C1 Xu feng

Qing He Town, this was a beautiful place. Before it was a clear river, behind it was a desolate mountain, and the scenery was pleasant.

Xu Feng was the son of a hunter in Qing He Town. He was tall and thin, and his family wasn't well off, making him unable to provide good nutrition.

His mother made some delicious dishes for him. In the morning, Xu Feng went to his father's room.

"Little Feng, take the bow. Do you want to go up the mountain?" Xu Dashan saw his son holding onto a big bow and asked curiously. Before this, he had never allowed Xu Feng to go up the mountain.

"Yes, father, today I am 15 years old. I am already an adult in Qinghe Town. I want to go up the mountain and try my luck!" Xu Feng raised his bow and said while laughing.

"This... "Not so good. The wilderness is very dangerous. I can't rest at ease if you go up the mountain by yourself!" Xu Dashan hesitated and felt that this was not a good idea.

"Don't worry, I have great archery skills. Father has seen it before, are you worried that I will be eaten by wild beasts?" Xu Feng said.

Xu Dashan laughed, he was the brightest archer in the town, every year when he hunts, he would reap the best rewards in the town. Usually, when he was at home, he would teach his son how to shoot, making his shooting skills the best amongst his peers. Hearing his words, Xu Dashan knew that it was impossible to stop him.

After all, he was proud of his son's shooting.

"Father, I'll go now." Seeing that his father had accepted, Xu Feng went out the door happily.

Xu Dashan originally wanted to say that he should be more careful outside, come back early, and the like, but his son had already walked far away, so he did not say anything more.

Xu Feng stepped onto the Wild Mountain.

He walked quickly, bouncing up and down the mountain. This was his first time going up on his own, so he was very interested. He felt that it was really fun to go up the mountain, especially when there was no one around to look after him.

Xu Feng was an ambitious person and did not like being controlled by others.

His biggest dream was not to study. He felt that the scholars who read were not reliable at all; naturally, he was not hunting. Qing He Town was so big; if he really wanted to stay here for a lifetime, he felt that he would go crazy.

Xu Feng's dream was to become an immortal.

Since ancient times, there had been legends regarding immortals. Many people had said that as long as they were immortals, they could fly and hunt spirit beasts. They were incomparably powerful.

Xu Feng liked to become more powerful, and wanted to join a sect that cultivates immortality.

However, he had no choice. The cultivation sects nearby wouldn't easily accept disciples. Those with low aptitudes wouldn't take them.

Previously, his father didn't allow him to go anywhere, but because he was afraid of being bullied, he said that there were righteous people outside, but there were also demonic people outside who could easily be killed by the Devil Dao.

Now that he had become an adult, Xu Feng felt that as long as he proved that he was capable enough to hunt ferocious beasts, his father would definitely be relieved and go out to look for a cultivation sect.

For his dream, Xu Feng moved excitedly.

After climbing up the mountain, he came to a dense forest. He looked at the ground and realized that there were a lot of fallen leaves here, but there were also quite a few footprints on the leaves.

"Well, we can set up a trap and let the beast fall into it. Then, we can kill it with an arrow!" Xu Feng thought in his heart.

He had been trained by his father, and although he was young, Xu Feng had a very good understanding of everything. There were a lot of types of traps, but Xu Feng liked them the most. However, when he dug a hole in the ground, he made a hole and covered it up.

He took out the shovel he brought with him and placed it on a piece of moist ground. He then started to dig a deep hole and cover himself with some branches.

Xu Feng was very careful when he did all these. He knew that it was the key to catch the beasts, and also the key to find a chance to go out and join a cultivation sect.

As long as he was able to complete this step, his father would definitely be willing to allow him to leave once the wild beasts were successfully hunted. As for his mother … I've always listened to my father.

After the trap was set, Xu Feng remembered his father's words: Don't stay too close to the trap. Firstly, it's not safe, and secondly, it's easy to be discovered by sensitive wild beasts. This was a huge tree, and after going up, he would be able to hide his body.

After Xu Feng went up, he hid himself and looked at the trap quietly, not moving an inch. When he was younger, his father had taught him how to shoot arrows, and he could always practice it non-stop. For Xu Feng Jr., patience was the most important thing.

A pure white rabbit came over and cautiously walked to the side of the trap. It first used one foot to step on it, then it turned back and left.

Xu Feng felt that it was a pity, but then he thought, it was just a rabbit, it was not some valuable beast, not being able to catch it would be good.

However, there were no wild beasts that came. It seemed that the wild beasts had abandoned this place to play.

