C28 Taiqing Sword Manual: Teach Your Little Brother.

He returned to his practice of the Taiqing Sword Technique from the Taiqing Sword Manual, a series of twelve forms. The initial form, Roaming Dragon, when paired with the Shadowless Step, yielded formidable combat prowess. The majority of the previous batch of puppets had fallen to this very move. The final form, Divine Sense Condensed Sword, could conjure over a hundred sword shadows, each with lethal force.

As Jiang Su's movements and swordplay fluidly evolved, a dense sword energy began to emanate from his brow. Now an Original Sword Body, achieving the pinnacle of Sword Tao, Great Completion, was just a matter of time.

By the time he completed the twelve forms of the Taiqing Sword Technique, the afternoon had settled in. Wang Tian had been spectating, clapping, and occasionally cheering throughout the session, thoroughly convinced of Jiang's genius.

Being a Body Cultivator, Wang Tian was unfamiliar with the intricacies of sword techniques. Yet, he could discern the potent sword energy and the visible marks left by the sword's passage through the air.

Jiang Su, wielding his three-foot green sword, had an almost celestial presence, as if the very sunlight paled in comparison to his radiance. The sword energy seemed to manifest effortlessly around the striking young man.

"Original Sword Body, Innate Sword Spell," he mused. "The Taiqing Sword Technique is my gateway to the Dao."

After wiping the sweat from his brow, Jiang Su turned to Wang Tian, who was idly cracking melon seeds, and frowned. "Let's train together. And where did you get those melon seeds?"

"Jiang, I can't wield a sword; I'm a Body Cultivator," Wang Tian replied. In the Cultivation World, Body Cultivators were often looked down upon. While high-rank practitioners fared better, those of lower rank like Wang Tian lacked guidance. They were relegated to menial roles as low-level cultivators, cooks, or guards for wealthy households.

Content with his lot, simply being in Jiang's proximity was a boon for Wang Tian. He didn't dare hope for more. With a self-conscious scratch of his head, he added, "You just focus on your cultivation, Jiang. I'm here to assist you and keep company by your side."

To Wang Tian's surprise, Jiang fixed a serious gaze on him for several seconds before asking, "Wang Tian, are you content with being just a Low Rank Body Cultivator?"

It was the first time Jiang had ever called his name with such gravity.

The desire to rise as a high-level Body Cultivator burned within him. He yearned for the respect and admiration of others, and he dreamed of marrying a good wife.

"I am not content!" Wang Tian declared, rising from the staircase with a resolute expression and a fiery determination in his eyes.

He was ready to defy his fate! He refused to be scorned, even in the kitchen, and he was tired of being commanded, beaten, and humiliated.

"Come here and place your hands before me," Jiang instructed.

Jiang Su, who was practically a Medical Cultivator after mastering the art of Miracle Working, had already noticed that Wang Tian's meridians were much like his own.

They were not like those of ordinary cultivators.

Typical cultivators had narrow meridians, requiring only a minimal amount of spiritual energy to activate their Dantian and spirit veins. Theirs, however, were exceptionally broad, demanding several times more spiritual energy for cultivation, especially in Jiang Su's case.

Jiang Su possessed a Celestial Spiritual Root, necessitating an immense influx of spiritual energy.

Wang Tian complied and extended his hand to Jiang Su, who probed his wrist, ostensibly to take his pulse. But in truth, Jiang Su was assessing Wang Tian's spiritual roots.

No one had ever bothered to test the spiritual roots of a Cook Disciple.

In the Fantasy World, the spiritual root was the bedrock, with spiritual energy as the lifeblood.

The grades of spiritual roots ranged from Single to Quinary.

Only those with a Single Spiritual Root could join the ranks of Inner Sect disciples in the esteemed Immortal Sects, and today, Jiang Su was also due for a spiritual root assessment.

Perhaps his future wife had already made her appearance earlier that day.

Suddenly, Jiang Su's lips curled into a slight smile. Wang Tian felt a twinge of anxiety at the sight—could Jiang Su's spiritual root be subpar?

He had been an orphan from a young age, accidentally stumbling into the mountains and taken in by an old cook from the Devil Sect. But the old cook had never tested his spiritual root, leaving him in the dark about his own potential.

It could be a Quinary Spiritual Root.

Jiang Su released Wang Tian's hand with a chuckle.

"Do you realize you're a Single Spiritual Root?"

The question hit Wang Tian like a thunderclap, leaving him utterly dumbfounded.

Suddenly, it was as though fireworks were exploding in Wang Tian's heart. The somewhat chubby teenager stood in the courtyard, absorbing the most joyous news of his life.

Single Spiritual Root Body Cultivators were exceedingly rare.

Nearly all Body Cultivators with a Single Spiritual Root in the Cultivation World had reached the esteemed Nascent Infant Stage.

If these Nascent Infant Stage Experts discovered that the First Devil Sect had a Single Spiritual Root youth among them, they would likely go to great lengths to have the sect's No.1 kitchen release him.

Wang Tian was so moved he was on the verge of tears: "Jiang, you're truly amazing!"

Jiang Su felt a genuine surge of happiness seeing his brother's impressive potential. True brothers always hope for the best for one another.

"So now you know you're a Single Spiritual Root. When do you plan to seek out a master from another sect?"

Wang Tian grew anxious: "No, I want to stay with the First Devil Sect."

Jiang Su's brow furrowed: "None of the First Devil Sect's four elders are Body Cultivators; they wouldn't be the right fit for you."

"But I want to stay with you. Besides, there's no one else in the Cultivation World who cares about me the way you do."

No sooner had he spoken than Jiang Su sensed a shift in the atmosphere of Sword Wing Peak. Three spirit breaths were present.

They belonged to his master, Elder Chiu Yue, and Elder Wuyou. And there was a subtle yet powerful spirit breath, brimming with sword energy and the presence of a high-ranking being—it was the Empress of Devil Sect, his wife.

Jiang Su's body tensed for a moment but quickly recovered.

Wang Tian, with his lower cultivation level and sluggish senses, failed to notice the arrival of these three significant figures.

Upon reaching Sword Wing Peak, Elder Chiu Yue saw Jiang Su and Wang Tian deep in conversation in the courtyard and called out, "Disciple, come and pay your respects to the Empress."

Turning, Jiang Su laid eyes on Murong Yan.

Today, she was adorned differently, in a white muslin gown with a Flowing Cloud Belt cinched at her waist. Her regal features were bathed in sunlight, giving her a radiant glow. She, too, was looking his way.

What was he to do? He had impersonated someone else and was caught red-handed by his wife.

Murong Yan allowed herself a slight, measured smile before pausing, watching as Jiang Su's composure visibly faltered. She then spoke, "So, you are Chiu Yue's newest Head Disciple, Jiang Hee?"

"Yes, Empress."

Jiang Su let out a stealthy sigh of relief. Whatever the reason, as long as his wife didn't reveal his true identity, all was well.

As Jiang Su paid his respects, Su Wuyou scrutinized him from head to toe. It was astonishing that her senior brother had managed to discover a prodigy like Jiang Su. But why did she sense something odd in the Empress's gaze when she looked at Jiang Su?

Was she reading too much into it? After all, the Empress was wed to the Prince of Tianqi.

Surely, the storied Jiang Su would be even more striking in person.

Meanwhile, Wang Tian was utterly captivated. This was the Empress of the Devil Sect?

How could she exude such grace and nobility, like the most exquisite flower in existence!

The one worthy of such a prize must be a formidable being indeed!

It must be because the Prince of Tianqi, Jiang Su, had saved the Milky Way in his past life that he was destined to marry the Empress of the Devil Sect in this one!
