I called Hai Zhu and quickly got through.

"Ah Zhu, are you up yet?" I asked Hai Zhu.

"I'm up — I'm up, cleaning your place, waiting for you to bring back breakfast!" Hai Zhu's voice sounded very energetic on the phone.
