"Haorui KTV?"

Lin Dong gave Tian Meihui a puzzled look.

He had been planning to take Tian Chao, Zhou Hengyu, and Liu Wenming to Haorui KTV for some fun.

After all, it was his establishment.

It was meant to be a chance for his buddies to unwind.

Unexpectedly, at the hospital entrance, he ran into Tian Meihui, who out of the blue suggested they all head to Haorui together, her treat.

Lin Dong wondered to himself. Was he really that close with Tian Meihui?

Yet Tian Meihui was eager to explain, "Absolutely! Haorui is a renowned KTV spot in Jiangyang City. They've been revamping internally these past couple of days, offering discounts to draw in customers. Going now is like getting a steal! Since we're all friends here, let's go together and consider it a celebration for your pals."

She spoke with a generous air.

Tian Chao, Liu Wenming, and Zhou Hengyu, trailing behind Lin Dong, were clearly tempted.

"I've heard about Haorui KTV," Liu Wenming chimed in. "It's a place for the wealthy, where a single visit can cost upwards of three to five thousand yuan!"

"Wow, that's pricey. My entire allowance wouldn't cover one outing there!" Tian Chao added, astonished.

Zhou Hengyu nodded in agreement. Coming from modest backgrounds, a three-thousand-yuan expense was daunting for them.

Lin Dong, however, remained unfazed.

Haorui KTV was his own venture, and even if it weren't, his substantial cash reserves, amounting to billions, allowed him to spend freely.

Tian Meihui then smiled and said, "The promotions make it much more affordable, a thousand gets you double the value. Plus, I have a friend's relative who's a manager there, who can give me a 30% off card. It'll only cost a few hundred yuan."

As she spoke, she was ostensibly addressing Liu Wenming and the others, but her gaze was fixed on Lin Dong.

Tian Meihui was well aware that Lin Dong drove a Pagani Huayran and was worth at least ten million.

A mere thousand yuan was nothing to him.

This encounter was somewhat problematic for her; a man had been relentlessly pursuing her, eager to take her out on a date.

She was incredibly frustrated and couldn't shake him off.

By chance, she ran into Lin Dong and his friends and planned to use the opportunity to ditch the persistent suitor.

But Lin Dong was unaware of her intentions.

He suggested, "That might not be right, considering Tian Chao is my roommate. But I have to admit, your situation has piqued my interest. How about I treat you and your friend to join us?"

Lin Dong offered with a smile.

"That works, but he's not my friend, so he doesn't need to come along."

Tian Meihui accepted Lin Dong's proposal.

For someone like Lin Dong, who could easily afford a multimillion-dollar sports car, a few hundred dollars was a mere trifle.

Yet, she made it clear to Lin Dong that the man beside her was neither a close friend nor her boyfriend.

Lin Dong cast a surprised glance at the young man standing next to them.

Dressed in Adidas with Jordan shoes, the young man certainly looked affluent.

He regarded Lin Dong with a wary expression but gazed at Tian Meihui with tenderness. It was as if the words "hopeless devotee" were written across his forehead.

Lin Dong remained noncommittal.

The young man, however, was quick to assert himself.

He exclaimed, "Meihui! Why should you pay? There's no need for anyone else to foot the bill either. If we're all going out, I'll take care of it! I have connections at Haorui KTV; I can get us in for free!"

He spoke with an air of magnanimity.

Lin Dong raised an eyebrow.

He retorted, "Oh, so you have connections. But even with relatives, it can't be free, right? Aren't you worried about the boss finding out and dealing with your relative?"

Liu Wenming, Tian Chao, Zhou Hengyu, and Tian Meihui all agreed.

They thought Lin Dong made a valid point.

The young man tilted his chin up proudly and boasted, "You're all out of the loop! Haorui KTV has a new owner who's a complete fool and doesn't bother with the business! The management has just undergone a shake-up and isn't concerned with the staff for now. My relative just happens to manage the inventory of beverages. Whatever you want to drink or eat, I can have it delivered with just a word!"

"That's incredible!"

"Bro, you're the man!"

"Now we can really party! Haha!"

Tian Chao and his three buddies were overjoyed.

But Lin Dong looked upset.

After all, no one feels good about being called an idiot to their face!
