C10 You Are Thinking too Much!

Luo Qian chuckled as he offered an explanation.

"This young lady here is Yunfei. She seems to have a bit of a balance issue. She frequently falls down without any apparent reason, which has been quite the headache for the Lady Boss."

"Just falling down?"

"Exactly, which limits what she can do around here."

Zhang Hai's eyes sparkled with interest.

He approached the Lady Boss with a grin.

"Lady Boss, is this waitress for sale?"

"Selling? You're barking up the wrong tree. She doesn't belong to me; she's just employed here. In fact, she's a free individual. So it's really up to her whether she's willing to be 'sold' to you."

Upon hearing this, Yunfei quickly shook her head.

"I'm not for sale! Don't even think about doing anything weird to me."

Zhang Hai's mouth twitched in annoyance, feeling as though his taste had been insulted.

"Miss, you've got the wrong idea. I have zero interest in someone as flat as you. If I had to choose, the Lady Boss here would be more to my liking."

The Lady Boss's eyes crinkled into crescents, her look at Zhang Hai filled with intrigue.

"Handsome, you've got quite the eye. How about we go inside and have a deep conversation about life, maybe explore the intricacies of biology?"

The crowd gave Zhang Hai looks that could kill.

The last time she made such an offer, the poor guy involved still hadn't recovered. It was anyone's guess what he went through.

Feeling the weight of everyone's stares, Zhang Hai grew uneasy.

Luo Qian leaned in and whispered something shocking into his ear.

Zhang Hai hadn't anticipated such a bombshell.

"Money, are you badmouthing me behind my back? Maybe you'd like to join me for a life chat?"

Luo Qian, terrified, didn't dare respond, shivering like a frightened quail.

Zhang Hai decided not to pursue the matter. After all, he was merely inhabiting this warrior's body, which came without any bizarre features.

"Look, what I meant was, would you be interested in working on my ship? Think of it as an employment opportunity."

The boss's frown deepened.

She had seen what was going on.

Who knows what might happen aboard his ship?

The boss lady's eyes sparkled with excitement. If this pest turned out to be formidable, it would indeed be a cause for celebration.

"Yunfei, why the hesitation? If he doesn't take you in today, you'll end up begging on the streets."

"But the warship is full of men. I'm scared of them," Yunfei admitted.

Zhang Hai quickly reassured her, "Don't worry, it's just me on my side. Now, aside from this middle-aged man, it's only you."

Yunfei was taken aback, not expecting so few people aboard a warship.

However, operating a warship only required one person. Others would be needed for a Beach Invasion.

The boss lady had no qualms about speaking her mind. It all boiled down to one thing: working there was Yunfei's biggest stroke of luck.

She didn't bother with the details.

After some thought, realizing she had nowhere else to go, she accepted the offer. The salary was set at fifty Refinement Crystals a month.

Her job was simply to clean; she didn't need to concern herself with anything else.

With the deal done, Heidi followed him onto the escalator.

Zhang Hai extended his hand to help her.

But he inadvertently caught a glimpse of something he shouldn't have from her neckline.

He thought to himself how wonderful the world was, devoid of any double-barreled nonsense.

Yunfei was oblivious to his diverted attention.

She reached for his hand, but suddenly slipped.

Instinctively grabbing onto something, she let out a scream as she tumbled to the ground.

She felt as if the world had forsaken her.

Luo Qian turned just in time to see a flash of white below Zhang Hai's waist.

He nearly burst into laughter, his mouth twitching in amusement.

Zhang Hai's face flushed with embarrassment.

He had been unexpectedly ambushed by a woman.

That's when he remembered the utility of a belt.

Yunfei looked up and caught sight of something she shouldn't have.

Her face turned a deep shade of red, extending all the way to her neck.

Zhang Hai hastily hitched up his pants and glared at her with a fierce scowl.

"This incident stays between us," he warned.

Yunfei nodded vigorously, worried that he might retaliate by making life difficult for her.

As for the middle-aged man, he wasn't worth the trouble. If he dared to speak out of turn, well, the sea wouldn't mind having an extra meal.

"Luo Qian, what's the strength of the Wong family like?"

"The Wong family? Well, let's see. Here at Blue Flying Free Port, they're top of the list."

"If we combine the other families, they might stand a chance against them."

Zhang Hai felt a pang of anxiety, suspecting he might not recover his money.

"Do you know how many warships they have?"

"Several hundred, but I'm not sure of the exact number. Captain, why do you ask?"

"Oh, it's nothing. I just want to settle a debt with them."

Now Luo Qian got it, but he just shook his head.

"Captain, I wouldn't entertain that thought. The Wong family isn't easy to provoke. Collecting that debt is a no-go."

At that moment, Yunfei, hesitating as she brushed back her dark hair, chimed in.

"Captain, if you're after Refinement Crystals, you might want to check out the Specter Squadron."

"What's that?"

Yunfei briefly shared the rumors she'd heard. Apparently, a mysterious squadron had been spotted two thousand miles to the southeast, rumored to be loaded with Refinement Crystals. Securing those could make someone as wealthy as a nation.

Zhang Hai, too broke to even buy a Magic Cannon, was clearly intrigued.

"Alright, let's set a course for that squadron."

As the group boarded the grimy warship, it became clear why he was so keen on hiring housekeepers.

The warship set off toward its destination. That day, he truly grasped the Lady Boss's plight. She had taken countless tumbles even on flat surfaces. In battle, they might have no choice but to strap her down.

Thankfully, the interior of the warship had been mostly cleaned up.

"Ding! Nether Energy Module detected. Captain, please collect it."

"Hmm? Nether Energy Module? What's that?"

"Simply put, it's a unique piece of equipment for the ship. Each Nether Energy Module has its own distinct effect."

"What's this one about?"

"I'm not sure. We'll only know its capabilities after it's installed."

Who wouldn't want such a sophisticated item?

"Charge!"

The Barbarian Blood Warship surged forward at top speed.

Yet, as he neared his destination, he was stunned to discover that the vessel ahead, which seemed to be a match for the Ghost Ship, was encircled by hundreds of warships.

If he were to charge in blindly, he couldn't even begin to imagine the consequences of being targeted by the collective firepower.

The sudden emergence of this Barbarian Blood Warship barely registered amidst the chaos.

At this point, the surrounding fleets were already at each other's throats over the ghost ship, red-faced and on the verge of conflict.

Zhang Hai was practically drooling at the prospect; he sensed a fortune in the making.

With this many warships, even without grinding for experience, the number was staggering.