Xu Feng was still waiting. He knew that no matter what he did, he wouldn't be able to do it in a hurry. The best course of action would be to wait patiently.

He waited and waited until noon. When the sun shone down from above his head, the scorching air caused his entire body to emit a lot of broth. He discovered that his body was starting to stink, but he still endured it, drank a few mouthfuls of water, and ate some dried food.

Suddenly, he noticed that something wasn't right. A tall black ape was walking towards him.

Xu Feng was ecstatic, he held his breath and looked down.

The black ape slowly walked over, completely unaware that there was someone beside it. Suddenly, it stomped on the ground, causing its foot to miss. Then, its entire body fell towards the ground. It was panicking but it fell even faster.

Xu Feng thought, it was a good chance, so he quickly climbed down the tree trunk and ran to the side of the trap. He saw that the Black Ape was struggling, and wanted to escape from the trap. Its body was at least two meters tall. Luckily the trap had dug deep enough, otherwise, it would have escaped long ago.

Whoosh, Xu Feng drew his bow and shot an arrow.

Very quickly, an arrow whizzed towards the neck of the Black Ape. The neck was a place where any wild beast was weak, Xu Feng had once heard his father instructing him before.

The black ape became flustered when it saw the arrow approaching. However, it quickly dodged to the side. The arrow immediately missed and hit the ground.

Xu Feng exclaimed. He was shocked by the Black Ape's nimbleness, but from above, the arrows continued to shoot downwards like a tide. The black ape was in a narrow space as it dodged past the first few. In the end, it was still unable to dodge the last few arrows and was shot in the neck. It was then shot several times in the heart before its head tilted and it died.

Xu Feng laughed happily. This was his first time hunting wild beasts, and it was perfect.

However, after he smiled, Xu Feng realized that there was a problem. The Black Ape was huge, could he really not move it at all? What should he do? Xu Feng asked himself, but he very quickly found an easy job. Since he couldn't move it away, then he would just break it down and bring some important parts back, wouldn't that be enough?

Xu Feng followed the rope and went down to the trap, holding onto the dagger as he dug towards the Black Ape's chest. He intended to bring along the heart and legs of the black ape, as well as the other parts of his body.

The knife looked very small, but it was extremely sharp. When he was ten years old, his father hired a blacksmith from the town to beat it up. It was the sharpest knife.

He fully believed that the chest of the Black Ape would surely split open after a single slash, but things were always unexpected.

With a clang, the small knife struck something and bounced off. The body of the black ape was also unharmed.

Xu Feng was extremely surprised. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that there was a small compass in front of the black ape's chest. It was the compass protecting the black ape.

He carefully took out the compass and placed it in his hand. He looked at it again and again and found that it looked good, so he put it away. His intuition told him that the compass was a treasure and that he mustn't lose it.

Subsequently, he broke the black ape down and brought along the items he needed as he walked home. Carrying his heavy legs, he had walked extremely arduously, but in his heart, he was incomparably happy. Finally, with his own strength, he was able to kill a wild beast.

When he got home, his mother came out first, complaining that he hadn't come back early to eat.

Xu Feng chuckled, then took the Black Ape's legs and passed it over.

Shocked, the mother called her father out to let him see what her son had accomplished today.

When his father came out, he was immediately flabbergasted when he saw the black ape's legs. He asked Xu Feng if he had hunted them himself.

Xu Feng nodded his head seriously, he said, of course, who else could it be?

His father, Xu Dashan, was extremely happy and immediately said that his son was a good man. In the future, he would definitely be a good hunter and perform so well when he was young.

When Xu Feng heard it, he took the opportunity to tell his father that he wanted to go out and experience the world. However, he did not say that he was going to look for a cultivation sect. For his parents, this kind of thing was very puzzling.

Hearing his words, Xu Dashan was speechless, as if he was thinking about something, and his eyebrows knitted tightly.

His mother, on the other hand, rejected his suggestion. She said that she was a child and that she was only fifteen years old. If she left, it would be too dangerous.

Xu Feng anxiously argued that since he was only fifteen years old, he could already be considered an adult in Qing He Village.

His mother was surprised, she never thought that her son would be able to say such a thing. She then looked at Xu Dashan, asking him for help to persuade her son.

Xu Dashan stared at Xu Feng for a long time, seeing his determination, without any signs of retreating, he nodded his head and said yes, but before going out, he needed to agree to a condition.

When Xu Feng heard that his father had already agreed to it, he was extremely happy. Forget about one condition, even if it were a hundred conditions or a thousand conditions, he would still agree.
