C4 Ninja School's Daily Life
Nearly a month had flown by.
Early morning at the Ninja School.
"Fenng, good morning. This is for you,"
"I went out of my way to get you these Pork Bone Noodles from the restaurant."
A cheerful little girl with a blonde ponytail approached with a lively skip in her step.
Her cheeks were faintly flushed, adding to her cuteness.
"Thanks, Ino. You went through a lot of trouble."
Ye Fenng smiled warmly, affectionately ruffling Ino's hair as he expertly accepted the breakfast.
"Not at all, as long as Fenng enjoys it."
Ino looped her arm through Ye Fenng's, beaming as she spoke.
Over time, Ye Fenng had grown fond of the vivacious and adorable Ino.
Though they hadn't made any official announcement, their relationship had gradually deepened.
Nowadays, Ino had taken it upon herself to provide both breakfast and lunch for him.
Ye Fenng was more than happy to accept Ino's generous gestures.
Yet, for some, joy comes with others' sorrow.
Naruto had fallen for Sakura but lacked the courage to pursue her, while Sakura's own advances were coldly rejected by Sasuke.
The love triangle among the protagonists remained as tumultuous as ever.
But thanks to Ye Fenng's influence, Ino and Sakura managed to avoid the conflicts that plagued their original story, remaining close friends.
Meanwhile, Sasuke was consumed with thoughts of catching up to Itachi, single-mindedly focused on gaining strength.
Aside from Itachi, he seemed oblivious to everything else.
If Sakura ever managed to win him over, it would be nothing short of a miracle.
As for Ye Fenng, he had no interest in meddling with the trio's affairs and saw no reason to get involved.
If not for the tidbits of gossip Ino shared, he wouldn't pay these three any mind.
...
"Hey, Hinata, want to join us?"
Upon reaching the classroom, Ye Fenng deliberately chose a seat next to Hinata.
After spending some time reaching out, Ye Fenng had finally gotten Hinata to open up a bit, marking a significant breakthrough.
It was clear that starting young was key.
After all, it wouldn't do if Hinata kept fainting from embarrassment every time she saw him, now would it?
In previous classes, whenever Ye Fenng got a bit too close, Hinata would instantly collapse to the floor.
The scene was like something out of a world-renowned painting.
"No, no need, I've already eaten."
Hinata's tender gaze fleetingly met the young man's before she bashfully lowered her head, her voice barely audible.
If Ye Fenng hadn't been sitting so close, he probably wouldn't have heard her at all.
"Don't be shy, Hinata."
"Ah— open up, I'll feed you."
Ye Fenng grinned cheekily, offering noodles to Hinata's cherry lips with his chopsticks.
The bewildered little girl froze, then, as if possessed, she opened her mouth.
"Fenng... the noodles you've eaten..."
"To feed me by hand..."
"Thump!"
Hinata once again slumped onto the table, her cheeks flushed and steam rising from her face.
"Fenng!"
"Are you giving away the breakfast I made to Hinata again?"
Ino's voice emerged from behind, tinged with a hint of grievance.
Ye Fenng didn't have time to respond before his right cheek was seized by a small hand.
"Fenng, how could you be so fickle,"
"You already have someone, hmph."
Ino said, her lips pursed in discontent and her cheeks puffed out in a huff.
Glancing at Hinata, she couldn't count how many times her heart had flipped with jealousy.
"This..."
Ye Fenng managed a wry smile, offering no further explanation.
Instead, he drew Ino into his arms and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek, under the little girl's panicked gaze.
After a moment.
"Ino, you're the one I like the most."
Ye Fenng gazed earnestly into her blue eyes, his voice softer than ever before.
"Mhm."
Ino murmured, her gaze lost and dreamy.
Wrapped in his embrace, she felt utterly disoriented.
"Please wear your hair down from now on; it's even cuter that way,"
"Do it for me."
Ye Fenng whispered.
As he admired Ino's blue eyes, his fingers gently brushed through her hair.
Before long, another little girl had fainted, her face glowing red.
Ye Fenng: "..."
Let's get back on track.
Ye Fenng had his hands full managing the two little girls recently.
Fortunately, in this world, having multiple spouses is the norm.
Otherwise, Ye Fenng would have been overwhelmed.
But when it comes to the Ninja School's education, Ye Fenng could only call it preposterous.
In essence, unless you're a complete dunce like Naruto, just about any average person could graduate.
Even for a slacker like Ye Fenng, there was no pressure.
He might not breeze through as the top of his class like Sasuke, but passing was a piece of cake.
The environment was no different from an ivory tower.
The curriculum was so simplistic it was almost laughable, with ninjutsu limited to the most basic Clone, Body Replacement, and Substitute Techniques.
Most of the time, students were either engaged in childish play or being indoctrinated with Kunoha's so-called Will of Fire.
But with the system at his disposal, Ye Fenng wasn't in a rush to enhance his abilities.
"Sandaime really let things go to rot."
During physical education, Ye Fenng lay under a tree, daydreaming.
A blade of grass dangled from his lips as he gazed into the sky, lost in thought.
"If I were Orochimaru, I'd probably be eager to send this teacher off as well."
"It's better to meet your end at the hands of a former student than to later bear the brunt of endless scorn should Kunoha fall into crisis."
"With that in mind, Aunt Snake is actually quite kind, haha."
At this thought, Ye Fenng couldn't help but chuckle.
A Genin is essentially cannon fodder in the Ninja Realm.
Yet Kunoha takes until the age of twelve or thirteen to train someone to Genin level.
Aside from the offspring of major clans with their own legacies, who are somewhat competent, most are doomed by this system.
In times of war, children as young as six or seven had the capabilities of a Genin, and those who survived to twelve or thirteen were nearly elite Jonins.
The disparity with the present is stark.
Even the haughty Sasuke, who became conceited after topping his class at the Ninja School, thought he could easily take down Itachi.
He was blissfully unaware that his "number one" status was akin to being the best of the worst.
As the story progressed, it made sense that Sasuke got a reality check through a beating whenever his arrogance got the better of him.
"Sasuke."
"Not having the strength doesn't make you cool; it just makes you a fool," Ye Fenng whispered under his breath, shaking his head.
He had a clear understanding of the pitfalls of trying to outpace others' growth, a lesson learned from countless hours spent playing League of Legends in his past life.
"Time is dragging on."
The young man squinted slightly, his drowsiness intensifying.
Above, white clouds meandered across the sky, while strands of afternoon sunlight filtered through the treetops, casting intricate shadows below.
Off in the distance, Ino and Sakura were playfully tussling, their laughter and gossip-filled banter carrying on the breeze.
Meanwhile, Hinata lingered on the outskirts, her gaze fixed on Ye Fenng from afar.
