C8 It Smelled so Good and Soft!
After what felt like an eternity, the funeral finally came to a close amidst the silence.
The attendees gradually dispersed.
On their way out, Ye Fenng approached two elder sisters.
"Hello, Ms. Kurenai."
Ye Fenng greeted her with a warm smile and a gentle voice.
His fair skin, sunny smile, and deep blue eyes, tranquil as a windless lake, could make even girls envious.
The Beautiful Youth's enchanting appearance instantly lifted the gloom from the sisters' hearts.
They were smitten in the blink of an eye.
"Wow, what a cute little brother."
Anko, taken aback by his charm, impulsively hugged Ye Fenng.
His smile stiffened, and a few lines of exasperation creased his forehead.
"Anko!"
"Don't frighten him."
Yūhi Kurenai chuckled with resignation and quickly extricated Ye Fenng from Anko's embrace, pulling him to one side.
Ye Fenng cast a wistful glance back before turning to face them.
"Little brother, what's your name? How do you know me?"
Anko asked with a grin, playfully stroking Ye Fenng's soft hair, clearly intrigued.
What a wonderful touch... When did such a stunning Beautiful Youth appear in our village?
The students of today are truly fortunate.
"Ms. Kurenai, my name is Uesugi Fenng,"
"I've heard from the villagers about your impressive genjutsu, and I would like to become your apprentice."
Ye Fenng spoke earnestly.
His innocent expression and unmatched acting made it impossible for Yūhi Kurenai to refuse.
"But, I'm just a Chunin,"
"I might not be as excellent as you expect."
Kurenai hesitated, voicing her concern.
She seemed worried about potentially holding back the young man's future.
"What?"
"Hey, if you don't want him, I'll gladly take this apprentice off your hands."
Anko interjected with a hint of mischief, eyeing Ye Fenng as if he were a delectable treat.
"No, I want Ms. Kurenai."
Ye Fenng quickly objected, shaking his head emphatically.
Falling into Anko's clutches... well, that might not be so bad, right?
But since he came for Kurenai, Ye Fenng preferred not to complicate matters.
"Tch!"
Anko sulked, puffing up her cheeks and rolling her amber eyes before turning away in a huff.
Reluctantly, she held back any further comments.
"Alright, I agree to be your teacher," Ms. Kurenai declared.
"But you must diligently train if you're going to follow me."
Soon after, Yūhi Kurenai spoke to Ye Fenng with a heartfelt tone.
Her delicate hands softly brushed the Beautiful Youth's cheek, a look of contentment on her face.
"Alright, Ms. Kurenai."
Ye Fenng responded with a joyful smile.
Having arranged their weekend training sessions, they quickly parted ways.
Anko, however, wore a peculiar expression as she invited Ye Fenng to join her for dessert.
"Sigh, did I really underestimate this body's allure?" Ye Fenng wondered, caught between amusement and disbelief.
Recalling Anko's predatory gaze and Kurenai's utmost tenderness, he was torn between gratitude and melancholy.
'Well, living off someone's generosity is a talent in its own right,' Ye Fenng reassured himself.
...
A week flew by.
By now, the entire Ninja Realm was abuzz with the "fireworks" incident caused by Ye Fenng. Yet, the Kunoha had no leads on the perpetrator.
The once esteemed reputation of the foremost village faced widespread skepticism.
The factions, long at peace, were now stirring with anticipation.
But that's all it was—for the moment—anticipation.
At the Ninja School, in the classroom:
"Fenng, your hair is really nice," Ino complimented, sitting next to Ye Fenng and playfully twirling his hair with a smile.
"What can I say? I was born this way," Ye Fenng replied with a wry smile, spreading his hands in a gesture of resignation.
"Hehe, if you marry me someday, I'll style your hair every day," Ino teased, her grin widening.
"Marry you? Can we fast-track to the honeymoon?" Ye Fenng retorted with a mischievous tone.
Understanding his suggestive remark, Ino's cheeks turned crimson, and she playfully punched him.
"Oh, feeling shy?" Ye Fenng chuckled, dodging her punches while playfully mocking her flustered state.
Seeing Ino blush was indeed a rare sight.
Later that afternoon, they had another date planned.
Snack Street.
"Hinata, we've arrived."
Ye Fenng, holding Ino's hand, located Hinata at a street corner.
At Ye Fenng's suggestion, the young princess of the Hyuga family had grown her hair out. It cascaded down to her waist, lending her an air of exceptional grace and beauty.
"Fenng, Fenng."
Hinata's cheeks turned a delightful shade of pink as Ye Fenng held her hand, but thankfully, she managed not to faint right there on the street.
Clearly, her years of training had been fruitful.
The trio, consisting of one man and two women, occasionally drew curious glances from passersby.
"These young people are just bursting with vitality."
"I remember when I was their age..."
"I'm so old now, I don't even react to seeing couples anymore."
"Alas, my youth is over."
"..."
At the restaurant.
In the private room.
The three sat close together, with Ino snuggled up on Ye Fenng's left and Hinata on his right.
"Ah, open up."
Ye Fenng held a piece of cake, tenderly stroking Ino's head as she opened her mouth.
"Mmm."
Ino leaned comfortably against Ye Fenng's shoulder, her eyebrows arching slightly.
"What a good girl."
Stroking the little girl's soft golden locks, Ye Fenng let out a gentle chuckle.
"Fenng, may I ask you something?"
Hinata suddenly leaned in, whispering in his ear.
"Go ahead."
Ye Fenng affectionately tousled Hinata's hair.
"The strength of your Chakra has increased so much recently, it startled me at first."
"Is everything okay?"
Listening to Hinata's words, filled with concern, Ye Fenng's smile grew warmer, a gentle warmth blooming in his heart.
"I'm perfectly fine, it's just a few little secrets,"
"I'll definitely share them with Hinata eventually."
"I trust you, Fenng."
Hinata spoke with conviction, her adorable Byakugan eyes captivating.
Ye Fenng couldn't resist planting a soft kiss on Hinata's lovely cheek, causing the little girl to flush with a rosy blush.
