Lin Dong drove back to campus, parking his car in the lot. The sky was already dimming to dusk, and his arrival went unnoticed amidst the quiet evening. With his phone in tow, he headed for the dormitory.

Bang! The door hit the wall and rebounded, startling his roommates mid-game. They turned, faces filled with shock, but relaxed upon seeing Lin Dong.

"Dude, Lin, it's you! I thought it was Instructor Yang with all that noise!" Liu Tianming exclaimed.

Tian Chao and Zhou Hengyu also relaxed. They had feared it was their formidable counselor, Yang Zitan, known for her legendary presence and assertive nature. Her visits were seldom for pleasant reasons.

"Do you guys really think Instructor Yang would come back to this pigsty?" Lin Dong joked, closing the door behind him.

Tian Chao rolled his eyes, "As if you don't live in this pigsty too!"

"And where have you been all afternoon? We couldn't find you anywhere," added Zhou Hengyu, clearly annoyed at Lin Dong's absence.

Lin Dong flashed the bag in his hand and said, "I went out to get a new phone. My old one has finally bitten the dust. Plus, I noticed your phones were getting pretty outdated too, so I picked up new ones for you guys as well."

Liu Wenming, Tian Chao, and Zhou Hengyu all whipped around to look at Lin Dong.

Lin Dong coolly pulled out the brand-new phones from his bag, arranging them in a neat row.
