C99 My Junior Brother Is Lee Shiyan!

Seeing the Female Ruler finally step away, Lee Shiyan quickly sidled up to Jiang Su and slung an arm around his shoulder, a gesture that had become almost second nature to him.

His eyes sparkled with excitement as he exclaimed, "That's the Female Ruler? My God! I've only ever heard about her. This is my first time laying eyes on her."

Jiang Su, with a frosty detachment, shrugged off Lee Shiyan's arm and said, "The Disciple Recruiting Ceremony is about to start. With only a Fire Spiritual Root, have you made up your mind about whose disciple you'd like to be?"

"I've made my decision. I want Elder Chiu Yue to take me on as his apprentice. I aspire to be your junior brother and follow in your footsteps," Lee Shiyan declared.

Having braved the Hidden Space of the Myriad Origin Secret Realm together, Lee Shiyan knew that sticking close to Jiang Su meant safety. Jiang Su had the prowess to best a Nascent Infant Stage Expert even in the Mid Period of the Foundation Stage. It was settled in Lee Shiyan's mind; he was going to be Jiang Su's right-hand man.

"Eldest Senior Brother, your sword," Xi Junrong said, his demeanor calm and collected, in stark contrast to Lee Shiyan's animated outburst. He presented the Life Sword to Jiang Su with respectful deference.

From within the sword, the sound of weeping emerged.

Jiang Su accepted the Life Sword in silence, remarking, "You're still weeping? I thought you'd found your peace by now."

Through her tears, Shangguan Yue lamented, "I can't come to terms with it. His last name is Xi, and he's from the Devil Domain. There's no way he's a descendant of Chen Pingsheng. I refuse to believe that Chen Pingsheng would ever marry."

Shangguan Yue then unleashed a tirade of insults at Chen Pingsheng.

Jiang Su was at a loss for words.

Eventually, Shangguan Yue ran out of venom for Chen Pingsheng and, finding the tirade tiresome, fell silent, ready to turn his attention to the Disciple Recruiting Ceremony.

Sword in hand, Jiang Su moved to stand beside his master. Once positioned, he surveyed the assembly on the round platform with a grave countenance.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we encountered some issues with the Myriad Origin Secret Realm today, but thankfully, Jiang Su has resolved them. Now, we proceed to the final phase of the disciple trials—the Disciple Recruiting Ceremony. Please line up according to the number of your spiritual roots. Those with a Single Spiritual Root, take your place in the first row, and those with a Triple Spiritual Root, in the last," he instructed.

As Hsu Feng uttered his final words, he was struck by the memory of Xi Junrong, who, with his Quinary Spiritual Root, had garnered Jiang Su's support and earned a spot at the Disciple Recruiting Ceremony. The First Devil Sect's minimum requirement for Outer Sect disciples was a Triple Spiritual Root, leaving Hsu Feng feeling somewhat embarrassed.

Lee Shiyan gave Xi Junrong's shoulder a reassuring pat, signaling him to disregard any concerns.

To everyone's surprise, Xi Junrong seemed utterly unfazed by the situation. Noticing the scornful glances from some disciples, he simply laughed it off. He gave Lee Shiyan's hand a light touch in acknowledgment before deliberately heading to the end of the line.

As the disciples took their time to form orderly queues, a restless buzz filled the air.

Bai Yih couldn't help but steal glances at the Female Ruler. Su Wuyou, coolly standing by his side, sent a telepathic message laced with a chill: "Bai Yih, watch your behavior. Do you honestly believe the Female Ruler is oblivious to your desires? You're not in her league!"

Hearing this, Bai Yih snapped his head up to meet Su Wuyou's gaze. The two had been at loggerheads for centuries, with Su Wuyou often mocking him. He was thoroughly fed up.

"Madman," he spat the word out, seething with resentment. If Murong Yan hadn't favored Su Wuyou, Bai Yih would have secretly disposed of her long ago.

