C6 This Is What a Real Hero Is Like!!

As soon as Zhang Ze logged off, Yueying and her companions reached the mountain hollow.

"Ms. Yueying, are we sure we're headed the right way?" the Little Princess asked with a pout. "That's an elite boss! Defeating it could earn us a ton of rewards."

Dragon King gave a dismissive snort. "You're getting ahead of yourself. Elite bosses aren't pushovers. It's uncertain whether we can take it down."

Unconvinced, the Little Princess shot back at Dragon King, "With two Level-S talents and three Level-A talents, our team is formidable. I refuse to believe that the five of us can't handle one elite monster."

Giant God weighed in, "It's not that simple. It all depends on the elite boss's strength." As the oldest and most respected member of the group, Giant God's words carried weight. He was the leader of their team.

Overnight Autumn turned to Yueying, who had been quiet throughout the conversation. "Yueying, who was that rookie that came to your rescue?"

After a brief pause, Yueying answered, "Tomorrow, I'll visit Mr. Liu Wei at school. The person who helped me is likely one of his students. If there's been a tragedy, Mr. Liu Wei will know."

A flicker of light illuminated the living room as Zhang Ze materialized. It was just past 1 a.m.

With his sister fast asleep, he tiptoed back to his room.

The prospect of his newfound Level-SSS talent filled Zhang Ze with optimism. Pushing down his excitement, he drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, the aroma of cooking roused Zhang Ze. He opened his eyes and stepped out to find Zhang Feng busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning, brother. Just a little longer; breakfast is almost ready!" Zhang Feng greeted him with a weary smile, her complexion pale.

Zhang Ze was acutely aware of the failing artificial kidney Zhang Feng relied on. He needed to make the rental payment soon to ensure she could keep using it without issue.

Without a word, he waited. Once the meal was prepared, they sat down to eat.

"Brother, I've heard the Devil Domain is treacherous. Maybe you shouldn't go," Zhang Feng said as she served Zhang Ze an egg. "I'll find a way to handle the rent for the artificial kidney."

"How do you plan to handle this?" Zhang Ze paused, taken aback. The rent was substantial. His sister, a sixteen-year-old student, would likely struggle to come up with such an amount.

"It's a secret!" Zhang Feng kept it to herself.

"I've figured out a way to deal with the artificial kidney rent. Don't worry about it," Zhang Ze reassured her, shaking his head. "You're still so young. Focus on your studies."

He had intended to share with his sister the news of his Level SSS talent awakening, but upon reflection, he chose to keep it under wraps.

The less people knew this secret, the better, particularly his loved ones. They could be put in harm's way otherwise.

"Bro, you have to trust me!" Zhang Feng implored anxiously. She had been hesitant to inquire about the level of talent Zhang Ze had awakened, fearing it might bruise his ego.

The odds were slim after all; among ten thousand, fewer than five awakened a Level A talent. Everyone else settled for an ordinary or even subpar talent.

Zhang Feng didn't mean to underestimate her brother, but the chances of him acquiring a high-level talent seemed incredibly slim.

"We'll leave it at that!" Zhang Ze declared, finishing his meal, waving dismissively, and stepping out the door.

Upon reaching school and entering the classroom, Zhang Ze overheard his classmates buzzing about their recent venture into the Devil Domain.

"I've awakened a Level D talent. I'm destined to be just an average Joe."

"Being average isn't so bad. A simple life is often the best."

"Easy for you to say. What talent did you awaken?"

The buyers behind the scenes were major conglomerates, government agencies, and private entities. They invested their Devil Soul Spheres in the talents they were cultivating.

"I caught a glimpse of the goddess. She's even more stunning than the one in the Devil Domain!"

"I wonder if she's single. It'd be great if she didn't have a boyfriend!"

"Get real! She's out of your league!"

Mr. Liu Wei cleared his throat, and the chatter in the classroom ceased.

"Class, an unforeseen event occurred last night while you were battling the first-level monster. I won't go into details since you were all present."

"Can I ask who it was that helped Ms. Yueying distract the giant monster? Whoever did this, please come forward. Ms. Yueying would like to thank you in person!"

The students exchanged puzzled looks. They had all fled in terror when the elite Iron Tooth Wolf appeared, so none of them knew what had happened afterward.

Zhang Ze didn't step forward; his actions hadn't been about saving her. Besides, any discussion about the elite Iron Tooth Wolf could blow his cover, so he kept quiet.

After an awkward silence, no one came forward. Liu Wei furrowed his brow and turned to Lau Yueying, "Ms. Yueying, it's possible that the person isn't from our class."

Lau Yueying let out a soft sigh and nodded. "I see, Mr. Liu Wei. If you hear anything, please let me know."

As Liu Wei escorted Lau Yueying out, the classroom buzzed with excitement.

"Who could it be? Someone actually had the guts to lead away an elite monster! Are they out of their mind?"

"That's what a true hero looks like! I have so much respect for them!"

"I'm the one who drew the monster away. Is it too late to tell her now?"

"Have you been drinking?"

Beside Zhang Ze, a chubby kid with glasses nudged him, "I actually know who it was!"

This kid, Wang Yang, was one of Zhang Ze's few friends.

Wang Yang was from a rich family but struggled academically. Zhang Ze often tutored him, and in return, Wang Yang would slip him some cash.

Zhang Ze turned to Wang Yang in surprise and asked, "Who was it?"

With a hint of intrigue, Wang Yang replied, "When the Elite Iron Tooth Wolf showed up, everyone but one person ran out. I think his name was Rakshasa."

Zhang Ze kept his composure and responded, "It's not necessarily him. Maybe he just panicked and ran the wrong way. Plus, did you actually see Rakshasa lead the monster away?"

Wang Yang scratched his head, "No, I didn't. Anyway, it's none of our business. How about we hit up the Devil Domain to slay some monsters after school? I've got two girls joining us. We can each partner up with one and go monster hunting."

"No, I've got to work at the Martial House," Zhang Ze declined without hesitation.

Wang Yang's expression turned grave as he said, "Is it time to pay your sister's kidney rent? If you're in need of money, just let me know!"

"Thanks, but I've got it under control," Zhang Ze said with a slight smile.

"Okay then. But if you ever find yourself in the Devil Domain, come find me. I go by Hot Fatty there."

Wang Yang would never have shared his Devil Domain moniker with Zhang Ze if he didn't trust him implicitly.

After school, Zhang Ze hurried to the Martial House to do some cleaning.

At that moment, a crowd had gathered around a strength-testing machine, all eyes on a student as he threw a punch at the target.
