When the boat came ashore, it didn't head straight for the center of the river. Instead, it headed upstream, right next to us.

We sat in the cabin and watched the bare mountains and low squares on the other side.

Not far ahead, an island appeared in the middle of the river. On the island, there were rows and rows of Korean style villas.
