C11 Divine Treasury System

In the classroom, the students took their seats once again. A conversation between Luo Yan and Lo Beichen was taking place, and they had begun to suspect that the issue involving Chen Yongsong might be closely connected to Lo Beichen. Lo Beichen had even used the situation to provoke and manipulate them, which caused them to regard him with visible anger. However, Lo Beichen was indifferent to their resentment. His focus was on how to eliminate Luo Yan.

At the front of the room, Wai Fenghua gave Luo Yan a meaningful glance. Clearing his throat, he addressed Xiao Shi, "Teacher Xiao, I'll leave the rest to you." Xiao Shi, who had an unassuming appearance yet exuded an academic vibe, responded with a smile and a nod.

Once Wai Fenghua had exited the classroom, the youthful teacher cleared his throat with a soft cough and greeted the class with a smile. "Hello, everyone. My name is Xiao Shi, and I'm here to teach you a lesson on general knowledge. The aim of this course is to deepen your understanding of phenomena such as the 'Heavenly Beast Calamity,' the Floating Space, and the meditating and thinking skill."

With that introduction, Xiao Shi began working on the computer at the podium. A screen descended from the blackboard, and the classroom windows shut one after another. As the room darkened, an image was projected onto the screen—a photograph of a colossal beast encased in ice. "This is the first discovered carcass of a giant beast from half a century ago, which we refer to as 'Specimen Zero.' Specimen Zero was found in a polar region, and its discovery sent shockwaves through the archaeological community. After analyzing its age with modern technology, we've come to the conclusion that Specimen Zero predates the dinosaurs. But if it were just that, it would merely be an archaeological 'feast.'"

Xiao Shi then switched to several other photos, revealing a massive cavern. "At the site where Specimen Zero was uncovered, a national archaeological team decided to excavate further in hopes of finding more giant beast remains. Unexpectedly, they unearthed the gateway to another 'world.' It was in this 'world' that we found many things, including the meditating and thinking skill. Due to time constraints, we will also discuss other aspects of this 'world,' such as the 'Heavenly Beast Calamity' and the Floating Space, in our knowledge session."

"I'll be discussing this with everyone in upcoming classes."

"Next, I'm going to delve into the 'meditating and thinking skill'."

Xiao Shi pressed a key on his keyboard, and a new image appeared on the projection screen.

Displayed were various stone slabs, steles, and dusty ancient tomes.

"These are some of the treasures we found in that 'world', and they represent the foundational forms of the 'meditating and thinking skill' that you have been, or will be, learning."

"The meditating and thinking skill can unlock human potential, transform our physical constitution, and allow us to harness an energy known as 'elementary force'."

"We measure this energy in 'even' units to gauge its intensity."

"Furthermore, we can channel this energy to manifest specific 'abilities'."

"We'll cover that in more detail later."

Xiao Shi switched off the projector and opened the windows.

He looked at the students with a smile.

"Let's return to the 'meditating and thinking skill'."

"Most of you are aware that learning this skill must be approached gradually."

"Beginners to the 'meditating and thinking skill' must practice a foundational technique called the 'Element Building Spell'."

"It stimulates the latent potential within the human body, awakening the 'elementary force' within us."

"As it flows through our limbs and body, upon completion of the practice, the elementary force will break through the 'Heavenly Spirit'."

"Then, we become attuned to the elementary force of the universe."

"This marks the transition to the next phase, the cultivation of 'opening the acupoints'."

Xiao Shi said, casting a meaningful glance at Luo Yan.

"Upon perfecting the Element Building Spell and opening the 'Heavenly Spirit', one also awakens the 'Divine Treasury' within."

"Spirit refers to both our consciousness and our soul."

"Treasury, in this context, means a cache of valuables."

"The 'Divine Treasury' is thus the cache of treasures within our soul."

"You can think of it as 'innate talent'."

"Each person is born with unique talents, but without seeking and nurturing them, they may remain dormant until death."

"However, opening the 'Heavenly Spirit' acupoint also unlocks the 'treasure' hidden deep within your soul."

After a brief pause, Xiao Shi turned around and began writing several terms on the blackboard: Super Awareness! Super Body! Mimicry! Nature! Mystery! He faced the class again with a smile and explained, "These are the categories we've identified for the 'Divine Treasury' after extensive collection, analysis, and classification."

At that moment, a student raised a hand. "Teacher, I have a question. Why do mech pilots need to practice the 'meditating and thinking skill'? Shouldn't we focus more on operating the mechs?"

Xiao Shi nodded in approval. "You've raised an excellent point. I intended to discuss this later, but since you've brought it up, I'll address it now. Pilots learn the 'meditating and thinking skill' because of the mechs' 'Synesthesia System.' This system enables a neural connection between the mech and its pilot, allowing the mech to move in response to the pilot's intentions. Think of a mech as an extension of your body; your brain issues a command, and through the 'Synesthesia System,' the movement is synchronized."

He continued, "Moreover, the 'Synesthesia System' has an even more crucial function. It can reproduce and even amplify the pilot's own strength and abilities. The stronger you are and the more skills you possess, the more powerfully these can be expressed through the mech, often exceeding your wildest expectations."

