C17 Who Is the Boss of Central Cafeteria?
In the Central Cafeteria, the silence was deafening as both the Kong family disciples and those from outside the family heard the roar. The event before them had completely shattered their understanding, leaving everyone in a state of bewilderment.
Bao Guang, who had joined the Kong family a few years earlier, was known for his arrogance. Yet, in comparison to Zhang Hao's current display, Bao Guang's antics seemed almost tame.
On his very first day with the Kong family, as an outsider, Zhang Hao had knocked Kong Huo unconscious and pinned Kong Peng to the ground. To call his behavior merely 'arrogant' would be an understatement. Zhang Hao's conduct was utterly lawless, showing a blatant disregard for the Kong family's disciples.
Kong Peng, with his throat seized and forced to the ground, had intended to resist and reclaim his dignity. But Zhang Hao's increased pressure made it difficult for Kong Peng to breathe, and a fear like none he had ever known began to spread within him, the scent of death looming ever closer.
Pale-faced and trembling uncontrollably, Kong Peng looked up at Zhang Hao, whose eyes were as cold and merciless as a venomous snake or a wild beast, sending chills down the spine of anyone who met his gaze.
Kong Peng had wanted to maintain his defiance, but the words that came out betrayed his fear. "What did I do? I haven't wronged you..."
Kong Peng's plea for mercy was met with disbelief from all the disciples, both related and unrelated to the Kong family. His words were a raw, instinctual response to the imminent threat on his life.
"Speak! Who wiped out the village just now?" Zhang Hao demanded furiously, his grip tightening, causing Kong Peng's eyes to redden and roll back as the specter of death loomed over him.
"It was Hillfar Village. It seems all the villagers were slaughtered by bandits. Please, let me go, I can hardly breathe..." Kong Peng gasped, his hands desperately clawing at the iron grip around his throat, but no matter how he struggled, he couldn't free himself. Zhang Hao had no intention of releasing him.
"Who did this? Who slaughtered everyone in Hillfar Village?"
"It's said to be the Red Maple Stronghold! It's not far from Hillfar..."
It was only after Kong Peng managed to get these words out that Zhang Hao released him and bolted from the Central Cafeteria.
With his throat finally free, the sensation of impending death faded. Kong Peng collapsed, gasping for breath, his complexion slowly returning to normal.
Once Kong Peng came to, he noticed the inner and outer disciples looking at him, and anger surged within him.
"How dare you show such disrespect to an inner disciple of the Kong family!"
Kong Peng's outburst silenced all the outer disciples present, who were too frightened to utter a word.
Even Bao Guang stared in disbelief at the entrance of the Central Cafeteria, stunned by the recent events.
At that moment, Kong Huo, who had been knocked out cold by a punch, came to.
Touching his nose and feeling the blood, Kong Huo exploded in a furious roar.
"Where is he? Where's that country bumpkin of a disciple? Find him and bring him to me!"
"I'll kill him! He must die for daring to ambush me! It's as if he's begging for death!"
Kong Huo's rage sent a wave of fear through the disciples, both inner and outer, turning their faces ashen.
Kong Huo was no ordinary disciple; he was the strongest among those with the Kong surname and the sole heir to the Patriarch.
The future leader of the Kong family, he held their destiny in his hands.
Who would have thought that a mere country disciple would dare to attack Kong Huo?
As the crowd stood frozen, Kong Huo's glare turned to Bao Guang.
"Bao Guang, you have five minutes to bring him to me, or you'll regret it!"
Upon hearing Kong Huo's thunderous command, Bao Guang wasted no time. He turned to the other disciples and barked.
"Have you gone deaf? Did you not hear Young Master Huo? Find Zhang Hao now!"
Prompted by Bao Guang's command, the other disciples scrambled out of the Central Cafeteria.
And in that instant, a figure leaped forward, landing a kick squarely on Bao Guang's face.
With a thud, Bao Guang was kicked and sent tumbling to the ground with a heavy thud.
Before Bao Guang could rise, Kong Huo was upon him in an instant, his foot pressing down on Bao Guang's face.
"What do you think you are, giving orders in front of me?"
Pinned underfoot, Bao Guang frantically pleaded in fear.
"Young Master Huo, I'm sorry, so sorry—I was wrong, I won't dare to do it again..."
But before he could finish his plea, Kong Huo's foot slammed into his face, sending him flying several meters.
"Five minutes—if he's not standing before me, you'll regret it!"
At the sound of that furious roar, Bao Guang rolled away, scrambling to his feet and dashing out of the Central Cafeteria, not daring to delay.
Seething with rage, Bao Guang laid all the blame on Zhang Hao.
If not for Zhang Hao's insolence, he would never have suffered such a beating from Young Master Huo. Once he caught Zhang Hao, he'd make sure to punish him severely!
In a frantic five minutes, Bao Guang was nearly in tears, yet Zhang Hao was nowhere to be found.
The outer disciples had turned the Kong family's entire courtyard upside down with no sign of Zhang Hao.
Unable to find Zhang Hao, Bao Guang was at a loss for how to face Kong Huo. In desperation, he bellowed.
"Find Zhang Hao, now!"
Right after Bao Guang's command, Kong Huo appeared behind him, launching a powerful punch.
Another thud, and Bao Guang was down on the ground again.
Lying there, he pleaded desperately.
"Young Master Huo, please, your anger—I'll bring Zhang Hao to you right away..."
But Bao Guang was cut off as Kong Huo's face contorted with rage.
"It seems you haven't taken my words to heart. Perhaps it's been too long since your last lesson. Have you forgotten who's in charge of the Central Cafeteria?"
