C3 I Don't Have Any Manners!
In the CEO's office of Ann's Group, five or six security guards with bruised faces glowered at Sun Hao, who lounged in a chair with an air of nonchalance. Dressed in a suit, he had his legs propped up on the desk and sipped tea leisurely, as if he were anything but an outsider.
"Damn it, don't touch Director Ann's cup..." Wang Sheng muttered furiously under his breath upon seeing Sun Hao's brazen demeanor.
It was bad enough that this guy had given them a beating, but now he had the audacity to strut into Director Ann's office as if he owned the place. It was outrageous!
Wang Sheng was tempted to call in reinforcements to toss out Sun Hao, the scoundrel. But he knew all too well that Sun Hao's combat skills were formidable, far beyond what they, as mere security guards, could handle.
And if the situation escalated, it could tarnish the reputation of both Ann's Group and Director Ann.
Unperturbed, Sun Hao smirked and revealed, "You might as well know that Ann's Group's financial woes are the handiwork of our Prosperous Group."
"Director Ann can reclaim that fifty million, but only if she serves me for one night. So... if she's mine, what's a mere cup?"
With those words, Sun Hao, perhaps unintentionally, licked the rim of the cup and closed his eyes, savoring the moment with a look of deep satisfaction.
Ann Lan and Sun Lili had just arrived and overheard this exchange. They both shuddered, their expressions darkening.
Before Ann Lan could react, Sun Lili stormed into the office, seized a chair, and hurled it at Sun Hao.
"I'll kill you, you slimy toad!"
Sun Hao's eyes snapped open at the sound of her curse, only to be met with a chair flying straight at him. His reflexes kicked in, and with a swift push against the desk, he and the CEO's chair toppled to the floor.
Luckily, his agility saved him from a nasty fall as he braced himself with his hands, sparing the back of his head.
The chair missed its mark, but Sun Lili, relentless, was already reaching for the ashtray on the desk, intent on finishing the job.
"You stinky wench, you're asking for it!"
With a swift turn, Sun Hao viciously kicked her in the stomach, sending her tumbling to the ground.
He towered over Sun Lili, who clutched her abdomen, her face drained of color, showing not an ounce of sympathy.
"Lili, are you okay?" Ann Lan's heart lurched. She hurried over to Sun Lili, gently helping her to her feet.
Sun Lili, grimacing in pain, couldn't find the words. Yet, to keep Ann Lan from worrying, she managed a weak shake of her head.
"Sun Hao, have you lost all humanity, attacking a woman?" Ann Lan's glare was fierce, her beautiful face twisted with disgust.
"Director Ann, you're being too harsh," Sun Hao retorted, giving Sun Lili a dismissive glance. "Your secretary struck first. I was merely defending myself."
"If I chose to press charges, your secretary would end up behind bars. However, I'm a man who appreciates the finer sex. If Director Ann spends one night with me, I'll consider the incident forgotten."
His eyes roamed over Ann Lan's protruding belly with a mix of brazenness and mockery.
"Director Ann, you claim you've just put on weight, but do you honestly think everyone's that gullible?"
"If you don't willingly spend the night with me, by tomorrow, the whole of A City will know about your premarital pregnancy. And then, holding onto your CEO position might prove quite the challenge."
"Sun Hao, you're despicable! I'll take you down if it's the last thing I do!" Enraged by his taunts, Sun Lili's face blazed with fury.
Ignoring her pain, she was about to charge at him when a strong hand clamped onto her shoulder.
The grip was unyielding, like a vice, and no matter how she struggled, she couldn't escape.
"Lin Chen, let go of me!"
"If I don't take this jerk down today, I swear he'll rue the day he crossed me!"
Sun Lili looked up at the owner of the hand, continuing to fight against the hold.
"Lili, back off!" Ann Lan was seething, yet she remained composed.
Sun Hao had already bested six security guards; Sun Lili, just a girl, charging in would be futile, like throwing an egg against a rock.
Lin Chen, standing off to the side, watched Sun Hao strut around with extreme arrogance. With a quick raise of his eyebrows, he deftly pulled Ann Lan and Sun Lili behind him.
His face carried a touch of nonchalance as he said, "Fighting is a man's affair. What business do you two women have getting involved?"
