C92 Killing the Demon Wolf.

Thunderclouds amassed ominously in the sky, and the rumble of thunder was terrifyingly loud. It was as though an unseen, mighty hand clutched the throat of the Bloodthirsty Devil Wolf below.

Not just the Bloodthirsty Devil Wolf, but Lee Shiyan and the rest were equally astonished. Their Eldest Senior Brother indeed possessed a Thunder Spiritual Root, but how could he, merely at the Foundation Stage, wield the power to manipulate the sky's lightning?

For the Bloodthirsty Devil Wolves, this was an unprecedented spectacle, and fear took hold of them instantly. They scattered in a panic, kicking up clouds of dust as they sprinted away from Jiang Su, convinced he was a demon incarnate.

"My disciple, your strength is astounding. Even these deceased Bloodthirsty Devil Wolves cower before you," Shangguan Yue quipped before her tone turned serious. "Truthfully, they were Intermediate Rank Devil Beasts with Golden Core Stage cultivation. They belonged in the Secret Realm or the Devil Beast Forest. But here they are, brought to this place after death. It's quite tragic. Nonetheless, we should deal with them now to prevent any further complications."

"Demon?" Jiang Su's face remained impassive. The Ring of Chaos on his finger vibrated, and lightning streaked across the sky. Responding to the call of a formidable presence, the bolts savagely struck at the fleeing Bloodthirsty Devil Wolves.

The wolves were swift, but their speed was no match for the lightning's. Soon, Murong Qi and the others within the Barrier heard several blood-curdling screams that sent chills down their spines.

Not even the Wolf King could withstand the might of the thunder; with a mournful howl, it collapsed into a dark pool of blood. Its gaze towards the distant Jiang Su was filled with complexity—perhaps mourning its fate or finding solace in release.

Jiang Su turned once more, his hair electrified by the storm. He seemed to merge with the tempest, his pupils a striking Bai Zi hue.

Lee Shiyan applauded enthusiastically. The Eldest Senior Brother was formidable indeed. Had he possessed such power during his Mid Period of Foundation Stage, no one in the Devil Domain would have been his equal.

Jiang Su stood just beyond the Barrier, ensconced in lightning. His eyes seemed to hold deep, dark pools, poised to engulf all life before him in an instant.

Murong Qi couldn't help but feel his heart race at the sight of Jiang Su. For a millennium, the Immortal Sect and the Devil Domain had maintained a surface peace. In all his life, Murong Qi had never encountered a Devil Cultivator radiating such intense demonic energy.

It was as though everyone was gravitating towards and merging with the Immortal Domain. The Devil Cultivator's elite no longer ascended to power through feats of strength but through familial influence and cunning. Outwardly harmonious, their true nature was only revealed behind closed doors, much like malevolent spirits in the Ghost Domain, concealing their ambitions and feigning benevolence among humans.

He had never come across anyone who had achieved Great Completion in demonic energy, as described in the ancient texts—until today, when he met Jiang Su. Jiang Su was the epitome of a gentleman: strikingly handsome with a mild manner. He seemed more suited to the First Immortal Sect than the First Devil Sect. Yet, unbeknownst even to himself, Jiang Su harbored a formidable demonic energy.

The lightning scorched the earth beneath them to a crisp, leaving behind the acrid scent of charred blood. Then, as quickly as it had appeared, the electricity surrounding Jiang Su vanished, and he was himself again.

"We're okay now. Let's move on," he said, his voice soothingly gentle, as if he hadn't just wielded the power of lightning to annihilate a pack of Bloodthirsty Devil Wolves.

Lee Shiyan's eyes sparkled with admiration. With Jiang Su by his side, he felt no fear of danger in the Secret Realm.

"Jiang, you're incredible!" he exclaimed, giving a thumbs-up.

Murong Qi offered a remorseful thanks. "Eldest Senior Brother, I am deeply grateful."

Xi Junrong, however, couldn't contain his agitation, fixating on Jiang Su's left hand. There, on Jiang Su's middle finger, was a seemingly mundane ring.

This ring enabled Jiang Su to harness the force of thunder—a power that only the Ring of Chaos, chronicled in ancient lore, could grant. Yet Jiang Su's demeanor remained unaffected, as if the ring's significance was lost on him, prompting Xi Junrong to hold his peace.

He couldn't bear Lee Shiyan's screams either—they were piercingly shrill.

The group pressed on toward their point of origin.

Throughout their journey, they encountered no peril. Aside from the Bloodthirsty Devil Wolves they had already faced, the Hidden Space seemed devoid of any other entities, and silence once again enveloped them.

Jiang Su paid no mind to Lee Shiyan's chatter.

Inside the Life Sword, Shangguan Yue found Lee Shiyan's noise grating, yet he had witnessed the recent ordeal. Lee Shiyan was faint-hearted with a modest cultivation base. However, when Murong Qi and Xi Junrong were in need of defense, he stepped up to the challenge, opting to engage in battle to safeguard them.

Lee Shiyan's bravery was laudable; he truly shone in his moments of earnestness.

"We've arrived," Lee Shiyan announced. "Jiang, this is where we set off earlier. It's our landing point within the Hidden Space."

They found themselves in a forest where trees soared skyward, yet the scene differed from what Jiang Su had observed from a distance.

He noted a sticky, green substance oozing from the trees, its appearance alone enough to turn one's stomach.

"It's tasteless and non-toxic," Jiang Su declared.

The trio sighed in relief.

"Is there a formation here that could transport us out?" Lee Shiyan mused, scouring the vicinity.

"Disciple, I sense no formation," Shangguan Yue remarked. "Could it be that we're truly trapped within this Hidden Space? After a millennium in the Thousand Feet Illusion, I never imagined I'd be confined here for another thousand years. Such a waste for a prodigy like you."

Jiang Su steadied his heart. If the Hidden Space had not manifested in the Myriad Origin Secret Realm for countless millennia, and the system had since reformed it, they were bound to find an exit.

A familiar mechanical sound filled the air, bolstering Jiang Su's sense of safety.

"You have unlocked and triggered a hidden mission: Hunt the Twin Phantoms and the Fierce Wind Bird. Mission rewards include: departure from the Thousand Feet Illusion, a Divine Grade Barrier Bead, and ten Essence Flowers."

The Twin Phantoms were Intermediate Rank Devil Beasts capable of mimicking any living creature they saw, using this ability to bewilder their foes. Their cultivation level was on par with the Golden Core Stage.

The Twin Phantoms posed little challenge, yet the Fierce Wind Bird was a different story altogether—quite the nuisance.

This creature was an upper-tier Devil Beast, with a cultivation level surpassing the Nascent Infant Stage. Its attacks were lightning-fast, and much like the Bloodthirsty Devil Wolf, it was a creature of the pack. Jiang Su could only hope that the Myriad Origin Secret Realm housed but a handful of these Fierce Wind Birds.

Internally, Jiang Su was already strategizing potential countermeasures. Meanwhile, Lee Shiyan approached them from a short distance away, his face etched with terror. As he neared, he abruptly halted, his head swiveling frantically as he scanned the area behind and before him.

His features were twisted in a blend of panic and fear, lending him an almost comical appearance.
