C16 It Was Creative to Eat a Flower Vase!

The fiery red jade lay quietly in the box, its color deepening under the sunlight, as if a flame burned within it.

Liu Changqing, an immortal cultivator, instantly noticed the spiritual energy hovering above the jade.

Such pure spiritual energy was a first for him on Dookdil!

Absorbing it from this jade would surely enhance his cultivation.

"The item is yours, and your wife will be saved," he declared simply, seeking an even exchange rather than taking advantage of Tang Zhenye or entangling himself in worldly karma over a piece of fire jade.

"Thank you, Mr. Liu! My wife and I are both deeply grateful for your aid," Tang Zhenye exclaimed, his face alight with happiness, not having expected Liu Changqing to actually agree to help.

"We leave now," Liu Changqing stated, pocketing the fire jade with an impassive face before stepping out of the breakfast shop, followed closely by Tang Zhenye and Tang Xingye.

Ten minutes later, their car entered the Tang family's estate in the Cloud Tide Continent.

"Mr. Liu, we've arrived," announced Tang Xingye as he stepped out of the car and held the door open for Liu Changqing.

"Hmm," acknowledged Liu Changqing, stepping out and surveying the surroundings. The unique energy of the place suggested the presence of a dragon, marking it as an unquestionable Feng Shui treasure.

Yet, at the Tang residence, Liu Changqing spotted a faint black light forming a blade on the rooftop, poised above the dragon's head—a sign threatening to sever the family's fortune.

Such a subtle shift would go unnoticed by most, only the truly knowledgeable could discern its significance.

"Mr. Liu, this way, please," Tang Zhenye said, descending from the car to respectfully usher Liu Changqing forward.

The Tang family's bodyguards watched, their eyes nearly popping out in astonishment. Such reverence was unexpected, even for someone summoned to heal the matriarch. After all, the Tang family's word alone could draw a legion of renowned doctors vying for entry.

Upon entering the Tang residence, a number of esteemed doctors had already assembled.

"Elder Tang!"

They greeted Tang Zhenye with great reverence before turning their disapproving gazes toward Liu Changqing.

The doctors were well aware of the rumors surrounding Liu Changqing, yet upon meeting him, their faces betrayed scorn and condescension.

They had imagined someone significant enough to warrant Elder Tang's attention, only to find a mere youngster!

Could such a person truly possess any noteworthy medical expertise?

"Elder Tang must see something special in you to extend an invitation, young friend. Your medical skills must be exceptional. May I inquire which hospital has the honor of your affiliation?"

A silver-haired gentleman in his sixties or seventies adjusted his glasses and stepped forward to inquire.

Liu Changqing gave him a brief look but offered no response.

"Young man, I'm speaking to you. What's the meaning of this disregard? Has no one taught you to respect your elders and cherish the young?"

Qian Xianhong, visibly irritated by Liu Changqing's indifference, pressed on.

"I'm here to save lives, not to engage in idle chatter," Liu Changqing retorted sharply.

"Hey! Watch your tone! Do you realize who you're addressing? He's the esteemed vice president of the Gliatol Medical Association, a professor at Gliatol's First People's Hospital, and a director of the Udruesau Medical Association—Qian Xianhong, or 'Elder Qian' to you."

Another individual stepped forward to defend Qian Xianhong, taken aback by Liu Changqing's dismissive demeanor.

"The name's too long; I won't bother remembering it," Liu Changqing responded, clearly unimpressed. He thought to himself how burdensome it must be to carry such a multitude of titles. If one truly had skill and knowledge, they would follow in the footsteps of Chiang Huangqi, dedicating themselves to healing the world rather than accumulating empty honors. In plain terms, titles served no purpose beyond vanity.

"Like a fearless young bull unafraid of tigers! I'm quite curious about which medical institution granted you such audacity," Sun Zhenying challenged, stepping up to confront Liu Changqing.

"I didn't study medicine," Liu Changqing clarified with a shake of his head.

"Not a medical student? And yet you practice medicine! Surely, you must possess a physician's license to practice," the old man asserted.

Sun Zhenying seemed to have seized a critical opportunity and hurriedly asked, "What is this? Is it of any use?"

Liu Changqing gave it a cursory glance. "Are you questioning the usefulness of my medical license? You charlatan! I have no idea how you've managed to deceive them, but how can someone who doesn't even recognize a medical license be qualified to treat patients?"

Sun Zhenying was visibly upset, his voice rising intentionally.

"Exactly. To think he could deceive the Tang family, he must not realize how serious the consequences could be. Perhaps he'd like to find out!"

"Elder Qian, I strongly recommend we throw this man out. At his age, instead of learning, he chooses to swindle. We can't let him endanger Old Mrs. Tang!"

While they openly belittled Liu Changqing, they were secretly buttering up Qian Xianhong.

"Enough! All of you, be quiet! This is the Tang household!"

Tang Xingye's face darkened as he heard them insult Liu Changqing, fear mounting in his heart.

These old fools, shaming a young Master—were they asking for trouble? If he got angry and refused to save my mother, then what?

"Young Master Tang, we're telling the truth. You mustn't trust him!"

Seeing Tang Xingye's anger, Sun Zhenying softened his tone.

"If we can't trust him, should we trust you? How long has it been, and have any of you cured my mother? A bunch of incompetents!"

Despite his deference to Liu Changqing, Tang Xingye was unapologetically authoritative as the financial tycoon, Young Master Tang, to others.

Stung by Tang Xingye's rebuke, Sun Zhenying and the others, once full of righteous indignation, now looked like deflated balloons, too intimidated to speak.

"Mr. Liu, tell me, how certain are you that you can cure Old Mrs. Tang?"

At that moment, Qian Xianhong turned to Liu Changqing with the question.

"Just a minor ailment. Why do you need to ask about confidence?" Liu Changqing responded nonchalantly.

A minor ailment? Aren't you afraid of frightening people to death?

If Old Mrs. Tang's condition were truly minor, would we need to call you? This is an elder's illness, a harbinger of life's twilight. And yet you claim it's a minor ailment? There's boasting, and then there's sheer fantasy!

As Liu Changqing's words rang out, the doctors, who had been quieted by Tang Xingye's fury, erupted into chaos once again.

"He's insufferably arrogant! In my decades of practice, I've never encountered such hubris!"

"A minor illness? When so many of us are stumped by it, he dares to call it minor?"

"He speaks so casually of a disease that even Divine Doctor Chiang and Elder Qian are at a loss with. His audacity knows no bounds! Does he fancy himself the reincarnation of Hua Tuo?"

"If he truly manages to heal Old Mrs. Tang, I'll eat this vase!"

These old timers were causing a ruckus, their prideful attitudes showing their disdain for Liu Changqing.

Tang Xingye covertly signaled to his father, hoping to intervene and expel them, but Tang Zhenye's gaze instructed him to hold his ground.

Liu Changqing was a Master, after all. If truly provoked, this group of old men would be no match for him.

But then again, even if Liu Changqing dispatched them all, the Tang family had the means to hush up the incident without significant repercussions.

If these incompetent doctors were hell-bent on their own demise, so be it!

"Eating a vase? Now that's something I'd like to see!"

Liu Changqing's lips curled into a slight smirk, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he watched Sun Zhenying, who was bristling with indignation.
