C62 This Style of Doing Things Was Indeed Very Old Huang!

Subdecanal Hsu naturally had no choice but to acquiesce to Old Man Huang's demands.

Godly Doctor Xia, lacking any semblance of medical ethics and notorious for bullying their hospital's staff, was someone Subdecanal Hsu would gladly watch Old Man Huang smack into oblivion!

"Tell me, who sent you to kill me?"

Moments later, Godly Doctor Xia found himself securely bound to a chair, with Old Man Huang questioning him with a calm demeanor.

"Old Mr. Huang, you've got it all wrong."

"I was commissioned by your family to treat you, not to harm you," Godly Doctor Xia stammered out in his defense.

He was still reeling from the shock that an obscure Lin Chen had managed to heal Old Man Huang.

He would never have believed in such a medical marvel if he hadn't witnessed it himself.

"So, you refuse to talk?"

"Fine, let's see how long you can keep up this act," Old Man Huang huffed, pulling out two Spring Pills from his pocket and shoving them into Godly Doctor Xia's mouth.

"Hiss!"

"Huang, where on earth did you get these pills?"

Lin Chen was taken aback upon seeing the pills.

"Brother, I would've completely forgotten if you hadn't brought it up."

"Let me tell you, I bought these pills for a million from a friend."

"They might not look like much, but their potency is undeniable. They can rejuvenate any man's vitality, young or old."

"If you're interested, I can get you a 20% discount from my friend," Old Man Huang offered with a gleam in his eye.

Indeed, he had purchased these Spring Pills from Wang Sheng and others for just tens of thousands of yuan.

If Lin Chen decided to buy, Old Man Huang stood to make a killing—over seven hundred thousand in profit!

What a lucrative deal.

"A 20% discount? So, I'd have to shell out eight hundred thousand for one pill?"

Lin Chen's face contorted with disbelief. Old Man Huang's greed knew no bounds.

He was still scheming to swindle money from him—utterly shameless.

"Brother, eight hundred thousand is a steal."

"To an outsider, they wouldn't part with it for less than a million!" Old Man Huang tried to persuade Lin Chen with all the earnestness he could muster.

Initially, Lin Chen considered alerting Wang Sheng and the others to sell Old Man Huang two more Spring Pills at the inflated price of seven hundred thousand.

Considering he'd already pocketed a cool fifty million from him, swindling Old Man Huang any further might leave the poor guy without a stitch on his back.

"Old Huang, save your breath and get down to business," Lin Chen advised with a wry smile.

"And just so you know, I personally crafted those Spring Pills. Even that 'friend' of yours? He's on my team."

Old Man Huang's jaw dropped in disbelief.

No way!

Lin Chen, that brazen young rascal, made the Spring Pills?

That explains why he was so curious about their origin the moment he laid eyes on them!

Hold on, does that mean Lin Chen has figured out my scheme to con him?

With that alarming thought, Old Man Huang instinctively guarded his groin, where a little pocket sewn into his underpants safeguarded the tidy sum he'd made from peddling Spring Pills.

Lin Chen better not catch wind of that cash. Given his sly nature, he could swindle it away in the blink of an eye!

"Stop fussing over it. That couple hundred thousand in your account? It's peanuts to me," Lin Chen said dismissively, casting a sidelong glance at Old Man Huang.

"Especially now that I'm sitting on a billionaire's fortune."

Old Huang's faith in him was disappointingly low.

"Hiss!"

"Bro, you don't have some kind of x-ray vision, do you?"

"How on earth do you know exactly how much is in there when I've hidden it so carefully?"

Old Man Huang was a mix of awe and terror as he stared at Lin Chen.

What was this guy? Some kind of fiend who could see right through him, down to the last penny?

Lin Chen almost retorted, "You're the one with x-ray vision, aren't you?"

How else would Old Huang guess he had the Magical Third Eye?

"Focus on the job at hand."

"Once we wrap up this business with Godly Doctor Xia, I'll clue you in on an even more lucrative gig."

"Trust me, you'll be raking it in."

Lin Chen rolled his eyes and irritably reminded Old Man Huang, "Yeah, yeah, let's focus on the task at hand."

Huang didn't buy Lin Chen's feigned concern for a second and instead turned his full attention to Godly Doctor Xia. "Listen up, old man, this is your final chance. If you don't spill the beans, don't blame me for turning heartless."

His voice carried a hint of menace as he interrogated Godly Doctor Xia, who remained stubbornly silent. He knew all too well that revealing the truth would mean certain disappearance at the hands of their ruthless methods.

Frustrated by the silence, Huang didn't waste any more words. He pulled out some tape, sealing Godly Doctor Xia's eyelids shut, then whipped out his phone to cue up the real show. As the video started, he fitted Godly Doctor Xia with earphones.

"Huang, you truly live up to your name—your tactics are barbaric!" Lin Chen remarked, unable to hide his amazement at the sight.

Two doses of the Spring Pill could knock out anyone, Godly Doctor Xia or even a sturdy old ox. And as if that wasn't enough, Old Man Huang was now subjecting him to this sham—utterly deranged!

"We're just getting started," Huang said nonchalantly. "If the old coot still won't talk, I'll pay for a couple of pretty young things to tempt him. He'll be able to look but not touch, practically bursting with frustration!"

"Old Mr. Huang, if you're so tough, just kill me. Don't degrade me like this!" Godly Doctor Xia protested as the video played on and the drug took hold, confident that Lin Chen and Huang wouldn't dare lay a finger on him.

"Degrade you?" Huang scoffed, almost having forgotten. "Forget the girls. I think I'll find some burly men with particular tastes for you instead. Then, I'll make a few choice videos to share with the internet!"

Old Man Huang let out a cold laugh upon discerning Godly Doctor Xia's intentions.

"Huang, why not amuse yourself for a while?"

"I need to head back and spend some time with my wife and mother-in-law."

Lin Chen probed cautiously.

If Old Man Huang insisted on him staying, it would suggest that Huang was trying to pull him into the fray.

Considering Godly Doctor Xia had the audacity to conspire against his life, the mastermind behind him was undoubtedly formidable.

Should Old Man Huang consent to his departure, then Lin Chen might fully place his trust in him.

"Brother, your presence here doesn't change a thing."

"I won't let this old man's issues drag you into the mess."

"After all, you're not just my elder brother but also the one who saved my life."

The wily Old Huang could easily read between the lines of Lin Chen's statement.

He regarded Lin Chen with a grave expression and said earnestly.

"I'll head back to the ward then. Just give me a shout if you need anything."

With Old Huang laying his cards on the table, Lin Chen couldn't help but smile, taking the conversation in stride.

He preferred to judge Huang by his actions rather than his words.

Shortly after Lin Chen's departure, Godly Doctor Xia succumbed to the overwhelming effects of the drug.

He confessed, "Old Mr. Huang, I'll spill everything."

"Please, turn off this video before my body bursts from the strain!"

Godly Doctor Xia, legs clamped together, pleaded desperately with Old Man Huang.

"The shadowy group behind me instructed me to murder you and pin the blame on the Ann family from A City."

"That way, your progeny would blindly seek vengeance against the Anns."

"As for the finer details, they're beyond my knowledge."
