C2 My Underwear Level Up!(1)

The outline of the progress bar on the underwear was white, with a black interior.

Suddenly, the black filled in completely.

It was as if something had been activated.

"God-level set has been activated."

Just then, Zhou Wen was startled by a gentle female voice that echoed in his ears.

In the men's restroom, where could a woman's voice have come from?

Zhou Wen listened intently for any other sounds in the restroom.

Apart from himself, there was no one else, yet the voice was unmistakable.

At that moment, Zhou Wen sensed a human silhouette materializing in his mind.

The silhouette shone with a white light, and he could make out clothes, a hat, pants, shoes, and other items upon it.

"By jumping into the river to save someone, you've earned 10 good points. Your underwear has upgraded from level 0 to level 1, granting the wearer an increase of +10 Strength and +10 Intelligence."

The female voice spoke again.

In his mind's eye, the area around the silhouette's crotch lit up, revealing the shape of underwear.

Beside it, a progress bar appeared, showing levels 1 through 4, with the marker currently at level 1.

Zhou Wen was astounded beyond belief!

What was this underwear?

The image in his mind faded away as if nothing had ever happened.

Zhou Wen glanced down at his underwear to find it had turned red, no longer the black it was before.

He was taken aback.

He had never experienced anything so bizarre; his underwear had changed color on its own.

And what about that sudden vision and the soft female voice? What in the world was happening?

Zhou Wen felt bewildered.

"God-level set? Good points, leveling up, wearer's strength +10, intelligence +10."

He mulled over the critical information he had heard.

"Could this underwear be some kind of treasure? Was it activated because I jumped into the river to save someone?"

Zhou Wen pondered, but no matter what he did, he couldn't conjure the human silhouette in his mind again.

He faintly remembered that the silhouette wore more than just underwear; there were clothes as well.

He attempted to remove the underwear.

He managed to pull it down to his knees to relieve himself, but it wouldn't budge any further.

Zhou Wen breathed a sigh of relief.

At least he could use the restroom now; otherwise, the situation would have been too embarrassing to witness.

Thud!

His phone slipped from his pocket and hit the floor.

Thankfully, it didn't fall into the toilet.

Zhou Wen picked up his phone and checked the time.

"Oh no, it's 6:50. I'm going to be late!"

He quickly pulled up his pants and dashed out of the restroom.

Once outside, Zhou Wen ran towards Big Valley School.

He was a senior, and with the final semester underway, the college entrance exams were just a few months away. The school was exceptionally strict about their studies.

Moreover, Zhou Wen attended Big Valley School, known for its rigorous discipline and superior teaching quality across Anewood.

Even though it was Sunday, Zhou Wen and his classmates had two evening self-study sessions scheduled.

From seven to nine o'clock.

"This is bad. Ms. Lee Dan is like a tigress. Even if I make it now, I'll still be late. With her fiery temper, she'd never believe me if I told her I had to jump into a river to save someone!"

As Zhou Wen ran, he dreaded the impending consequences.

Lee Dan, the homeroom teacher of Zhou Wen's class and a language instructor, was not yet thirty but had already mastered her teaching and management techniques.

Her only flaw was her explosive temper.

Zhou Wen, often neglectful in his studies, had been on the receiving end of her scolding more than once.

Upon reaching the school, Zhou Wen hurried to his classroom.

...

Inside the 13th Grade, Class 5 room, the homeroom teacher, Lee Dan, stood at the podium, her face livid with rage, her eyes nearly shooting flames.

The classroom was deathly quiet.

"Reporting in!"

A jarring voice broke the silence.

Zhou Wen, gasping for breath, nonetheless stood erect at the classroom door.

"Zhou Wen, you finally remember how to get to school! Do you realize the whole class has been waiting just for you? Look at the time. How late are you? Don't you have any concept of punctuality?" Lee Dan scolded furiously.

"Teacher, it wasn't intentional—I was late because I was saving someone!" Zhou Wen exclaimed loudly.

"Saving someone? Who? Being late is being late; don't fabricate excuses. I know exactly what you're like!" Lee Dan's face was livid with anger.

"Teacher, I really was late because I saved a little girl in Dorrich Canal!" Zhou Wen urgently tried to explain, his expression fraught with anxiety.

"Saved someone! Why don't you just claim you can fly next? Try to come up with a more believable excuse next time!"

After Lee Dan finished her tirade, she slammed her hand on the desk and commanded, "Zhou Wen, stand at the back of the classroom. You're not sitting down without my permission!"

"Zhou Wen has the worst grades in the class, he's late, and now he's lying. If you ask me, he might as well just refund his tuition and go pick through trash on the streets! At least then he wouldn't be late!" chimed in Wang Chi, the student with the second-highest grades in the class, from his seat in the second row.

"Wang Chi's got a point. Maybe Zhou Wen should just drop out and get a job," a few others agreed.

The classroom erupted in laughter.

Zhou Wen's face darkened with a mix of anger and hurt.

Why?

Why won't any of you believe me?

Head bowed and lips tightly pressed together, Zhou Wen made his way to the back of the classroom. As he passed the third row, he sped up. There sat the girl recognized as the most beautiful in the school, the one he had secretly adored for three years.

But Zhou Wen was aware that their worlds would never intersect. She was the exemplary student; he was the troublemaker.

As Zhou Wen walked by, the girl with the ponytail gave him a cursory glance, her eyes brimming with scorn and disappointment.

Zhou Wen's eyes held a complex mix of emotions. Everyone, including his crush, seemed convinced he was lying.

Suddenly, her expression shifted to one of concentration.

Why was Zhou Wen's hair dripping wet, adorned with strands of weeds?

Could it be true that he had actually jumped into the river to save someone?

That seemed impossible!

How could a student who consistently ranked last in academic performance, who idled his days away and never even took part in cleaning the classroom, have the courage to save someone?

At that moment, Lee Dan slammed her hand down on the table.

"Forget it, Zhou Wen!" Lee Dan yelled.

The classroom fell silent instantly.

Was it possible that Teacher Lee Dan had decided against punishing him?

"Go stand outside the classroom, or you'll disrupt the other students!"

As soon as Lee Dan's words trailed off, the classroom burst into cheers.

Zhou Wen, who was just in the middle of the room, stopped in his tracks.

Was he not even allowed to stand inside the classroom anymore?

With a resigned smile, Zhou Wen began to make his way to the door.

Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps came from outside.

"Teacher Lee Dan, is Zhou Wen in the classroom?"

The man's voice preceded his arrival, echoing before he even entered the room.

Following the voice, a group of people slowly made their entrance from beyond the classroom.

Lee Dan was taken aback.

Leading the group were two middle-aged men: the director of education and, to her surprise, the principal!

What was happening? Why had the director of education and the principal suddenly shown up in the classroom?
