable to lose him, but his own life was clearly more precious.
"Lord Zabuza, farewell," White murmured softly, tears streaming down his face.
"Come on, you two," Ye Fenng said with a hint of impatience. "You're making this all so morose, as if I'm the villain here."
With a mere thought, the clone guarding outside immediately departed to pursue Zabuza. "Enough of this," Ye Fenng muttered. "The game's over."
He regarded White, whose face was etched with the acceptance of his fate within the ice mirror, and spoke with a dismissive tone. The Ice Escape, while a respectable Kekkei Genkai, was woefully undeveloped in White's hands – it was pathetically weak.
"Flowers, scatter."
The paper flowers began to whirl once more, swiftly slicing the ice mirror into fragments. The Ice Escape Secret Technique was nothing but a farce.
"Pfft."
As the secret technique was effortlessly dismantled, White was hit by the backlash, causing him to cough up blood.
Kneeling on the ground, his long hair cascading around him, his eyes were dull and void of light.
"I've done my best, Lord... but it wasn't enough..."
Ye Fenng sighed as he looked closely at the delicate and handsome face, noting the absence of an Adam's apple.
"The mystery that has plagued me for years is finally resolved; White is indeed a woman."
"Beautiful and fiercely loyal."
He mused to himself.
Such a beautiful girl, yet tragically a secondary character who had aligned herself with the wrong person from a young age.
"You've crossed me, and for that, you must die."
"Believe me, the one you failed to kill will soon join you."
A tiny paper flower glided from his fingertips, inching closer under White's silent gaze.
"Thud."
A head fell cleanly to the ground, its blood staining the earth like a gushing spring.
"Even if she was a beautiful girl... what of it?"
"Really? Can it be?"
"Did you actually think I spare women?"
Ye Fenng spoke with a self-mocking tone, his face etched with indifference.
He may have a weakness for beauty, but he wasn't the type to lose his way at the sight of a woman.
Friend or foe, Ye Fenng wouldn't hesitate; those who deserved death would meet their end.
Shortly thereafter.
The paper clone vanished, and the news of Nozama's death followed.
Ye Fenng shook his head, disinterested, and walked away from the battlefield.
Beneath a tree.
"Ms. Kurenai, what did you think? How did I do?"
"Won't you offer me some praise?"
Ye Fenng asked with a cheeky grin.
Ms. Kurenai looked at the boy, who seemed untroubled and was grinning mischievously, and a touch of helplessness flickered in her eyes.
"You're so powerful. Why did you choose to take me as your master in the first place?"
She asked softly.
Ye Fenng had already reached Shadow Level strength at such a young age, yet he had chosen her, a Chunin, as his master.
It was almost laughable.
"Ms. Kurenai, you're well aware of my prowess in genjutsu; you were the one who honed my skills,"
"So what's the issue with me choosing you as my master?"
Ye Fenng gently countered, eager to dispel any misconceptions.
If revealing his true strength meant being alienated, that would be a bitter pill to swallow indeed.
"Ha, when you put it like that, it certainly rings true."
Ms. Kurenai let out a giggle, a mysterious sparkle dancing in her captivating eyes.
"Being a teacher, I truly have no regrets in life."
But is it really just about being a teacher?
...
