C97 My Wife Is Jealous.

Jiang Su burst through the Barrier, carving a bloody path through the onslaught of beasts. With the battle behind him, he slid his Life Sword back into its sheath and secured it at his waist.

"Qianyuan Sword!"

No sooner had he uttered the words than the entire Hidden Space underwent a dramatic transformation. A light as bright as daylight unfurled from Jiang Su's crown, reaching across the sky. It seemed to shatter the veil between the Hidden Space and the outside world, piercing a vast hole in the heavens.

Inside the Barrier, Lee Shiyan, Murong Qi, and Xi Junrong were utterly astounded. They started to question whether Jiang Su was truly just at the Foundation Stage.

Suddenly, their confidence in escaping the Hidden Space swelled.

All their faith rested on Jiang Su.

In the distance, mountains crumbled with a thunderous roar, and a golden light burst forth. Cutting through mist and forest, the light found its way to its master. The booming that filled the Hidden Space seemed to herald its imminent collapse.

Shangguan Yue had screamed countless times today. Yet, disregarding his sore throat, he marveled, "I recognize this as the Ancient Divine Qianyuan Sword. Legend has it that the Qianyuan Sword belonged to the Battle God of the Upper Realm, endowed with immense power."

He was familiar with Jiang Su's temperament and left his sentence hanging.

He suspected that Jiang Su harbored secrets unknown even to himself, such as being a descendant of the Battle God.

The notion that Jiang Su was a progeny of both a Sword Immortal and a Battle God seemed far-fetched, but it was the truth.

A sword bathed in golden light caught Murong Qi's gaze. He was at a loss for words to describe his feelings upon seeing the sword, yet he sensed that it, like its owner Jiang Su, was shrouded in both mystery and danger.

Once more, Jiang Su radiated an intense demonic energy!

The sword sliced through the air, its formidable energy effortlessly dispatching the low-rank Demonic Beasts present. This alone attested to the sword's extraordinary might.

Lee Shiyan watched Jiang Su, now standing before the sword, bathed in a radiant white glow.

Lee Shiyan couldn't help but see Jiang Su, clad in white, as if donned in battle armor. Jiang Su stood with his back to him, and while his expression was hidden from view, Shiyan was certain it was one of calm resolve. Just the sight of Jiang Su's silhouette instilled a sense of tranquility within him.

He found himself believing that Jiang Su could lead them out of the eerie and fearsome Hidden Space. Yet, he kept silent this time, wary of inciting another rebuke from Murong Qi.

Hundun remained motionless, a mere few dozen meters away, his gaze fixed on Jiang Su amidst the white glow.

As the sword approached, Jiang Su tensed.

His heart raced; he closed his eyes and grasped the hilt of the Qianyuan Sword.

A surge of power flooded into him, replenishing all the spiritual energy he had depleted in the Hidden Space.

In a flash, Jiang Su was at his peak once more.

Upon reopening his eyes, his gaze and presence were utterly transformed. The Ring of Chaos on his left hand vibrated as thunderclouds amassed overhead, sending down bolts that slew many Demonic Beasts, yet the Barrier remained intact.

Tragically, the Barrier began to fracture.

The air was thick with the foul stench of black blood. The Demonic Beasts, undeterred by the lightning, were struck down one after another, yet they kept surging forward.

The system's countdown neared its final thirty seconds.

Hundun showed no signs of aggression, and while Jiang Su was perplexed, he also breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Hundun refrained from attacking, they were sure to escape unscathed.

Wielding the Qianyuan Sword, Jiang Su was unstoppable, felling countless Demonic Beasts with each swing.

"Xi Junrong, get out of the way!" Lee Shiyan's voice tore through the chaos.

By the time Jiang Su heard Shiyan's cry, only ten seconds remained.

He spotted an Invisible Demon creeping up behind Xi Junrong. Lee Shiyan and Murong Qi were preoccupied, battling the lower-ranked Demonic Beasts, leaving them no chance to confront the stealthy assailant.

The Invisible Demon lurked within various cultivation secret realms, capable of turning invisible to ambush its enemies.

Jiang Su slew all the Demonic Beasts in his path. With a swift motion, the Life Sword at his waist soared into the air, charging between the Invisible Demon and Xi Junrong. The sword chimed crisply, adeptly deflecting the Invisible Demon's assault.

Xi Junrong, who had fallen to the ground, grasped the Life Sword firmly in his hands. Witnessing this, Jiang Su's heart leapt.

With a majestic presence, Xi Junrong drew the Life Sword.

Xi Junrong vanquished the Invisible Demon!

The countdown for teleportation commenced.

Jiang Su was astounded. Despite possessing only a Quinary Spiritual Root, Xi Junrong had managed to wield the Life Sword.

A realization dawned on Jiang Su.

Lee Shiyan, brimming with excitement, exclaimed, "What's happening? Look! There's a Teleport Formation beneath us. Can we finally leave?"

Meanwhile, Shangguan Yue, trapped within the Life Sword, was in tears, struggling to maintain composure. It made sense now why Xi Junrong reminded him so much of Chen Pingsheng; there was a connection between them.

Yet, the exact nature of the relationship between Xi Junrong and Chen Pingsheng eluded him. Perhaps Xi Junrong was a descendant of Chen Pingsheng.

Shangguan Yue hadn't heard any mention of Chen Pingsheng marrying.

For Chen Pingsheng's sake, Shangguan Yue had endured a millennium of solitude. He never imagined Chen Pingsheng would marry. Could it be that the marriage occurred just before Ascension?

Shangguan Yue couldn't fathom why anyone would choose to marry Chen Pingsheng.

Suddenly, a wave of dizziness overtook him, and Shangguan Yue lost consciousness.

When the group came to, they found themselves standing on the Inner Sect's round platform.

The first thing Jiang Su noticed was the figure seated in the place of honor. It was Murong Yan, the Empress of the Devil Sect, draped in a white robe and a veil.

The veil did little to hide her beauty, reminiscent of a celestial fairy.

Her black hair, loosely tied back, allowed a few strands to cascade past her impeccable profile, resting gently upon her delicate neck. With each subtle movement, her hair would lightly caress her neck.

On the Inner Sect's round platform, not a soul dared to meet Murong Yan's gaze.

As the most powerful individual in the Lower Realm and the ruler of the Ten Devil Domains, Murong Yan commanded an intimidating presence. All but Jiang Su avoided her piercing stare.

Upon spotting the four figures on the platform, Murong Yan and Chiu Yue hastened toward them. The Empress of the Devil Sect, clad in a flowing white veil, made her way up to the platform. A single glance into her eyes, and Jiang Su could tell she was a mix of shock and delight—a rare sight for someone of her stature.

Yet, it wasn't Jiang Su she was rushing to—it was Murong Qi at his side.

"How are you? Are you hurt anywhere?" the Empress inquired, her voice exuding a softness.

Jiang Su had never heard his wife speak with such tenderness.

Elder Chiu Yue was visibly overjoyed, nearly moved to tears. He embraced Jiang Su then quickly released him. After a scrutinizing look that melted into relief, he exclaimed, "I'm relieved you're unharmed. You truly live up to being my disciple! Well done!"

Jiang Su remained stoic, offering no reaction other than a slight nod.

What was happening?
