C86 The Three Junior Brothers Are All Idiots.

"No!" Elder Chiu Yue slammed his hand down on the armrest with such force that when he lifted it, his palm was already reddened.

Su Wuyou chimed in, "You can't go."

After a brief pause, she added, "You possess the rare Thunder Spiritual Root in the Cultivation World. We can't afford to lose you if something were to happen."

Lin Tian gave Jiang Su a stern look, clearly opposing the idea of Jiang Su going on a rescue mission.

Jiang Su remained silent, yet his gaze was resolute as he locked eyes with Elder Chiu Yue.

He was determined to go.

The system had tasked him with saving these three individuals, marking them as the focus of Jiang Su's mission.

Elder Chiu Yue averted his gaze, overwhelmed by the intensity of Jiang Su's stare, and he wasn't the only one; Su Wuyou and Lin Tian were also taken aback.

Jiang Su was usually composed, seldom showing his emotions.

Su Wuyou mused that had Jiang Su looked at her with such intensity from the start, she might have acted just as the Female Ruler did.

"I disagree. You're merely in the Mid Period of Foundation Stage. It's too dangerous for you to enter," Elder Chiu Yue contended, fully aware of Jiang Su's potential but unwilling to risk his safety.

To Elder Chiu Yue, Jiang Su was paramount, regardless of whether others perceived him as selfish or callous. Even if one of the three in question could become his disciple, they paled in comparison to Jiang Su's significance.

"Master," Jiang Su implored, "Martial Uncle Lin Tian mentioned that not all who enter the Myriad Origin Secret Realm are immediately transported to the Hidden Space. I'd like to at least attempt it."

Elder Chiu Yue remained silent, offering no response.

Bai Yih could barely contain his glee. To him, Jiang Su was foolishly courting death by volunteering. He had to devise a plan to assist Jiang Su in entering the realm.

With a forceful slap on his chair, he addressed Yang Tian in a commanding tone, "As the Second Senior Brother, why aren't you offering to go and protect your future junior brothers and sisters?"

Shaken, Yang Tian approached and knelt before the four Great Elders, declaring with gravity, "I am prepared to venture into the Myriad Origin Secret Realm."

Upon witnessing Yang Tian's kneel, Elder Chiu Yue's face turned stormy in an instant. Was Bai Yih orchestrating this?

Trouble had struck the Devil Sect. It would make no sense for the Eldest Senior Brother to stay behind if the Second Senior Brother had already departed.

Bai Yih seemed intent on having Yang Tian and Jiang Su enter together.

"Very well," Elder Chiu Yue's voice carried an edge that sent a shiver down one's spine. He rose from his seat and declared firmly, "Issue my command. All Devil Sect disciples from the Foundation Stage to the Golden Core Stage are to enter the Myriad Origin Secret Realm!"

The crowd swiftly bowed their heads, springing into action upon hearing the decree. They set about rounding up the eligible disciples, while Elder Lin Tian would oversee their transport into the Myriad Origin Secret Realm.

Jiang Su was aware he might not gain direct access to the Hidden Space, but he had his system to rely on.

Shangguan Yue asked with a grave tone, "Do you truly intend to venture into the Hidden Space to rescue those three young men?"

Jiang Su nodded affirmatively. They were his mission, and he was bound to undertake it.

A shadow passed over Elder Chiu Yue's features.

He harbored hopes that his disciple would be fortunate enough not to have ventured into that Hidden Space.

Through the Water Mirror's reflection, the plight of the three youths trapped within was clear. Their predicament was dire; unable to leave the Hidden Space and surrounded by its oddities, they felt death might be preferable to their entrapment.

Lee Shiyan was deeply troubled. He jabbed Xi Junrong's shoulder and queried, "You're in the Body Forging Stage, aren't you? With nothing to eat here, won't you perish?"

Withdrawing his finger, he furrowed his brow, his expression one of pained reluctance.

Murong Qi, standing at the forefront, had come to the same grim realization. Both he and Lee Shiyan had attained the Foundation Stage. Their lives, though finite, could be sustained by spiritual energy. But Xi Junrong, still at the Body Forging Stage, would face death without sustenance.

Xi Junrong's eyes flickered open, revealing a smile.

They didn't scorn him for being merely a cultivator with a Quinary Spiritual Root; instead, they were genuinely concerned for his well-being. He had braced himself for abandonment, yet here they were, standing by his side.

Lee Shiyan rose from the ground, dusting off his clothes. Far from feeling anxious, he spoke with unwavering confidence, "Let's find a way out of this Hidden Space, shall we? Today, we three prodigies will shatter the laws of the Cultivation World and escape from this Hidden Space."

Murong Qi nodded in agreement, while Xi Junrong also got to his feet.

"Instead of just sitting around, we're better off exploring," Murong Qi suggested.

Together, they moved in unison toward the forest.

The further they ventured, the taller the surrounding trees grew. Leaves shifted from lush green to withered yellow, and an eerie fog crept around them.

"This fog is peculiar," Murong Qi remarked, his voice tinged with suspicion.

Instantly, the trio was on high alert.

"Could there be an ancient Demonic Beast lurking in the Hidden Space? I can't see a thing in this fog. Where are you guys?" Lee Shiyan called out as he walked, shivering uncontrollably. The fog was so dense he couldn't tell if anyone was still beside him. Silence was his only answer.

It was as though he was alone in this bizarre place.

Lee Shiyan's grip on his sword quivered, and he began to shiver. They had become separated in the terrifying expanse of the Hidden Space.

He forced himself to stay calm and extended his divine sense to feel everything around him. Footsteps sounded from his right rear.

Lee Shiyan drew his sword and lunged toward the sound.

It wasn't until Lee Shiyan was a mere three steps away that he could make out the figure through the fog. With a burst of effort, he halted his sword just in time.

It was Murong Qi.

"Watch out!"

With a swift pull, Murong Qi yanked Lee Shiyan to his side, away from where he had been standing. Lee Shiyan then noticed a vine-like growth sprouting from his previous spot.

The growth quickly towered over them, sensing its prey had escaped, and it lunged at the pair with wild abandon.

Murong Qi retrieved a green, spherical object resembling a pearl from his storage space and tossed it skyward. In an instant, it expanded into a Barrier that enveloped them.

Crafted by high-ranking cultivators of the Nascent Infant Stage and beyond, the Barrier Bead was imbued with their spiritual force, capable of erecting a Barrier to shield lower-rank cultivators.

The vines lashed against the Barrier in a frenzied assault, their sound chilling to the core. It appeared that, having finally recognized their inability to harm Lee Shiyan and Murong Qi, the vines withdrew, retreating into the earth from whence they came.
