C85 After He Completed His Visit the Skyfire Motorcycle Club Called
Lin Dong hummed a tune as he dialed Liu Wenming's number.
With Lin Ruobing's ID in hand, she was bound to come back looking for it.
Without it, she'd be unable to do many things.
Lin Dong planned to wait in the same spot after he came out, ready to confront Lin Ruobing. He'd use the ID card to leverage an apology from her.
And it had to be a sincere apology, delivered loudly!
If she remained aloof and posed, Lin Dong was resolved to just give her back the ID.
"Hey! Lin, have you arrived?"
Liu Wenming's voice came through.
Lin Dong grunted in acknowledgment and asked, "Which building are you in? How's Old Tian doing?"
"We're in building three, marked 'Inpatient Department.' Room 406 on the fourth floor," Liu Wenming informed him.
"Got it," Lin Dong replied before ending the call.
He decided to pick up some food and drinks before heading in, guessing that Tian Chao was likely admitted and hadn't arranged for any sustenance. Bringing something would ensure they had something to stave off hunger.
After shopping, Lin Dong made his way to the inpatient department.
Upon reaching room 406, he found Tian Chao lying in bed with his leg suspended.
The ward had three beds, but the other two were unoccupied.
Liu Wenming and Zhou Hengyu were there, keeping Tian Chao company, along with two members of the White Team who had helped bring Tian Chao in.
As Lin Dong arrived, the two team members were just saying their goodbyes.
"How's the leg?" Lin Dong asked as he entered, carrying the items.
Hearing Lin Dong's voice, the others stood up.
"The doctor diagnosed him with minor bone fractures. He needs to rest and avoid any intense activities," Zhou Hengyu explained.
Lin Dong's brow furrowed.
He set down the food and drinks, turning to Tian Chao. "We won't forget this. Heal up, and we'll settle the score with Jiang Cheng later."
Tian Chao tugged at him, eager to speak. "Sit down. Tell me how you dominated Jiang Cheng and his crew on the field."
Liu Wenming chimed in, "Tian Chao was just showing us the footage from the match. You demolished Jiang Cheng's team! They were utterly defeated with a score of seventy to zero! Even Coach Liu Jinbo was singing your praises!"
"Yeah, Coach Liu Jinbo is a former national soccer player—quite the talent!" Tian Chao's eyes widened with excitement. "He's confident in your soccer skills. You must be really good, man. You had me fooled! Next time there's a game, I'm definitely getting you on the field!"
Lin Dong replied bluntly, "I just kick around for fun. I'm not interested in competing. It's not my thing."
"You're wasting such a gift! If I hadn't wanted to swindle some money from Jiang Cheng, I wouldn't have ended up in the hospital. Once the swelling goes down, I'm heading straight back to the field!" Tian Chao lamented.
Lin Dong tossed an apple to him, saying, "Football is your passion, but for me, it's just a casual pastime. They're not the same. Eat up, we'll talk about this later."
Tian Chao fell silent, clearly disappointed that Lin Dong wasn't interested in playing soccer.
After the two teammates had left, Liu Wenming spoke up, "We can't all stay here. Someone should keep an eye on Old Tian, and the rest of us should head back. We can just take time off when needed."
Zhou Hengyu volunteered, "I'll stay for now. I've got a gaming session planned for tonight."
"Alright then, Liu, let's head back. We'll come by to relieve you tomorrow," Lin Dong suggested.
"No way, I'm not leaving yet. I want to hang out here for a bit. You can't have a gaming session without me!" Liu Wenming's eyes sparkled at the mention of the game.
Lin Dong didn't insist on him leaving. Games didn't pique his interest much, especially since he was expecting to meet with the female rider for an apology later on.
So, he took his leave. But as soon as he stepped out of the ward, his phone rang with an unfamiliar number. Lin Dong answered, and a chilly female voice on the other end said, "Hello, are you our new boss? Please come to the Skyfire Motorcycle Club."
