C20 Feeling Wronged Yu Hu
Before Yu Hu could grasp what was happening, Zhang Hao had him pinned to the ground, unleashing a barrage of punches to his face.
Within minutes, Yu Hu was a bruised and swollen mess, his screams echoing through the space.
The onlookers from the Red Maple Stronghold stood outside the room, utterly stunned, none daring to intervene.
After all, if their formidable Tiger Lord was reduced to such a state, anyone else stepping in would be signing their own death warrant.
The crowd was profoundly shaken; the black-haired youth's strength was astonishing, reducing the Tiger Lord to pitiful howls.
Yu Hu himself was dazed, particularly since he had reached the late stages of the Blessed Realm and considered his cultivation formidable.
Yet, he was no match for the black-haired youth, a realization that left him feeling deeply humiliated as he desperately pleaded for mercy.
In truth, Yu Hu was at a loss. He couldn't overpower his opponent or escape, leaving him no option but to beg.
"Why?! Just why?! What on earth did you do this for?!"
Zhang Hao's shouts accompanied his relentless beating, showing no mercy as Yu Hu's face swelled grotesquely.
The unfortunate Yu Hu was still reeling in confusion, especially upon hearing Zhang Hao's outburst, which made him wish for death.
In that moment, Yu Hu was clueless about what Zhang Hao was accusing him of. After enduring several minutes of the assault, he couldn't bear it any longer and blurted out.
"Sir, please, I beg you to stop! I admit my mistake! I truly do! Have mercy on me!"
Despite his pleas, Yu Hu's spirit was shattered; he couldn't pinpoint his error.
But Yu Hu knew that without these words, the black-haired young man would surely beat him to death.
Upon hearing Yu Hu's desperate plea, Zhang Hao's expression turned ferocious, veins bulging on his forehead as he gripped Yu Hu's throat tightly.
"Speak! Why did you do it?!"
Faced with Zhang Hao's demand, Yu Hu wore an expression of utter hopelessness, at a loss for words.
Seeing no response, Zhang Hao drew back his fist, ready to resume the brutal punishment.
Terrified, Yu Hu couldn't get a word out as he burst into tears, crying, "Sir, it's because of greed, and greed is a mistake!"
Upon hearing this, a lethal glint flashed in Zhang Hao's eyes, and he furiously retorted, "Greed? Is that all you think this is about?"
Yu Hu was taken aback by Zhang Hao's outburst, utterly confused by what he meant.
"Sir, I shouldn't have taken the blood-furred wolf's beast core. I was wrong to be greedy!"
Yu Hu believed it was his greed for the blood-furred wolf's beast core that had enraged the black-haired young man. If only he had known the consequences, he never would have taken the beast core and brought this bloody calamity upon himself.
Zhang Hao's face contorted with rage as he heard Yu Hu's plea, and he delivered a furious punch to Yu Hu's face, bellowing, "Why so vicious? Because of greed, you spare no one—not the old, the young, the sick, nor the disabled! Must you annihilate them all to be satisfied?"
Yu Hu's nose gushed blood from the impact, but he quickly regained his senses. It dawned on him that the black-haired youth's assault wasn't about the beast core, but something else entirely.
Yu Hu was lost, unable to grasp the mention of sparing no one, of a complete slaughter. It wasn't fair to blame him, though; he was simply too pitiful and clueless about the situation.
After acquiring the blood-furred wolf's beast core, Yu Hu had secluded himself to cultivate, spending two full days absorbing and refining its energy. Only just now had he broken through to the Blessed Late Period and come to his senses.
Poor Yu Hu had barely opened his eyes upon awakening before he was pinned down and brutally beaten.
"Sir, could there be some kind of misunderstanding?" he ventured.
Zhang Hao, hearing Yu Hu's suggestion of a misunderstanding, swung his fists in a frenzy of blows. With everyone in Hillfar Village slaughtered, how could he not seethe with fury at Yu Hu's audacity to suggest it was all just a misunderstanding?
Yu Hu was immediately subjected to a brutal beating, his screams of agony piercing the air as he cried out.
"Sir, this has to be a misunderstanding! Please, let me explain!" he pleaded.
But Zhang Hao, in his blind rage, was beyond reason, relentlessly pummeling Yu Hu.
Realizing that Zhang Hao's blows were growing more forceful by the second, Yu Hu knew that if this went on, he would indeed be beaten to death. In a moment of sheer desperation, he acted.
As Zhang Hao's fist came hurtling towards him, Yu Hu reached out, grabbing Zhang Hao's wrist, his voice breaking with fear and sorrow.
"Sir, you have to tell me why! If you're going to kill me, at least let me know the reason! I, Yu Hu, want to die understanding why!"
Zhang Hao paused, seeing the pitiful sight of Yu Hu with tears, snot, and blood streaming down his face.
Releasing his grip, Zhang Hao delivered a swift kick to Yu Hu's stomach.
With a thunderous boom, Yu Hu's body slammed into the wall. He crumpled to the ground, then quickly scrambled to his feet, limping and waving his hands in a plea for mercy.
From a distance, the onlookers from Red Maple Stronghold were stunned to see the once formidable Tiger Lord reduced to wailing in distress. The sight was a shock to all.
But Yu Hu had no time to worry about their opinions; his instincts were solely focused on survival.
Yu Hu had always prided himself on being tough, but he had never encountered someone like Zhang Hao, who seemed intent on killing him from the outset. Now, beaten and aggrieved, he felt utterly helpless.
"You want clarity in death? Why did you massacre everyone in Hillfar Village?" Zhang Hao demanded.
Yu Hu's face registered shock, then a flicker of excitement.
"It's a misunderstanding..." he started to say.
"What's that? You're telling me that wiping out the entire Hillfar Village last night was just a 'misunderstanding'?" Zhang Hao interrupted, his voice icy with fury.
Yu Hu, unable to finish his plea, watched as Zhang Hao approached, his anger palpable. In a final act of desperation, Yu Hu dropped to his knees, his voice quivering as he begged.
"Sir, it's a misunderstanding! I swear, I didn't kill anyone yesterday!"
