C2 Becoming a Mutated Human

Having recovered, Qin Hao quickly examined his body for any changes. While there weren't anything missing, he didn't see anything added either!

"That's it? Surely not!"

At that moment, Qin Hao's stat interface popped up in his mind.

Host: Qin Hao

Age: 17

System: Zombie Farm System

Identity: F-Class mutated human

Land Possessed: 6 pieces of Yellow Land

Experience Points: 0

Skills: Stereotomy, Puppet Control

Upon seeing his newly attained skills, Qin Hao clenched his fists in pure excitement. After all, these skills would be his life-saver during this post-apocalyptic era!

With great anticipation, he quickly tested his new skills. Firstly, Stereotomy.

As soon as he activated Stereotomy, Qin Hao saw several near transparent lines dart out from his fingertips!

In the blink of an eye, the pile of debris before him had been sliced into smaller cubes with smooth surfaces!

Dumbfounded by its power, Qin Hao exclaimed, "This is way too overpowered! Even steel wires aren't this sharp!"

Despite its great power, Qin Hao soon found out that the skill was only effective within a vicinity of five meters. Any further and it would start to lose its cutting edge.

Even so, this most fascinating thing about those thin lines was how it could practically extend infinitely and still keep its extreme toughness!

At that moment, Qin Hao suddenly felt as if he had become the next spiderman, seeing how similar his Steoreotomy was to spider webs.

Now testing out his Puppet Control skill, he found that he could not only control objects, but also living creatures, including zombies.

But since there weren't any zombies nearby at that moment, Qin Hao could only try to control the objects around him. Still lacking proficiency with that skill, however, his control of the objects was just like that of an amateur — clumsy and distorted.

"Looks like I'll have to find a place to practice!"

Speaking up to this point, Qin Hao suddenly remembered his new identity as an F-Class Mutated Human. He then asked the system, "How many levels are there to a mutated human? Is F-class competent enough?"

[Mutated humans are divided into six different levels. Starting from the lowest, F-class, B-class, A-class, S-class, SS-class, and SSS-class.]

Hearing its explanation, Qin Hao's expression turned glum with dissatisfaction as he complained, "I endured extensive pain for such a long period, yet I only reached the lowest level of a mutated human?!"

As expected, the system completely ignored him once again. Shaking his head helplessly, Qin Hao began looking for more zombies to practice his new skills.

Very soon, Qin Hao found a zombie with a crippled leg in a small alley. He then activated his Puppet Control skills and used ten thin threads to control the zombie.

At that moment, Qin Hao learned that he could actually switch sights between the zombie and himself, feeling as if the controlled zombie had become one of his clones.

Reckoning that it would be too dangerous to practice this skill outside, Qin Hao led the zombie to an empty and relatively clean room before blocking the door and sealing the windows with his threads.

He then hid within and practice for days after days. Whenever he felt hungry, he would eat the vegetables he grew. Whenever he felt thirsty, he would simply eat the fruits in his storage. In any case, what he lacked the least now were food and water.

Only after three days did Qin Hao finally completely master the Puppet Control Technique!

During those three days, Qin Hao had also been consuming Blood Grass to improve his physique. As such, Qin Hao's muscles had become rather firm and rigid as if they contained an endless amount of strength!

Whether it be strength or speed, he was confident that he had already surpassed the vast majority of ordinary people.

...

Two days later, on a street filled with zombies, a crippled zombie holding a machete staggered its way behind a middle-aged male zombie before suddenly lashing out with a sneak attack!

With a single slash of its machete, the crippled zombie beheaded the middle-aged male zombie.

Blood gushed up from the zombie's neck like a crimson fountain as its head slowly rolled across the street. Having its head severed, its lifeless corpse collapsed to the ground in a ragdoll-like fashion.

The other zombies around the vicinity glanced at the scene in confusion for a moment before continuing to wander around aimlessly.

Shrugging it off like a human, the crippled zombie proceeded to hobble its way behind another zombie, raised its machete once again, and slashed down the neck of the other zombie.

If one analyzed the strange phenomenon closely, they would notice a few transparent threads attached to the crippled zombie's body that extended into the distance.

