C24 You Asked for This Kind of Consequence!

The Goblin King ceased his onslaught but didn't stray far. He simply stood his ground, scanning the area. It was evident he was searching for the elusive Kiss of Death.

"I nearly got caught by the Goblin King!" Kiss of Death exhaled in relief. When he glanced at Zhang Ze, to his horror, he saw an arrow pointed straight at him!

"Has he spotted me again? How is that even possible?" Shock filled Kiss of Death's eyes. Normally, his Innate Skill rendered him invisible to others!

Yet somehow, this youngster named Rakshasa had pinpointed his exact location.

Another arrow struck Kiss of Death, forcing him to materialize.

Kiss of Death was in utter despair. Looking down, he noticed a spider web at his feet and realized the cause of his exposure.

"The spider web! I may be invisible, but it remained in place! It looks like my end is certain this time!" Desperation etched on his face, Kiss of Death watched as the Goblin King charged at him.

"Even in death, I won't make it easy for you!" With a final glare at Zhang Ze, Kiss of Death sent out a message before meeting his fate.

Zhang Ze observed as the Goblin King mercilessly slew Kiss of Death. Devil Soul Spheres and equipment scattered across the ground, and Kiss of Death's body disintegrated into a cloud of ash. Zhang Ze smirked at the scene.

"You brought this on yourself today!"

With Kiss of Death vanquished, the Goblin King returned to his throne and settled down with composure.

Zhang Ze refrained from immediately collecting the fallen Devil Soul Spheres and equipment, as his Summon Monster team had taken a severe beating.

Even at full strength, battling the Goblin King was a formidable challenge for his Summon Monsters. Now, with only a Poisonous Spider, three Rock Goblins, and two bosses left, defeating the Goblin King seemed an even more daunting task.

"First, I need to replenish my Summon Monster team."

Zhang Ze turned and departed. Goblins were plentiful in the area. He led his remaining Summon Monsters on a quick hunt, eliminating four pairs of Goblins and restoring his team to full capacity.

"Now we're ready! Let's take on the boss!"

With his Summon Monster squad back in full force, Zhang Ze stormed into the Goblin King's domain. The Goblin King, alerted to their presence, brandished his twin blades and engaged in a fierce battle with Zhang Ze's Summon Monsters.

Zhang Ze seized the opportunity to gather all the items dropped by the Kiss of Death into his backpack.

"Wow, the Kiss of Death dropped a ton of Devil Soul Spheres and gear!"

He scored two Advanced Devil Soul Spheres, thirty-six Medium Rank ones, and ninety-seven Low Rank spheres.

In addition, Zhang Ze snagged four pieces of equipment and several vials of health potions.

He was in high spirits, particularly after discovering a Level A item among the Kiss of Death's loot. His excitement grew even more.

White Silk Gloves

Special Effect: None

Durability: 100/100

Zhang Ze didn't hesitate to slip on the formidable gloves immediately, then he dove into the fray, nocking an arrow and aiming for the Goblin King.

"Finally, my attack power's gone up!"

Zhang Ze couldn't help but give a wry smile. Until now, he had focused solely on summoning monsters, neglecting to equip himself with gear to enhance his strength like other adventurers.

As a result, his attack damage had always been on the lower side.

Today's events, however, were a wake-up call. Solely depending on summoned monsters wasn't going to cut it.

If there came a day when his summoned creatures were all wiped out in battle, Zhang Ze's chances of survival would be slim.

He realized he needed to bolster his own power to improve his odds of surviving in the Devil Domain.

The battle against the Goblin King was brutal. Zhang Ze tapped into his utmost command skills, aiming to minimize his summoning team's casualties. Yet, despite his efforts, the Goblin's formidable attacks claimed the lives of his team members one by one.

"This Goblin King is one tough nut to crack!"

Watching the last Rock Goblin fall, Zhang Ze couldn't help but let out a string of expletives.

With no other options, he sent in the Iron Tooth Wolf to face the onslaught.

Though the Iron Tooth Wolf was an Elite Level boss, it was only a first-level boss and was significantly outmatched by the Goblin King.

-394! (Goblin King)

-211! (Iron Tooth Wolf)

The damage values made it clear—the Goblin King's strikes were nearly twice as potent as those of the Iron Tooth Wolf!

But, Zhang Ze had a stroke of luck on his side—the Poisonous Spider, capable of turning the tides with its battlefield control.

As soon as Zhang Ze spotted the Goblin King executing Whirlwind Slash, he swiftly commanded the Poisonous Spider to ensnare him in a web, while ordering the Iron Tooth Wolf to fall back and avoid a devastating blow.

Meanwhile, the relentless assault from Zhang Ze and the Heaven Swallowing Frog continued unabated. A volley of fireballs and arrows rained down upon the Goblin King.

-311! (Heaven Swallowing Frog)

-40! (Rakshasa)

Despite the grueling battle, hope surged in Zhang Ze's heart with each incremental drop in the Goblin King's health.

"Just a bit longer! Victory is within our grasp!"

Zhang Ze's eyes were glued to the Goblin King's health bar, silently counting down the percentages in his head: "19%, 16%, 13%, 9%."

At last, the first light of triumph shone upon Zhang Ze.

The decisive fireball, hurled by the Heaven Swallowing Frog, struck the Goblin King squarely on the head.

-333! (Heaven Swallowing Frog)

The Goblin King staggered, his twin blades slipping from his grasp before he crashed to the ground with a thunderous fall.

"Congratulations, you have slain the Goblin King!"

The message in his view allowed Zhang Ze's tense muscles, strained for over two hours, to finally unwind.

"Victory is mine at last!"

Exhaling deeply, Zhang Ze strode over to claim the Goblin King's dropped loot. Simultaneously, he employed the Summon Technique to call forth the Goblin King.

A burst of special effects later, the menacing Goblin King materialized before Zhang Ze, but upon seeing his conqueror, he knelt on one knee in submission.

Zhang Ze delivered a resounding slap to the Goblin King. "You were a tough opponent!"

But his frustration quickly turned to laughter. "From now on, you're my underling! Hahaha!"

To date, Zhang Ze had amassed three formidable bosses: the Iron Tooth Wolf, the Heaven Swallowing Frog, and the Goblin King.

Though the Iron Tooth Wolf was the least powerful of the trio, it was on the cusp of leveling up. Zhang Ze was confident that with the upcoming upgrade, the Iron Tooth Wolf's prowess would soar, potentially rivaling that of the Goblin King.

At this moment, Zhang Ze's summoning team had five open slots. He had already considered adding three Sword-shield Goblins and two Rock Goblins to the lineup.

However, Zhang Ze resolved to first make his way through the stone door to the fourth floor.

If he didn't seize the opportunity to advance now, he'd be forced to face the Goblin King in battle once more to pass through the stone door later—a prospect he was not eager to relive.

Yet, there was a persistent hunch in Zhang Ze's mind that he hadn't acted upon.

He was curious to find out if he could summon multiple instances of the same boss, just as he could with lesser monsters.