"Moreover, in this day and age, we should handle problems civilly. Resorting to violence at the drop of a hat is simply uncouth."
"A wise man knows how to adapt. It seems Ann's Group does have some intelligent people..." Sun Hao was smug, but before he could finish his thought, a palm unexpectedly struck his face.
"Bang! Ahhhh!"
Sun Hao stumbled backward, finally crashing into the corner of a table, which was inconveniently at the same height as his groin.
The aftermath was as painful as one could imagine.
The office erupted with screams akin to a pig being butchered.
Witnessing this, Lin Chen casually took a small black pill from his pocket and discreetly tossed it into Sun Hao's mouth.
Though his marriage to Ann Lan was a sham, she was still his wife in name.
How could he stand by while she was insulted?
Ann Lan's eyes widened with surprise at the scene before her. Who knew this guy could fight like that?
Sun Lili and the security guards on the scene couldn't help but grimace. So much for civility and the notion that hitting people was beneath them.
As everyone looked on, bewildered, Lin Chen shrugged and said, "My apologies, I'm not one for manners."
Ann Lan and Sun Lili couldn't contain themselves and burst into laughter.
This guy was outrageously brazen!
Claiming a lack of manners with such boldness!
"Kid, do you have any idea who I am? How dare you lay a hand on me?" Sun Hao clutched his groin, his face twisted with murderous intent.
This brat had not only struck him but had nearly ruined his manhood. This was a debt that demanded a bloody recompense!
"Smack!"
Lin Chen's response was another resounding slap.
Withdrawing his hand, he offered a sly smile and said, "I don't know who you are, but you need to know who I am."
"Who... are... you!" Sun Hao, seething with rage after the consecutive slaps, managed to force out three words through clenched teeth.
"I'm your father."
"Kid, you actually have the nerve to pull one over on me?" Sun Hao's eyes narrowed menacingly as he swiftly drew a short knife from his waist and advanced on Lin Chen.
"Watch out!" Ann Lan's heart lurched at the sight of the gleaming blade.
"Trying to impress with those petty tricks in front of your old man?" Lin Chen scoffed, quickly extending his hands to expertly seize Sun Hao's wrist.
A sickening snap of breaking bones echoed.
"Ahhh!" The excruciating pain elicited another scream from Sun Hao.
"Big bro, can you quit the howling?"
"That sound is worse than pigs getting slaughtered back in our village."
Lin Chen, clearly annoyed, dug at his ears.
With that, he delivered a solid punch to Sun Hao's face.
"Pfft!" A mouthful of blood and two front teeth flew out of Sun Hao's mouth.
"Bro, take my advice. Pay back the money sooner and you can beat it sooner too."
Lin Chen regarded Sun Hao with a touch of sympathy.
Then he nonchalantly took a seat in Ann Lan's executive chair, mimicking Sun Hao's earlier pose with his legs propped up on the desk.
And he had to admit, it was quite the comfortable position.
Sun Hao glanced at his fallen teeth on the floor, realizing he had met his match today.
This kid was a dark horse, a master in disguise. Any further defiance would only lead to more humiliation.
Revenge is a dish best served cold!
Sun Hao hastily pulled out a check from his pocket and scribbled down fifty million.
"Bang!" Lin Chen barely gave the check a look before delivering a swift kick to Sun Hao's calf.
Annoyed, he snapped, "Trying to pass off a scrap of paper as fifty million, are you kidding me?"
"Just so you know, I'm not easily fooled. If I don't see fifty million in cash today, you'll be toothless!"
At those words, Sun Hao nearly choked on his rage.
He couldn't fathom where Ann's Group had found such a bumpkin!
A dimwit who couldn't even recognize a check.
"Cough, cough... That's a check, not just any paper," Sun Lili interjected softly, coughing to get his attention.
"Just get his signature on it, and you can cash it for fifty million at the bank."
A flicker of embarrassment crossed Lin Chen's face, but he remained cool and collected.
"Do you really think I'm clueless about the check? That's laughable. I was just looking for an excuse to boot him out. Anyway, Sun Hao..."
Lin Chen glanced at the battered security guards, eager to steer the conversation elsewhere.
"Considering you roughed up these guys, you ought to cough up a couple hundred thousand yuan each for their medical expenses, don't you think?"