Xiao Shi offered a knowing smile. "You can think of a mech as a 'weapon' that, in the hands of a more powerful individual, can unleash formidable force. Additionally, Low-rank and Middle-rank beasts can be defeated with conventional weapons like guns, cannons, and missiles. But for High-rank beasts and beyond, only 'elementary force' can penetrate their defenses and deliver a fatal blow. That's why it's essential for pilots to master the 'meditating and thinking skill.'"

Luo Yan experienced an epiphany upon hearing this. He finally understood why, on their return journey, Di Zheng's mech exhibited such astonishing speed and why the warriors had claimed it was Di Zheng channeling his 'Divine Treasury' abilities through the 'Synesthesia System' and the mech.

Having resolved the students' queries, Xiao Shi proceeded to delineate the distinct characteristics of the five types of the Divine Treasury.

Before I knew it, the bell signaling the end of class rang out. Xiao Shi had just wrapped up his explanation of the last 'Divine Treasury' type. He smiled and announced, "That concludes today's lesson. This afternoon, you'll begin your training in the 'meditating and thinking skill.' Shortly, Teacher Wei Fenghua will announce the mentors you've each been assigned. So, I'll see you all next class."

At that moment, a student called out, "Stand up and salute."

"Thank you, Teacher!"

After a ten-minute break following the class, the Director of the Education Bureau, Wei Fenghua, returned. He revealed the mentors each student had been assigned. Luo Yan was taken aback to discover that his mentor was none other than Wei Fenghua himself, and he was the only student under his tutelage—a one-on-one instruction!

Seizing the moment, Wei Fenghua also disclosed the resolution of the incident involving Chen Yongsong from the previous night. The incident was officially classified as an 'accident.' The academy mandated that Luo Yan dismantle all 'traps' in his dormitory to prevent any future tragedies. Additionally, they ramped up security in the dormitory area to safeguard the students.

In conclusion, Luo Yan was penalized by having 20 credits deducted.

As class ended and Luo Yan stepped out of the classroom, Wei Fenghua intercepted him. "Come with me," he said, then strode off, leaving Luo Yan no choice but to follow.

They came to a tranquil pond, where Wei Fenghua got straight to the point. "Did Di Zheng inform you about the Death Arena?" he inquired. "Were you intentionally agitating Luo Beichen, prompting him to challenge the Death Arena?"

Luo Yan didn't conceal the truth and nodded in affirmation. He had pondered the night before—if he had challenged the Death Arena himself, Luo Beichen might not have taken the bait. So he exploited Luo Beichen's temperamental vulnerability by bringing up his 'taboo' topic in public, driving him into a rage and goading him into initiating the Death Arena challenge.

Yet, Luo Yan had actually hoped for Luo Beichen to lash out, providing him the opportunity to 'accidentally' eliminate him in self-defense.

"They never make it easy," Wei Fenghua muttered, shaking his head. He then fixed his gaze on Luo Yan and asked, "Did Di Zheng mention that even if you win in the Death Arena, you'll still lose credits?"

"Yes," Luo Yan answered truthfully.

Wai Fenghua asked, "Even so, you're still willing to fight?"

"Absolutely," Luo Yan responded succinctly.

Wai Fenghua chuckled. "Alright, now I know how to instruct you. Go have lunch, and don't be late this afternoon."

With that, he coughed twice and walked away.

Luo Yan was somewhat taken aback.

He had expected Wai Fenghua to reprimand him or try to stop him.

Turns out, he was simply trying to understand Luo Yan's resolve.

To better decide how to guide him.

"Interesting," Luo Yan muttered to himself.

Following the signs, he made his way to the school cafeteria.

There, he encountered even more students, mostly sophomores and juniors.

Word of Luo Yan's upcoming Death Arena match with Lo Beichen had clearly gotten around.

Upon his arrival, many eyes turned his way, each look carrying its own message.

Luo Yan paid them no mind and headed straight for the food line.

Passing by a table, someone remarked, "Hee Hao, check out the freshman. He's got quite an air about him, doesn't he?"

Hee Hao, who was in the middle of his meal, glanced up and replied gruffly, "Whether he's arrogant or not is none of my concern."

He was a tall, well-built guy with a rugged face and closely cropped hair, exuding a tough-guy vibe. However, the rice scattered across his face gave him a somewhat comical appearance.

His classmate next to him laughed softly, "Didn't your family get pushed around by Commander Di Zheng? You always said you'd make him pay after graduation. Changed your mind?"

Hee Hao slammed his bowl down on the table, "No change. But I have my principles. I don't pick on freshmen. If he actually takes down Lo Beichen, then I might just have to join the game."

A female classmate across the table chimed in, "If he does take down Lo Beichen, I'd suggest you drop the idea. Be careful, or you might just play yourself out of the game."

Hee Hao just grunted and continued eating, ignoring the comment.

Later that afternoon, Luo Yan arrived at the designated training hall where Wai Fenghua was already waiting.

The teacher appeared to be under the weather, as he coughed several times.

He then said, "You've already 'opened your mind', so there's no need to continue with the 'Essence Building Technique'."

"You can move straight on to cultivating the basic meditating and thinking skill."

"There are many methods within the basic meditating and thinking skill, but the one I'm going to teach you is called 'Mountain and Sea Gazing'."
