C11 Liu Guowei

Gao Mu arrived home, took a refreshing shower, and changed into a fresh set of clothes, feeling a profound sense of comfort in both body and mind. However, the day's events had left him feeling somewhat unsettled. He was aware that Ma might come to school on Monday to cause him trouble, and he still had one AFK point left for that day. "I must save the AFK point for the last hour of each day," he resolved, a lesson learned from today's experiences. Had he used the AFK point first thing in the morning, he would have undoubtedly faced a harsh beating.

After taking a short break, he realized it was already noon. Post-lunch, he settled down to tackle his homework, which for a senior high school student like him, mostly consisted of test papers. By the time Gao Mu finished, the sun had set. The other subjects, in which his grades were not as strong, proved more challenging, and the papers did not flow as smoothly as the previous day's politics and language.

The night passed quickly, and on Monday morning, Gao Mu entered the school gates with a spring in his step. At the entrance, he caught sight of Qing, who also noticed him. However, there was something odd about the way she looked at him, a reason he couldn't fathom.

The first class of the day was political science. Since the test was merely a quiz, Liu Guowei allocated just one class period for it, a practice he habitually followed. The students worked on their papers during the first period, while Liu Guowei graded and provided feedback during the second, simultaneously clarifying key concepts.

As Gao Mu received his test paper, a spark of determination flashed in his eyes. He began to work on the questions, which seemed to puzzle Liu Guowei. Teacher Liu had a soft spot for Gao Mu; despite consistently poor academic performance, Gao Mu's persistent effort was not lost on him.

At the sound of the bell signaling the end of class, Liu Guowei signaled the class representative to collect the papers. Back in his office, he specifically sought out Gao Mu's paper for a thorough review. What he saw left him astounded.

"Teacher Liu, what's the matter? You look so surprised," Han Qiu inquired with a chuckle, approaching Liu Guowei from behind.

Without revealing much, Liu Guowei simply turned to Han Qiu and offered a knowing smile.

Liu Guowei was well aware of Han Qiu's opinion of Gao Mu. If he were to share this incident with Han Qiu, she would undoubtedly accuse Gao Mu of plagiarism.

However, Liu Guowei was certain that Gao Mu was innocent of such an act.

Throughout the exam, his attention had been solely on Gao Mu.

From start to finish, Gao Mu had been diligently and meticulously working on his exam. He occasionally showed a hint of contemplation, but it quickly passed.

"Could he have gotten smarter?" Liu Guowei wondered.

During the second period, Teacher Liu was at the podium, simultaneously grading papers and discussing key points.

With ten minutes left in the class, he gestured for the class representative to distribute the graded exams.

"This time, a student in our class has truly impressed me," Teacher Liu announced with a smile, once all the papers had been handed out.

"Even though this was just a minor quiz, it included questions that I've identified as commonly mistaken on the college entrance exams from the past few years. Therefore, it wasn't easy."

"Yet today, one student in our class managed to get every single one of these challenging questions right."