Su Wuyou caught the glaring malice in Bai Yih's eyes and let out a contemptuous huff. Having confirmed her suspicions, she fell silent.

She had reached a definitive judgment on the matter.

She was indeed a madwoman, beyond any need for justification.

And Bai Yih? He was just as mad.

Meanwhile, on the round platform, the youths destined to join the First Devil Sect had formed several lines.

Xi Junrong stood apart, forming a line of his own. His demeanor remained unchanged, exuding tranquility as he took his place at the very back.

He was young and not as tall as those in front of him. Without looking specifically for him, one might miss him entirely, even his hair.

Jiang Su, however, had already devised a plan to welcome Xi Junrong and the others as his new junior brothers.

After completing the task, he was free to check in at other locations, something he was quietly looking forward to with anticipation.

He was eager to take in the sights of the Fantasy World.

In the first row stood just three individuals.

One was Lee Shiyan, bearer of the Fire Spiritual Root. In that moment, he stood tall and straight, his expression stern, exuding a handsome air.

Another was Liu Qi, with the Wood Spiritual Root, clad in black. As Hsu Feng called out his name, he nodded, attempting a smile that unfortunately fell short of pleasant.

The last was Jiang Yu, possessor of the Water Spiritual Root. The young girl was strikingly beautiful, with almond-shaped eyes and crimson lips, her hair neatly tied back. Her skin was fair and flawless, even in the shadows, and a sliver of sunlight highlighted the corner of her eyes. Her charming smile radiated innocence; she was barely twelve years old.

Jiang Su spared her only a brief glance before averting his eyes. Shangguan Yue, for some reason, directed his irritation at Jiang Su: "She's so pretty, and yet you only gave her a glance. If you weren't married, I'd doubt your interests. If you ever have such a child, I'll help you raise her. That way, when I meet Chen Pingsheng in the afterlife, I'll have something to boast about."

Jiang Su genuinely considered Elder Chiu Yue to be the most dependable among his mentors.

Prompted by the comment, Jiang Su took a longer look at Jiang Yu. She was young and pure-hearted, and his gaze brought her joy.

She had always thought the Devil Sect's Eldest Senior Brother was the most handsome man she had ever seen.

Su Wuyou's attention was captured by Jiang Yu, her eyes brightening. Previously preoccupied with Jiang Su's condition, she hadn't noticed the girl. Now, Jiang Yu had her full attention.

This talented young beauty was destined to be her disciple and join the ranks of the Carefree Pavilion.

Bai Yih had no interest in competing with Su Wuyou. He never took fragile girls as disciples. Should he ever accept a female disciple, he knew Yang Tian and the others would likely be distracted, paying more attention to the girls than their training.

Bai Yih truly understood his disciple, Yang Tian. Yang Tian had taken notice of Jiang Yu while ascending the heavenly staircase.

Lin Tian saw a resemblance between Lee Shiyan and his Senior Brother Chiu Yue, prompting him to propose, "Senior Brother Chiu Yue, Lee Shiyan possesses a Fire Spiritual Root just like you. Why not take on another disciple to train alongside Jiang Hee? That way, Jiang Hee won't be alone. Sword Wing Peak has been too silent since Wang Tian's departure."

Elder Chiu Yue agreed, recognizing Lee Shiyan's potential as a disciple. With a Fire Spiritual Root and having reached the Early Period of Foundation Stage at just sixteen, plus his extensive swordsmanship skills, Lee Shiyan was certainly a promising student.

He had initially seen a similarity between Xi Junrong and Jiang Su, believing they would make a good match. His first inclination was to take Xi Junrong as a direct disciple, but regrettably, Xi Junrong had a Quinary Spiritual Root. Proactively offering discipleship to Xi Junrong would likely raise eyebrows among his peers.

Thus, he decided to start by making Xi Junrong an Outer Sect disciple. As for what the future held, it would be left to destiny.
