C5 Uchiha's Destruction
Time flowed by like water, and before long, a year had slipped away. The day of the Uchiha Clan's annihilation was drawing ever nearer.
"System, what's the mission in the Naruto World? And what's the next world?" Ye Fenng mused, lying on his bed in his modest room. It struck him that he hadn't even inquired about his mission in this world. Indeed, the allure of comfort can distract even heroes.
"The Naruto World has three stages of missions. The current stage includes:
1. Become a Chunin, with a reward of two lottery draws.
2. Learn either the One Thousand Birds or Rasengan, with a reward of two additional lottery draws.
The next world will be Black Bullet."
Ye Fenng took his time to process the system's information, his brow furrowing slightly. Black Bullet, huh? That sounded quite perilous. He wasn't sure what missions awaited him there. But he decided to put that aside for now; after his first transformation, he should be strong enough to ensure his own safety. With a shake of his head, he decided to leave future concerns for later.
The following day at the Ninja School, Ino leaned in and whispered, "Fenng, have you heard? Uchiha Shisui, the genius of the Uchiha Clan, is rumored to have disappeared."
This news had sent shockwaves throughout Kunoha in the past couple of days, and there was a palpable sense of an impending storm.
"Really?" Ye Fenng replied, feigning surprise. He knew that Shisui was more than just missing; he was dead. The thought of the Mangekyō, with its most powerful genjutsu, Distinguished Heavenly Gods, being out of his reach made him sigh with regret.
"What's the matter?" Ino asked, noticing Ye Fenng's disheartened sigh.
"It's just a shame to lose an opponent," Ye Fenng responded, giving a wave of his hand and adopting the air of a forlorn master.
"Get out of here!" Ino scoffed. "You nearly failed the Clone Technique test last time, Fenng. You're not even on my level." She playfully ruffled his hair, well-acquainted with her little boyfriend's penchant for pretense.
"Okay, okay, I was just kidding," Ye Fenng said, straightening his expression.
"Uchiha Shisui doesn't even register on my radar; he's not fit to be my rival."
Ino had thought Ye Fenng was finally taking things seriously and was ready to compliment him.
But to her surprise, he seemed even more unhinged than before.
"Hey, Fenng,"
"Are you sure your head's okay?"
Ye Fenng: "..."
Why does no one believe me when I speak the truth? Why is honesty met with such treatment?
The purity of the human heart is a thing of the past, the world is in decline.
Two days later.
Nighttime.
At the Uchiha residence.
A street nearly filled with corpses, a young man with a detached expression stood before Sasuke.
Dressed in the Anbu uniform of Kunoha, his right hand dripped with blood.
"My foolish little brother..."
"If you want to kill me, then hate me, despise me, and cling to life in your ugliness..."
With Itachi's merciless taunting, Sasuke's eyes dimmed, signaling a shattered spirit and utter despair.
"You're so weak, Sasuke."
Itachi gave one last look at his younger brother before vanishing into the night.
The frigid night fell silent, the numerous dead and their blood forever etched into this night, the Uchiha name stricken from the Ninja Realm.
...
"Yeah, I heard only that kid was saved."
"Didn't that kid have a brother?"
"His brother? His whereabouts are unknown."
"It's hard to believe that such a tragedy could strike the prestigious Uchiha family."
As the two nurses gossiped, Sasuke slowly came to.
His eyes unfocused, he lay there, as still as a coma patient.
Sasuke had inevitably set foot on the path of vengeance.
On the other hand, life was sweet for others.
"Hey, Chouji, cut back a little, will you?"
"My wallet's practically empty."
Watching Chouji's gaping maw devour plate after plate of grilled meat, Shikamaru lamented with a sense of impending doom, feeling as though his wallet was bleeding dry.
No amount of pocket money could sustain such a voracious appetite.
"Come on, loosen up a bit, you miser Shikamaru."
Chouji chuckled mischievously, continuing to gulp down the grilled meat.
Shikamaru's mouth twitched in response.
I really miscalculated when I agreed to pick up the tab this time.
I assumed Chouji, still being young, wouldn't eat much, but looking at him now, it's clear his appetite is anything but human.
It's no surprise, though; everyone from the Akimichi Clan has a voracious appetite.
"Ahh... Fenng, open up."
Ino, her face beaming with a smile, held a piece of grilled meat with her chopsticks.
Her golden hair cascaded down, and her blue eyes seemed to be whispering sweet nothings.
"Mmm."
"This tastes amazing."
Ye Fenng offered his sincere compliment.
Since his rebirth, he had been living modestly, relying on Kunoha's relief funds to get by.
If Ino hadn't suggested it, he would rarely have the chance to enjoy grilled meat.
Reflecting on this, he couldn't help feeling like a bit of a failure as a transmigrator.
With this thought, Ye Fenng found himself appreciating the presence of little Ino even more.
"Ino, you're such a good girl."
Ye Fenng planted a gentle kiss on her tempting cheek, speaking softly.
At this tender moment, Ino's face flushed with shyness, and she quickly snuggled into her boyfriend's embrace, too embarrassed to face their two friends.
It was quite a sight to see the usually brash and sharp-tongued Ino behaving as docile as a princess.
Chouji and Shikamaru were practically in shock.
"Fenng, you've really got a way with her."
Chouji set his plate aside and gave Ye Fenng an approving thumbs up.
"To think you're on the same level as Uchiha Sasuke, and you've got Ino so enchanted."
"Fenng, you're impressive."
Shikamaru nodded in agreement.
Since Ino and Ye Fenng became a couple, the mischief had subsided, making life much easier for him and Chouji.
"Hahaha, let's dig into the meat," Ye Fenng said with a laugh, serving up two more pieces of grilled meat onto their plates.
"That's right, it's my treat today, so everyone enjoy yourselves."
Shikamaru replied with a grin.
He had a favorable opinion of Fenng.
Though Fenng could be a bit enigmatic, he was genuinely caring towards Ino.
And that was all that really mattered.
......
Later that evening.
After the meal, Ye Fenng walked Ino home before heading back to his own place.
The streets were abuzz with the scandal of Uchiha Itachi's defection and the slaughter of his entire clan.
"The Sandaime has truly aged," they said.
"A once formidable force in the Ninja Realm, now merely a shadow of himself, decayed by the grip of power."
Ye Fenng wore a mischievous grin as he spoke to himself.
On the night Yondaime sealed the Nine-Tails and met his end, not a single member of Kunoha's Root division stirred. When Orochimaru defected, the Third Generation, out of old loyalties, deliberately turned a blind eye. The village's elite deliberately ostracized the Uchiha, pushing them towards rebellion, and the Sandaime seemed to turn a deaf ear to it all.
Considering the subsequent death of Shisui, the plot to annihilate the Uchiha Clan, and the various injustices faced by Naruto...
To say that the elder of the Third Generation didn't indulge and protect these dark acts would be a tale only a ghost might entertain.
Kunoha? The foremost village in the Ninja Realm?
Nothing but a farce.
