C96 The Ancient Divine Sword Reappeared in the World!.

"Why aren't you the least bit worried? Look at those people behind you; their faces are as white as the wall."

Lee Shiyan stood at the edge of the Barrier, his eyes shut, refusing to look at the monsters. "We owe a debt of gratitude to Murong Qi's sister," he said. "The Barrier Bead crafted by the Female Ruler is truly exceptional—it has successfully held back these monsters."

No sooner had Lee Shiyan spoken than a fissure formed in the Barrier close to Murong Qi. Murong Qi yelled, "Lee Shiyan, you jinx! Just be quiet!"

"What's the matter?"

Lee Shiyan opened his eyes, feigning innocence, only to see the once-solid Barrier now marred by a crack.

His face drained of color, he murmured, "How could this happen? Am I destined to die here today? If I'm reborn, I swear I'll never come to the First Devil Sect for the disciple trials again!"

After uttering these words, he glanced over at Jiang Su, Murong Qi, and the others, his expression shifting from dazed to composed.

Their stomachs turned at the sight of Lee Shiyan's gaze.

Jiang Su, witnessing the unfolding drama, remained silent, not replying to Shangguan Yue's earlier remarks.

He couldn't fathom why his luck was so terrible to have crossed paths with someone like Lee Shiyan.

Shangguan Yue, trapped within the Life Sword, continued his tirade, his frustration making him forget the poise expected of a top Talisman Cultivator. He was livid. It had been no small feat to find a prodigy with a Celestial Spiritual Root, and now this talent might perish in this Hidden Space, which infuriated him.

He was desperate to uncover who was responsible for the day's chaos.

The Demonic Beasts and Devil Beasts, though dead, still possessed a modicum of intelligence. They detected the crack in the Barrier and threw themselves against it with all their might.

Murong Qi and Lee Shiyan had intended to infuse the Barrier with spiritual energy to mend the breach. To their dismay, they discovered that the Barrier would only accept energy from its original creator. Besides, their own powers were too weak to make any difference.

Jiang Su let out a sigh. The system's countdown echoed within him, and the appearance of the crack had him on edge once more.

A system alert indicated there were only three minutes remaining, casting doubt in his mind whether the Barrier could hold up against the relentless assault of the creatures.

Out of nowhere, a Winged Dragon swooped down from the sky, launching an attack. Its wings beat furiously as it rammed its body against the Barrier with such force that it seemed to signal the nearby Devil Beasts to escalate their frenzy.

"Oh my god, I didn't realize this Demonic Beast could fly. If they breach the top of the Barrier, we're done for," Murong Qi exclaimed, his eyes wide with trepidation as he gazed at the Barrier overhead, which, for the moment, remained intact.

Jiang Su gripped his Life Sword, poised for combat. He surveyed the encircling monsters—some were creatures of legend, chronicled in the Immortal Classics, while others were unique to this Hidden Space.

The fissures in the Barrier widened ominously.

Exchanging a determined glance, Jiang Su and Little Kylin launched their counterattack against the tide of beasts from different positions. Almost instantly, the Life Sword was drenched in the blood of Demonic Beasts. Little Kylin struggled to fend off one wave, only to face another relentless surge of beasts charging at them.

With no other option, Jiang Su and Little Kylin were forced to withdraw behind the Barrier's protection.

Jiang Su's gaze was icy as he watched the frenzied horde. Then, with a whispered incantation, his sword soared into the air, transforming into a myriad of sword shadows that rained down with lethal precision. Each shadow was razor-sharp, the sword energy formidable, swiftly slaying the front line of Demonic and Devil Beasts, which fell with agonized cries into pools of their own blood.

Yet the carnage only fueled the fervor of the oncoming beast tide, which trampled the fallen and surged forward, relentlessly battering the Barrier.

A creeping fog began to envelop the Hidden Space, casting an eerie and ominous pall over the scene.

Jiang Su listened to the system's countdown—two minutes left.

He silently prayed the Barrier would hold.

The constant barrage had left them desensitized to the chaos. The crack in the Barrier grew, allowing smaller Demonic Beasts to infiltrate. Lee Shiyan and Murong Qi managed to dispatch these lesser threats, their blood splattering upon them in the fray.

Jiang Su was seized by an unexplainable restlessness and grabbed his sword. Despite having slain countless Devil and Demonic Beasts, his blade remained unsullied by their blood.

He pressed the tip of his sword against the palm of his other hand, slicing open a wound. Blood flowed onto the blade, causing it to emit a radiant glow.

Jiang Su then knelt on one knee and thrust the sword single-handedly into the earth. The ground shook violently as fierce sword intents erupted, lancing through the encroaching beast tide from all directions. Black blood soon drenched the area around him, exuding a foul stench as agonized screams echoed in the air.

The other three and Little Kylin watched Jiang Su with eyes filled with awe.

However, Jiang Su's strike had inadvertently awakened something. The land beneath him stirred from its deep slumber, and it seemed as if the beast trapped below was on the verge of breaking its bonds. To the east, a blinding red light shot up from the earth, heralding the arrival of Hundun, one of the four great ancient beasts chronicled in the Immortal Classics.

Everyone, including Jiang Su, was utterly dumbfounded.

Simultaneously, lights of various colors exploded from the ground. Lee Shiyan gazed upon the unfolding scene, fear taking hold of him. Escape from the Myriad Origin Secret Realm now seemed impossible.

"It's Hundun, the ancient ferocious beast! If the Immortal Sovereign and the Female Ruler are powerless against it, what chance do we stand?" Lee Shiyan said with a wry smile, then added, "This is our final stand. Xi Junrong, take cover behind me—I'll protect you."

His voice was a roar as he uttered these final words.

Murong Qi's gaze was fixed on the Barrier. The power of his sister, usually formidable, was diminished in this Hidden Space. Had she been present, these beast tides would have posed no threat.

He thought of his father and sister, feeling a deep sense of disappointment. There would be no more reunions for them.

The Myriad Origin Secret Realm was meant only for cultivators below the Golden Core Stage. Such a fearsome Demonic Beast as Hundun had no place here.

Panic gripped Jiang Su. Only ninety seconds remained. Could he withstand the onslaught with the strength he possessed?

Jiang Su mused, "I've only glimpsed the semblance of an ancient ferocious beast within the illusory confines of the Phantom Space in the Ancient Sealing Secret Realm, but now, I'm witnessing it in the flesh."

Yet, he wished he had never laid eyes on the chaos that was Hundun.

"Host, congratulations on acquiring the sword of antiquity, the Qianyuan Sword. To summon it, simply command, 'Sword, come.'"

Jiang Su recalled the Qianyuan Sword from the tomes of Immortal Classics. It was a formidable blade from the Upper Realm.

A surge of excitement washed over Jiang Su. This was, by far, the most formidable weapon he had secured since his initiation into the system's mysteries.
