C7 Bring Your Head up to Meet Me!

The moment Liu Changqing emerged, he was transformed utterly and profoundly.

His skin was as delicate and pale as snow, a quality so fine it seemed implausible on a man.

Thanks to the alchemical refinement and the teachings of the Primordial Scroll, Liu Changqing now possessed an even more distinctive aura.

"The Primordial Scroll truly surpassed my expectations," he mused, a glint of sharpness passing through his eyes as he examined his body.

He had assumed that his body would require several more rounds of medicinal refinement to meet the demands of his cultivation practice. Yet, to his surprise, the formidable mental techniques of the Primordial Scroll had not only assimilated the medicine's potency but also transformed his bodily functions for multiple uses, saving him considerable time.

Dressed, Liu Changqing's attention settled on the wooden box resting atop the table.

This box, previously used by Tang Zhenye to house century-old mountain ginseng, had caught Liu Changqing's eye the moment Tang brought it into the Hall of Rejuvenation.

While it might have appeared ordinary to others, Liu Changqing could perceive the sinister chill intermittently seeping from the box.

Nine Yin Locust Wood!

Liu Changqing had scarcely imagined that upon his arrival on this planet, he would stumble upon the rare Nine Yin Locust Wood.

As its name implies, this locust wood, grown in lands steeped in Yin energy, was saturated with that dark essence.

Inherently Yin in nature, when further nurtured by such energy, the wood's malevolence soared.

Any object crafted from this wood, if carried long-term, would enhance the bearer's Yin Qi, deplete their Yang Qi, and ultimately, shorten their lifespan.

Yet, what was a lethal artifact to others was an immense boon to Liu Changqing!

Having just entered the Spirit Awakening Stage, he needed to unlock the elemental powers of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth within him. He had been concerned about finding a way to do so, but the Nine Yin Locust Wood had providentially presented itself.

"Perfect timing—I'll absorb your Yin Evil Wood Qi and awaken the Wood Spirit!"

Liu Changqing declared, stepping forward and channeling the spiritual energy within him. It gathered in his palm and flowed to his fingertips.

"Whoosh!"

With a flick of his finger, Liu Changqing sent a beam of light shooting towards the Nine Yin Locust Wood box.

"Buzz!"

The once still wooden box began to vibrate, reacting to the threat posed by Liu Changqing's gesture.

Suddenly, the room was engulfed in an overwhelming evil presence. A black Qi billowed from the box, coalescing into a massive skull that hovered menacingly in the air, its visage twisted and terrifying.

"Roar!"

The skull let out a furious roar and lunged at Liu Changqing, its gaping maw seeming intent on devouring him whole.

"Humph! Come to me!"

With a cold snort, Liu Changqing summoned a force field behind him, and a spectral long sword materialized, hovering above his head.

"Grand Unity Demon Slaying Sword!"

The sword's blade gleamed brightly, with the Yin and Yang embracing the Eight Trigrams on its hilt, scattering the malevolent aura in an instant.

"Break!"

He thrust the sword forward, its tip piercing directly into the skull.

"Roar!"

The skull writhed in a futile struggle against the sword's sharpness. In a moment, it shattered, and the malevolent Qi surged towards the room's corners.

"Absorb!"

A black hole emerged above Liu Changqing's head, seemingly possessing immense devouring power. The dispersed Nine Yin Locust Wood's evil Qi was quickly drawn in and absorbed.

"Buzz…"

Liu Changqing's body jolted as the Nine Yin Locust Wood's evil Qi invigorated him.

While deadly to others, this chilling evil Qi was a substantial nourishment for him.

"Wood Spirit, awaken!"

Liu Changqing bellowed, his palms swiftly tracing mysterious symbols. Golden runes etched themselves into the void.

Above him, a vibrant green emerged, brimming with life and vitality, as if merely being touched by it could infuse one with energy.

Yet, the spectacle was fleeting. The spiritual energy around them settled, and the Wood Spirit above Liu Changqing's head vanished without a trace.

"Finally, I've awakened a spirit!"

I had assumed that cultivating on the barren Dookdil would be incredibly challenging, but once I began practicing the Primordial Scroll, I found I could consume any absorbable energy, significantly accelerating my progress.

In the beginning, there was chaos.

All things in the world are formed from the Primal Qi, and to consume and then nourish oneself with it is to return to the source.

Now that Liu Changqing has awakened the wood spirit, nearly everything with a wood attribute in the world could serve as his weapon. Flowers could inflict injury, and leaves could become lethal.

Yet, unlocking the gold, fire, water, and earth spirits will require considerable effort.

In the Azure Dragon Domain, items imbued with the power of the five elements are commonplace, making it easy to awaken the spirits of the five elements. However, here on Dookdil, within the Tianhai Star system, resources are scarce. The planet is too impoverished.

The Spiritual Qi is sparse and polluted, rendering the environment unsuitable for cultivation. Liu Changqing even doubts the existence of any cultivators on this planet.

Meanwhile, in a private hospital in Gliatol, the mood was heavy.

A middle-aged man's face was clouded with darkness, almost as if it could drip with gloom. A woman, dressed in opulent attire, sat beside the bed, weeping.

The man lying in the bed was none other than Lee Ming, who had been disabled by Liu Changqing. The grim-faced middle-aged man was his father, Lee Canghai.

Lee Canghai is a legend in Gliatol, having risen from a gang hooligan to a wealthy businessman through sheer determination and ruthless tactics.

"Canghai, you must seek justice for our son!"

The woman, dabbing at her tear-stained cheeks, looked toward the comatose Lee Ming and spoke with a surge of emotion.

"Rest assured. Anyone who dares to harm my son in Gliatol will have their entire family pay the price," Lee Canghai declared, his voice laced with venom. Lee Ming was his sole heir, the future custodian of his vast empire. Now reduced to a cripple, his lineage was nearly severed, igniting a fury within him.

"Exactly! That Liu Changqing must pay with his life!"

The woman's words were laced with venom as she gazed upon her battered son.

"Qian Cheng!"

Lee Canghai turned to address the man who had remained quiet behind him.

"Master!"

Qian Cheng stepped forward, responding with deference.

"Have you been listening? Liu Changqing is your responsibility now. I want him gone—permanently. Make sure it's done thoroughly."

Lee Canghai's voice was icy.

"Rest assured, Master. I'll return with his head."

Qian Cheng vowed.

"Then go."

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Lee Canghai signaled the end of the conversation. Qian Cheng turned on his heel and exited the intensive care unit.
