C19 Cadaver
I slipped under his crotch, and before he could react, I stuck two sticks into the bed. I used all my strength in both hands to pull the axe out of the ground, and just as he was about to pounce on me.
He swung the axe straight at his chest. He stopped and retreated a few steps, but my hand was also numb from the vibrations.
When I let go of him, the axe fell off from my hand and embedded itself into his chest. What surprised me even more was that he didn't even bleed at all.
He was not human at all, so what the hell was he?
Pepsi struggled to his feet, and while the monster was pulling the axe from his chest, I gestured to him. He continued to lie on the ground, pretending to be dead.
As expected, the monster only had eyes for me. I leaned against the wall and assumed a defensive posture. He directly smashed his fist on my wrist. It felt as though both of his hands were about to be broken from crossing each other.
Fortunately, this pain disappeared very quickly. Zhou Ling had been healing me and had also allowed me to remain calm.
I was calm, just wet with sweat.
His fist didn't stop, I didn't have time to catch my breath, his left hand was already closing in on my hands, and he punched me hard on the wrist, as if he could hear the sound of bones breaking.
I didn't have time to feel the pain. I grabbed his left hand in a backhand movement, and when his right hand came at me, I grabbed with my other hand.
When Pepsi saw this, he immediately got up from the ground. He leaped and hugged the monster's head, covering its eyes with his hands.
I could feel his strength lessening, and when he tried to break free of my grasp, I gripped him tightly and threw my body back, or my whole body would have been pulled away.
Pepsi lay on his neck and gave him a good beating at his temple, but it was useless. Even I felt a little anxious when I looked at him. Where was his weakness? Did he have to chop off his head?
I couldn't hold on any longer, and as soon as I let go of his hand, he went to grab the Pepsi. Before he could throw it, Pepsi took off his mask.
I saw a lifeless eye, a man I had never seen in the village, and what frightened me most was the stitches in his mouth.
I don't know what to do, it's just like this, the other side is completely invincible, Pepsi is still shouting for reinforcements on the ground, but I don't think even ten of us won't be his match.
How could I be so stupid? From the start, I treated him as a single person, so I didn't use any talismans. But now that I have confirmed that he isn't a single person, why don't I try it out?
While his attention was still focused on the shouting Parade, I pulled out a talisman and bit my finger. I smeared the blood on the talisman, and as I stuck it on him, it quickly caught fire.
But the only thing that caught fire was the symbol
What was going on! If he wasn't a human, then the talisman should have some effect on him. Could it be that he also wasn't the transformed body of an evil spirit?
After wasting a talisman, I felt even more helpless. I burned off the clothes on his back and saw that his back was also sewn back together.
I was completely confused as to what kind of monster it was that I had never met before.
Because of what I had just done, he turned to me again, and his fist landed on my ear, and I felt the whole wall shake.
"All Things Comprehension! Do you even know what the f * ck this is! " I screamed at the top of my lungs. What the hell did he offend to have a guy like that?
"How the f * ck would I know what guy he is!" I know, why are you in such a sorry state! " He picked up the kerosene lamp beside him and smashed the spittoon onto the monster, but the creature remained unmoved.
"Don't you know how to do all sorts of things! The nickname is bullshit! " I cursed over and over again, dodging the other's attacks.
If I get hit again, even if Zhou Ling heals me, I will at least be crippled.
"I'm only famous in the village. I don't know anything about the things outside the village." In the end, he even took off his shoes and smashed them.
After dodging left and right, I accidentally fell on the bed. I couldn't dodge this fist and it directly landed on my chest. Not only did a few of my ribs break, it was also possible that my body was pierced through.
I closed my eyes, but the punch did not land on my chest. I opened my eyes and saw a stick of wine (a vessel for pouring wine) lying across my face, blocking my fist.
"I'll look for you at Old Li's house. He said that you came here and that there's a group of living dead people standing outside. I knew that the situation wasn't right but I never expected that my guess was right." I looked at the drunkard who was standing to one side, blocking the attack of the so-called living dead with a wine-stick, and then drinking again. He didn't seem to be afraid at all.
I asked him what the hell was going on, and he pulled the monster's hand away and said he didn't know which of the puppeteers had done it.
"This Corpse Puppet Master's cultivation isn't that high, he can only let one corpse move. The other Corpse Puppet downstairs are just for decoration." It was only after what he said that I understood why he had come up through the front door unharmed, because he had not been attacked at all.
"Then do you know how to deal with this thing?"
What I am most concerned about is this. I don't know how to deal with him, so what if I can beat him? Even if he is a corpse puppet, he is still a living corpse.
"Of course there is. It's just too difficult for you." He smiled at me, then took the winepress, fending off the monster's hand and quickly slicing open his mouth with the handle.
The monster suddenly opened its mouth. The alcoholic reached his hand into it and pulled out something. Then, the monster just stood there in a daze and stopped moving.
It's such a f * cking simple matter, but we almost got him to beat us to death just now!
After finding out it was safe, Pepsi immediately became spirited again. He pointed at the monster's nose and started swearing. Weren't you the one that f * cking wanted to kill me just now? Wasn't that awesome? Why did he stop moving?
He kicked down the monster, but as the monster was too heavy, he himself fell to the ground.
The three of us walked out of the main entrance. Only then did I clearly see that the five people who were standing downstairs were actually fake.
When I asked the drunk if he could find out who it was, he shook his head and said he didn't know, but sooner or later they would fight again.
After returning to Uncle Li's house, Pepsi temporarily stayed at the old Village Head's house. Although he would be taught for half an hour, he had nowhere else to go besides the old Village Head's house.
The drunkard told me he was going back to Pure Heart Monastery to get something and check on the old Taoist.
I have no idea what the relationship between the drunkard and the old Taoist is. The old Taoist looks rather old, but he's actually only in his thirties. He's actually rude to the point of calling him an elder and the Taoist affectionately calls him his old playmate.
He told me to guess, not just tell me, I said they were apprenticeships, and he shook his head, saying they had different teachers.
When I said 'friends', he said 'friends', our relationship was even more wonderful. I couldn't be bothered to care about what he said, I just didn't want to say it.
During dinner time, Ah Tong and Sis Li had a good chat. She had a suggestion, which was to let Ah Tong stay and be her son, so that her child would have an elder brother. I didn't mind, since this brat would follow me, except eating and eating.
Uncle Li told me that another strange thing had happened today. All of the fish in the Luosong family's pond had actually died.
They were all dead. What was going on?
Uncle Li said that he did not know what was going on. Anyway, he had heard others say that all the fish were floating on the pond with their bellies turned white. It was a heartbreaking scene to watch.
After dinner, he stood in front of the house and was lost in thought. The things that happened these days were things that I had never seen before in my life. There were too many unknowns in this world.
Zhou Ling appeared by my side. She asked me if I could still feel the pain from her wound, and I shook my head. The healing feeling from the wounds on my body was a lot faster than before.
I thanked her, and she nestled against my shoulder as if I could feel it.
