C201 Meeting Tian Meihui Let's Go to Haorui Together

"Please slow down; the campus is crowded."

The security guard at the gate cautioned Lin Dong with care.

"Thank you."

Lin Dong nodded, rolled up his car window, and drove onto the campus.

The security guard watched the Rolls Royce Cullinan disappear into the distance with envy before resuming his post. Such luxury cars were merely a dream for him, forever out of reach.

Lin Dong made his way to the parking lot.

As he drove, students and teachers alike turned their heads in astonishment at the sight of his car. The emblem of the flying lady was universally recognized, known even to middle schoolers.

The latest Rolls Royce Cullinan was the pinnacle of luxury, combining sportiness with opulence in a way that demanded attention.

Lin Dong had to speed up to reach the parking lot, where he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn't anticipated the Cullinan drawing more stares than the Pagani Huayran; had he known, he would've chosen the Pagani instead.

Just then, a red Volkswagen Beetle approached.

Lin Dong felt a slight pang in his heart at the sight. Wasn't that Zhang Xinrui's car?

He hadn't expected to run into her here and was unsure how to react if she noticed him.

Indeed, Zhang Xinrui was behind the wheel of the Beetle. Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, complementing her sleek black dress.

She had planned to park in the lot but was taken aback upon encountering the Rolls Royce Cullinan at the entrance. The luxury brand was leagues beyond her Volkswagen Beetle in value.

Zhang Xinrui cautiously halted her car, hesitant to pass by.

Her family was wealthy, but not to the extent of disregarding a Rolls Royce.

Inside his car, Lin Dong noticed her hesitation and decided to drive ahead.

He found an empty spot and parked.

Once Zhang Xinrui saw the Cullinan parked, she proceeded to find a space for her Beetle.

After parking, she gazed in the direction of the Cullinan, curious about the identity of its owner.

This was purely a case of a girl's curiosity getting the better of her.

After all, in Jiangyang, there were only a handful of people who could afford such a multimillion-dollar luxury car!

Lin Dong sat in the car, not daring to get out.

What if he was confronted by Zhang Xinrui upon exiting?

She was not someone to be taken lightly, and Lin Dong was intent on keeping things low-key, not wanting to draw too much attention.

Zhang Xinrui waited for quite some time but didn't see the owner of the Rolls Royce Cullinan disembark. Growing impatient, she closed her car door and stepped out, heading toward the parking lot exit.

Zhang Xinrui walked past the front, noticing the driver's head was bowed. She found it odd. Was the driver really that shy?

She smiled to herself, attributing it to her allure.

Lin Dong breathed a sigh of relief.

Once Zhang Xinrui was a safe distance away, he got out of the car and made his way to the hospital.

By the time he arrived, Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu had already helped Tian Chao pack up his belongings, which were nothing more than slippers and personal items.

The cast on Tian Chao's leg had been removed, and he could walk without any issues.

Upon seeing Lin Dong, Tian Chao playfully punched him and said, "What took you so long? You owe me an extra beer for the wait!"

"Deal, no problem. Old Tian, you've put on a bit of weight recovering these past few days. Better slim down, or Little Sister Meng Bao might not give you a second glance," Lin Dong replied with a chuckle.

"Look at Old Tian, picking up girls!"

"Nice one! Even from your hospital bed, you're charming the ladies. You've got to teach me your ways!"

Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu joined in, teasing and laughing.

Tian Chao offered a modest smile and said, "Not at all, nothing's set in stone yet. But we're meeting up in a few days, so we'll see how it goes then! I'll share the wisdom with you all once it's a sure thing!"

"Damn!"

Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu both flipped him off in response!

Tian Chao, still grinning, said, "I owe it all to Lin Dong. If he hadn't played that game for me, I never would've gotten to chat with little sister Meng Bao. Hehe, you guys should be asking him for help!"

"Lin can actually play games?"

Liu Wenming looked at Lin Dong, clearly astonished.

Zhou Hengyu chimed in, "Since when can Lin Dong play games? He never plays, and when he does, he's always holding us back. Tian, are you sure you're not making this up?"

"Cross my heart!"

Tian Chao's enthusiasm soared when he talked about Lin Dong.

He slung an arm around Lin Dong's shoulder and said with excitement, "You guys have no idea. That day, Lin took Liu Chan and wiped out the opposing team's five-man golden squad! It was spectacular. Houyi couldn't even keep up, and King Lanling had it worse, thinking he could take Lin down when he was low on health. But Lin turned the tables with a counter-combo, taking him out several times! It was incredibly satisfying!"

"Seriously?"

"You're telling us Lin took down King Lanling multiple times with Liu Chan?"

Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu were skeptical.

Without missing a beat, Tian Chao whipped out his phone and pulled up the battle report from that day.

Sure enough, there was Liu Chan, dominating the VIP list.

Seeing that it was indeed Tian Chao's account, Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu finally believed it.

They all gave Lin Dong an approving thumbs up.

"Way to go, Dong!"

"I had no idea you were this badass!"

"On the outside, you seem like Captain America who can't even lift his hammer, but secretly you've been perfecting your moves against Thanos all along!"

"You're incredible! You've got to show us the ropes sometime!"

"Exactly, you can't just help Tian with the ladies and leave us out. You've got to spread the wealth!"

Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu were at it again, teasing and making a ruckus.

They were green with envy that Tian Chao had managed to connect with a girl who was into gaming, and they both badgered Lin Dong, hoping he'd lend them a hand too.

Shoving Tian Chao's arm away, Lin Dong said, "Old Tian's really talking me up. Finding her was a stroke of luck, but I'm always happy to give my buddies some pointers. Just remember, there's usually a fee for my expertise."

"What? You're charging us, brother?"

"Yeah, get him!"

Zhou Hengyu and Liu Wenming yelled in unison, playfully lunging at Lin Dong.

With ease, Lin Dong caught their arms, halting their advance, and said, "Okay, okay, I'll teach you guys—for free!"

"Now you're talking! Hahaha!"

Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu backed off.

Rubbing his arm, Zhou Hengyu remarked, "Lin, you've got quite the grip. I felt like my wrist was in a vice just now."

Lin Dong's heart raced, but he laughed it off, "Make excuses if you must, but from now on, we're keeping an eye on you—no more hiding in the bathroom to record."

Zhou Hengyu responded by flipping Lin Dong the bird.

Swatting away his hand, Lin Dong said, "Enough with the jokes. Let's head out. Tonight, I'm treating everyone to a night on the town to celebrate Old Tian's smooth discharge!"

"Awesome!"

The three friends cheered, raising their hands in excitement.

Together, they left the hospital.

Just outside, Lin Dong caught sight of a man and woman approaching.

One of them was a familiar face—the renowned hype woman, Tian Meihui!

The man at her side was chatting her up, laughing occasionally, but Tian Meihui seemed distracted, responding half-heartedly.

Suddenly, the man reached for Tian Meihui's hand. She recoiled as if startled, quickly stepping away and inadvertently crashing into Lin Dong's embrace.

"Hey, watch out. Are you okay?" Lin Dong steadied Tian Meihui.

Startled, Tian Meihui looked up and, upon recognizing Lin Dong, her eyes sparkled with recognition.

She straightened up and asked, "Lin Dong, what brings you here?"

Lin Dong gestured towards Tian Chao and replied, "My roommate just got out of the hospital. We're planning to celebrate and are currently waiting for a ride."

"A celebration?"

Tian Meihui's eyes sparkled. She quickly waved her hand and exclaimed, "Perfect! Let's all head to Haorui KTV later. I've got a membership card. We can all celebrate together, and it's on me!"
