"Did you take some kind of fake medicine?" Gao Mu asked Hee Yue incredulously. "What makes you think you can call yourself the challenger?"

His words struck a nerve with Hee Yue, and she lashed out in response.

"Why is he being so outrageous?"

"How can he be so shameless as to speak to a girl like that?"

"It's just too much! Who does he think he is?"

The other girls in the class, close to Hee Yue, chimed in to back her up.

"Are you even a man? How could you speak so rudely to a girl?"

"You're going to regret talking about Hee Yue like that."

At this point, the ones speaking up were either admirers of Hee Yue or those who were pursuing her.

"Get lost!" Gao Mu bellowed. "If you're capable, then step up and compete with me. If not, then keep your mouth shut."

This was the first time Gao Mu had shown such dominance.

"Fine, I'll take you on today," Hee Yue said, her face pale. "If you lose, you're not just leaving this school, but you'll also kneel and apologize to me. If I lose, I'll kneel and apologize to you."

The challenge had taken Gao Mu by surprise.

But he was far from scared.

"Agreed!"

Gao Mu nodded.

"You pick someone to ask the questions. If I pick, you'll just accuse me of cheating again."

With that, Gao Mu closed his eyes.

Hee Yue signaled to her deskmate, another girl, to pose the question.

"Page 23, line 5!" she called out, confident in Hee Yue's preparation.

Hee Yue beamed with delight and recited the line flawlessly.

"Now it's your turn," she said coldly to Gao Mu after finishing.

Gao Mu nodded and continued reciting the content seamlessly after Hee Yue's line.

His recitation was flawless and smooth, covering five lines in total—five times what Hee Yue had recited.

Hee Yue paused briefly, signaling the girl to go on.

At that moment, Gao Mu opened his eyes. "Since you're asking someone you're familiar with, may I also choose an acquaintance?"

"Go ahead," Hee Yue said flatly, yet inwardly, she was secretly thrilled. She knew all too well that Gao Mu had no close acquaintances in the class.

With no other option, Gao Mu turned to Liu Guowei, who gave a nod. It was clear that he had initiated the challenge, and it was up to him to see it through.

"Page 13, line 6!" he announced.

The classroom was instantly filled with the sound of pages turning. Everyone was taken aback upon reaching the page.

"Teacher Liu is seriously hardcore!"

"I need to pray for Hee Yue. I hope she can manage to recite it."

Gao Mu frantically searched his mind for the content of the page. Once he found it, he was astounded. Without a solid understanding, there was no way he could commit it to memory.