In a particular residential room far away, Qin Hao was happily stir-frying vegetables in the kitchen.

As he stirred the vegetable with his ladle, a sudden jolt of pain shocked through his body. Instinctively letting go of the pan in his hands, the simmer-fried eggplant fell to the ground.

Qin Hao's face tensed up in excruciating remorse. "It seems that multitasking is still too much for me to handle!"

It turned out that Qin Hao had been using his Zombie Puppet Technique to kill other zombies outside for experience points while his actual body was cooking in the safety of the house.

Although he had ruined the simmer-fried eggplant, there was still a place of sour and spicy shredded potatoes, a plate of stir-fried vegetables, a fruit platter, and a large bowl of plain white rice on the table.

This was his lunch for today.

Just for this bowl of plain white rice, Qin Hao had to spend his entire morning researching how to get rid of the shell surrounding the rice.

While other transmigrators often fought monsters and leveled up before creating their harem of beauties, Qin Hao, on the other hand, was growing his own agricultural products for his meals. He truly was living like a farmer now.

Even so, his hard work from morning had not gone to waste as the bowl of fragrant rice allowed Qin Hao to experience the joy of being a living person.

After eating and drinking his fill, Qin Hao opened the farm interface and realized that he had more than 200 experience points stored up in his Experience Bar!

These were all obtained by the zombie puppet that Qin Hao was previously controlling!

Since upgrading a single piece of yellow land required 100 experience points, it would take him a total of 600 points to upgrade all six pieces of his land to the next level.

But how long would it take for him to control his puppet and kill the zombies outside one by one?

With that in mind, he realized that some changes must be made if he wanted to level up his land at a decent pace. Otherwise, he would end up having to set up stalls to sell ordinary vegetables, seeing how much of it he got from his yellow land.

On that same afternoon, Qin Hao discovered a crossroad surrounded by tall buildings in a certain area where zombies gathered.

He then created large amounts of threads and tied them onto the pillars on each side of the crossroad like a spider setting up its territory for feeding.

When all four intersections were completely covered up in a woven net, Qin Hao swaggered his way to the center of the crossroad.

He pulled out the manhole cover on the street and strike down on it with a club.

"Come on! Don't miss out on this amazing deal! A fresh piece of meat lies in wait for you here! Everyone, come and dine in!"

Qin Hao shouted aloud as the metal vibrations from the manhole cover reverberated through the vicinity.

His voice was so loud that it could be heard from three blocks away!

As this place was a common gathering area for zombies, Qin Hao causing such a large commotion there was no different from poking a hornet's nest.

At that moment, hordes of zombies rushed towards the middle of the crossroad from all directions. Hearing their footsteps, even Qin Hao could not help but be taken aback!

Was he taking things too lightly?

In the midst of his thoughts, the horde of zombies had already reached the intersection.

Just as they dashed into the intersection, however, their bodies had already been sliced into pieces of flesh by the threads surrounding the crossroad before they even knew what happened. Just like shattered pieces of lego, their limbs and organs scattered all over the ground. They certainly could not be more dead!

The roads that converged at the intersection had instantly become large meat grinders.

Lacking the ability to think, the zombies disregarded their dead allies and continued rushing into the death trap.

After taking a good look at the horde of zombies around him, Qin Hao did not dare to make any more noise.

"Jesus christ! There must be hundreds, if not, thousands of zombies here!"

Meanwhile, he looked at his Experience Bar again and saw the green bar skyrocketting rapidly.

Even now, there were still endless numbers of zombies charging towards him from all sides of the crossroad.

At this point, Qin Hao could not help but feel somewhat nervous. Was it really okay to create such a huge commotion?

However, he did not care anymore as he needed to prioritize leveling up right now!

Determined, Qin Hao immediately upgraded all six pieces of his Yellow Land to the Crimson Land.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for successfully leveling up! System reward: Zombie Saddle x 1 (Note: A farm owner who does not know how to ride zombies is certainly not a competent owner!).]

"Bullshit! You go ride zombies all you want! I'm not going to do it! That's gross!"

Qin Hao might appear stubborn now, but even he would eventually have to swallow his words back!
