C76 Brother, Farewell, Pick the Talented Ones.

As a Body Cultivator, Wang Tian knew that staying here could lead to a breakthrough in his realm. However, if his progress came at the expense of Jiang Su's time and energy, he would prefer to leave. Wang Tian firmly believed that with Jiang Su's dedication to his practice, he was destined to become the most powerful figure in the entire Cultivation World, standing at its very summit.

Wang Tian started his ascent, feeling inexplicably full of vigor.

Jiang Su, hovering on his Life Sword, watched Wang Tian's persistent climb and breathed a sigh of relief. This time, Wang Tian was different; he had activated every spirit vein in his body. The climb itself had catalyzed his complete Body Forging transformation.

The climb was surprisingly smooth, and before long, Wang Tian reached the summit of Dangerless Peak. Standing at the top, he was in awe, half-convinced he was dreaming. It wasn't until he saw Jiang Su, in flowing white robes, standing on the Life Sword that he accepted the reality. Overjoyed, he yelled, "Jiang, Jiang, I've done it!"

Jiang Su couldn't help but smile, understanding that Wang Tian had pushed himself to the limit to show his progress before their impending farewell.

The following three days unfolded quietly, with no new signing-in missions from the system. Jiang Su continued to pore over the tomes given to him by Wen Shu, Elder Chiu Yue, and the books from the sackcloth bag Murong Yun had provided. The wealth of knowledge seemed inexhaustible.

At times, Jiang Su would grumble to himself, "Transmigrating here is one thing, but being forced to read day in and day out is another."

He had sought out Murong Yun, only to discover that he had already returned to the Devil Palace. So, Jiang Su stopped seeking him out.

On the day the ten great Devil Sects were recruiting new disciples, Wang Tian's insistent knocking roused Jiang Su from sleep.

The knocks were so loud that Jiang Su was jolted awake. Resigned, he dressed and opened the door to find, as expected, Wang Tian standing there.

"Jiang, I've finally mastered the Divine Body Forging Spell!" Wang Tian exclaimed, his face glowing with excitement as he shared his achievement with a groggy Jiang Su.

Jiang Su grumbled, "Waking someone from a good dream this early is just plain wrong."

As Wang Tian pondered a response, Jiang Su slung an arm around his shoulder, saying, "Wang Tian, you have a bright future ahead."

Hearing this, Wang Tian realized Jiang Su had noticed the small piece of luggage behind him. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes—he was on the verge of breaking down. Jiang Su had never before addressed him with such gravity; this was the first and only time, and now they were on the brink of parting.

The tears made a circuit around Wang Tian's eyes before they inevitably fell.

"There's no feast that doesn't come to an end," Jiang Su sighed. "But remember, we'll never truly part. I'll drop by the Shadowless Sect to see you whenever I can."

"I'll do the same. Whenever I get the chance, I'll come looking for you, Jiang," Wang Tian replied.

They embraced, and Wang Tian rested his head on Jiang Su's shoulder, sniffling.

Moved by the moment, Jiang Su suddenly quipped, "Try not to get my clothes wet. They're quite expensive."

Indeed, the white silk garment Jiang Su wore was costly, a gift from his wife prepared in their room.

"Jiang, I'm so exhausted. I can't even cry anymore," Wang Tian confessed.

"Enough tears. You're acting like a girl," Jiang Su chided gently.

Without a word of protest, Wang Tian picked up his luggage from behind and waved goodbye to Jiang Su, who returned the gesture with a smile. Wang Tian then made his way to Elder Chiu Yue, who had been patiently waiting in the courtyard.

Elder Chiu Yue had a busy day ahead. Not only was he tasked with escorting Wang Tian to the Shadowless Sect and introducing him to his new master, Yang Shuang, but he was also overseeing the sect's recruitment event.

Jiang Su remained on the staircase of the left-side house, watching the retreating figures of Wang Tian and Elder Chiu Yue. Despite the morning sun's rise, a sense of loss washed over him.

Wang Tian glanced back repeatedly, his gaze lingering on Sword Wing Peak, his eyes brimming with fondness and reluctance to leave.

The sunlight cast its rays onto the left side of Sword Wing Peak, highlighting a conspicuous spot on the bookshelf—a finely crafted box, left open to reveal a pristine white handkerchief within.

That evening, Jiang Su was in a state of panic. It was a level of anxiety he had never experienced before, as he discovered that the pure white handkerchief his wife had given him was missing. He was certain he had left it on his desk, but it was nowhere to be found despite his frantic search.

It wasn't until he noticed the handkerchief, spotless and devoid of any bloodstains, lying there that he had an epiphany—Wang Tian had washed it for him. He realized he hadn't even expressed his gratitude to Wang Tian yet.

Back when he first entered this strange Fantasy World, his wife had little respect for him. Wang Tian was the first friend he made, someone who brought joy into his life and showered him with compliments. Jiang Su was deeply appreciative of Wang Tian's friendship.

Alone on Sword Wing Peak, Jiang Su remembered the task assigned to him by the system. He was to assist the four elders of the First Devil Sect in selecting exceptionally gifted disciples.

He decided to select one disciple for each elder.

On that particular day, with no restrictions on the use of the Heavenly Eye, Jiang Su observed the potential of numerous Devil Sect disciples on his way to the sect's entrance. The female Outer Sect disciples, in particular, caught his attention as they clustered around him.

"Eldest Senior Brother just glanced at me! The Devil Sect is recruiting new members today. Is he going to be there?" one of the female disciples wondered aloud. She possessed a Triple Spiritual Root and seven spirit veins, was a Sword Cultivator, and had reached the Qi Sensing Stage.

"Eldest Senior Brother is so handsome. When can I visit Sword Wing Peak? I'm dying to see Eldest Senior Brother!" another female disciple sighed. She had a Double Spiritual Root and nine spirit veins, was a Talisman Cultivator at the Qi Sensing Stage, and suffered from a waist injury.

Jiang Su took the opportunity to hone his Heavenly Eye by observing them.

He had grown accustomed to their adoration. He firmly believed their infatuation stemmed from the First Devil Sect's isolation. Among the disciples taken in by the four elders, he was around the same age as these young women. Furthermore, he had transformed his destiny through sheer determination, rising from a chef to a person of significance, which only fueled the girls' fascination with him.

After all, among Su Wuyou's disciples, there was only one male, and he was just a boy. Lin Tian hadn't taken on any disciples, and Bai Yi, with his less than appealing looks, surely didn't have any handsome disciples either.

He didn't believe that these female disciples were drawn to him solely for his looks.

In this fantasy realm, only one's level of cultivation and status truly mattered.

As it goes in novels, the mightier the protagonist, the more admirers they attract, regardless of their physical appearance.

For a man, looks aren't essential.

"Have you forgotten the lesson the Great Elder imparted last time? Today's the day we recruit newcomers, and the Cultivation Hall has already laid out your duties. What exactly are you up to now?"

A corpulent middle-aged man with a scar marking his face approached, berating the cluster of female cultivators.

Yet, upon reaching Jiang Su, who stood encircled at the center, his demeanor shifted instantly.

His smile was ingratiating.

"Eldest Senior Brother, are you interested in observing the Devil Sect's initiation of new members? Allow me to escort you."

Jiang Su remained stoic. He had no fondness for such individuals.

These were the type who preyed on the vulnerable and cowered before the strong, the type who could turn on him without a moment's notice.
