Luck, of course, played its part.
For the wealthy, the novice period was less critical. Even without rewards, they could invest money to swiftly develop a respectable territory.
Some affluent offspring might even intentionally fail the trial on day one, shattering their Lord Crystal to bring their Overlord Space to the Lord Continent sooner, leveraging their family's resources for development.
Such was the gap between the haves and the have-nots.
Zhou Yan, educated on these matters, was well aware of what to bring with him into his territory.
Once prepared, he communicated with the Overlord Space and stepped through.
He found himself in a new realm—a flat expanse of about 100 square meters with a banda in the center. Outside the banda shone the radiant Lord Crystal, the heart of his territory.

Before him, several points of light materialized: a barracks, an altar, and novice equipment—standard issue for a new Overlord.
The barracks were for summoning troops, while the altar was a marvel, allowing the summoning of a variety of items, heroes, and creatures in exchange for spirit coins.
Zhou Yan erected both a barracks and an altar.
As two announcements echoed, he stepped outside to see two new structures.

Just then, another prompt caught Zhou Yan's attention.

Excitement surged through him at the mention of the colorful Overlord Space. It had appeared spontaneously, and he was eager to discover its capabilities.
Zhou Yan didn't hesitate for a second. "Activate!"
"The Assistant Overlord Space is now activating."
"Activation successful. Evolving the Overlord Space is underway."
All at once, the Overlord Space burst into a kaleidoscope of colors, and the buildings before him began to transform.
"Evolution complete. The Lord Crystal has evolved into the King Crystal."
"Evolution complete. The banda has transformed into the Spirit Vein Bamboo House."
"Evolution complete. The barracks have been upgraded to the Bronze Bird Terrace."
"Evolution complete. The altar has become the mysterious store."

The Assistant Overlord Space had managed to evolve the entire Overlord Space.
