C13 How will You Prove This??

Gao Mu's loud proclamation was utterly ineffective.

His voice was quickly submerged by an even louder cacophony.

Liu Guowei surveyed the scene below with a touch of melancholy.

He was beginning to regret having announced Gao Mu's perfect score so publicly.

Gao Mu's face was etched with sorrow.

"Is admitting to cheating really that difficult for you?" Hee Yue looked at Gao Mu with scorn.

Her voice dripped with schadenfreude and contempt.

"I didn't cheat," Gao Mu asserted.

Unconvinced, Hee Yue retorted, "Then how can you prove your innocence?"

Gao Mu shook his head, his expression downcast. "I can't prove it, but I truly didn't cheat."

Hee Yue raised her voice, "So you're saying you're not even sure whether you cheated or not?"

Fear flickered in Gao Mu's eyes as he faced Hee Yue.

For the first time, he saw the cruelty in his classmate, which was truly frightening.

At this point, nobody seemed to care about the truth of whether he had cheated.

Class 6 was caught up in a frenzy, treating him like the main act in their revelry, a clown forced to keep smiling.

"I know he didn't cheat," Soong Yingqiu's entrance briefly hushed the class.

The quiet, however, was fleeting, lasting mere seconds.

"You know?" Hee Yue glanced at Yingqiu with disdain, her tone icy. "I'm starting to suspect you're cheating too. How can you prove his innocence?"

Gao Mu realized that Hee Yue was using the guise of justice to target those students who outperformed her.

Despair was written all over Gao Mu's face.

The situation had spiraled beyond his wildest expectations. Regardless of the outcome, he knew he couldn't remain in this class any longer.

"Teacher Liu," Gao Mu addressed Liu Guowei, who stood at the lectern.

"What is it?" Liu Guowei inquired.

With a heavy heart, Gao Mu asked, "May I transfer to your class?"

Without hesitation, Liu Guowei agreed.

He understood Gao Mu's predicament post-incident better than anyone.

"Alright!" Gao Mu rose to his feet and gave Liu Guowei a deep bow. "Thank you, Teacher Liu!"

Liu Guowei gestured dismissively, indicating there was no need for thanks.

"What's the matter?" Hee Yue's face took on the smug expression of a victor upon hearing Gao Mu's words. "So, you're ready to confess to cheating?"

Gao Mu replied to Hee Yue with a note of irritation in his voice, "Do you know why I requested to switch classes?"

"Why?" Hee Yue inquired, but immediately felt a twinge of regret, fearing Gao Mu's influence over her.

"Because now, I'm not worried about offending anyone."

In truth, Gao Mu had already devised a plan to clear up the cheating accusation by the time he had broached the subject of changing classes with Liu Guowei.

"If you all believe I've cheated, then I'll prove right now that I haven't," Gao Mu declared with unwavering conviction.

Hee Yue regarded Gao Mu with scorn. "And how do you propose to prove it? By taking the test again? If you scored perfectly the first time, you're likely to do it again."

"So, what difference does it make if you retake it? No one will believe you didn't cheat."
