C5 Bloodfurred Wolf

From that night on, the back mountain of Hillfar Village echoed with thunderous noises every evening, and the villagers gradually grew accustomed to the disturbance.

For six months, curiosity got the better of some Hillfar residents. They banded together in small groups and ventured to the back mountain to investigate.

The sight that greeted them left them in shock. Many trees had been felled, split in two, and rocks shattered to bits...

Fearing a prolonged stay, the villagers speculated that a formidable demonic beast was engaged in fierce battles there, prompting them to flee in terror.

As the villagers of Hillfar drifted off to sleep each night, Zhang Hao made his way to the back mountain, just as he always did.

"Black Hou Beast, which part are we training today?"

No sooner had Zhang Hao posed the question than the Black Hou Beast's voice echoed in his mind.

"Today, we focus on the head. As usual, bring down a hundred trees and shatter a hundred rocks."

Upon hearing the Black Hou Beast's directive, Zhang Hao wasted no time. He approached a large tree and headbutted it with full force.

The rumbling sounds of impact resonated continuously.

Anyone witnessing this scene would surely conclude that Zhang Hao had lost his mind.

Headbutting trees to break them and rocks to crush them—such wild behavior was the hallmark of a lunatic.

Unbeknownst to Zhang Hao, each violent collision sent a surge of blood to the Black Lotus Seed nestled within his dantian.

The seed, nourished by the blood, was slowly taking root and spreading through his dantian at a glacial pace.

Time flew by, and before long, Zhang Hao had reached the age of ten.

Tonight, like every other, he stood calmly on the back mountain.

"Black Hou Beast, which part are we working on today?"

A year of rigorous training had wrought earth-shattering changes in Zhang Hao's physique, transforming him into an unstoppable force.

Just six months prior, Zhang Hao could effortlessly reduce a two-meter-tall rock to rubble with a single punch.

"Kid, now close your eyes and feel the lotus seed's transformation within you."

At the beast's instruction, Zhang Hao closed his eyes, attuning himself to the black lotus seed's evolution in his dantian.

Moments later, he opened his eyes, his expression one of sheer amazement.

"Black Hou Beast, what's happening? Why is the Black Lotus Seed acting like this?"

While sensing with his energy, Zhang Hao discovered that the black lotus seed within his dantian had taken root and was now spreading throughout his body.

Moreover, the seed was riddled with countless cracks, looking as though it could shatter at any moment.

In response to Zhang Hao's confusion, the Black Hou Beast didn't offer an explanation but instead spoke up.

"Kid, you want to avenge Grandpa Zhao, right? Now's your chance to go after it."

Upon hearing the Black Hou Beast's words, Zhang Hao's face contorted with rage, his fists involuntarily clenching.

But soon after, his expression softened to a resigned, bitter smile, tinged with a hint of bewilderment.

Surrounded by the dense mountains and ancient forests, where could he begin to search for the demonic beast that killed Grandpa Zhao?

Especially since Zhang Hao had never even caught a glimpse of the creature.

"Don't worry, I've located the blood-furred wolf for you. Are you certain you want to go through with this? There's a chance it could turn the tables on you."

Upon learning that the blood-furred wolf could be found, Zhang Hao replied without a moment's hesitation.

"Black Hou Beast, I'm counting on you!"

Deep within a forest, Zhang Hao was leaping swiftly, unaffected by the dim surroundings.

He moved like a shadow, unnoticed by the fierce beasts and even the Foundation Stage demonic beasts he passed.

After an hour of relentless running and leaping, he reached a cave in the deep mountains.

The Black Hou Beast had informed him that this cave, standing three meters tall and two meters wide, was the den of the blood-furred wolf.

Zhang Hao entered the cave without a second thought, and in less than a moment, loud noises erupted from within.

The wolf's furious howls and the sounds of impact were relentless, lasting only a few minutes.

Then, with a thunderous boom, a figure was hurled from the cave, slamming into a large tree ahead.

The tree, thick as a water barrel, snapped from the force. Zhang Hao, slumped on the ground, quickly got to his feet.

He wiped the fresh blood from his lips, his face twisted with fury as he stared down the cave entrance.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Footsteps echoed from within, and a pair of glowing green eyes slowly emerged not far ahead.

A colossal creature, towering over two meters tall and stretching nearly three meters in length, stood at the mouth of the cave.

This behemoth was cloaked in blood-red fur, with a row of bony, fin-like spines running along its back from tail to crown.

A solitary horn adorned its forehead, and its mouth bristled with razor-sharp fangs. Its limbs were robust, its claws curved like deadly scythes.

This formidable beast was none other than the blood-furred wolf, seething with rage. It bared its massive maw and let loose a thunderous roar in the direction of Zhang Hao.

The territory spanning a hundred miles was the undisputed domain of the blood-furred wolf.

Not a single fierce creature, nor any demonic beast, dared to encroach upon its realm, much less venture into its lair.

Yet today, an unthinkable event occurred. A mere human child had not only trespassed into its territory but had also dared to enter its den and strike it while it slumbered.

Roused from sleep by the assault, the blood-furred wolf was initially bewildered. Blow after blow, the pain snapped it back to reality.

After several minutes of fierce grappling and clawing, the blood-furred wolf managed to hurl the human child out of the cave with a swipe of its paw.

The blood-furred wolf emerged from the cave at a measured pace, expecting the human child to flee, ready to give chase.

To its surprise, the child stood his ground, staring back with a menacing glare, utterly fearless.

Their gazes locked, the blood-furred wolf's irritation flared. It snarled, teeth bared, emitting a guttural growl of fury.

The sight of the blood-furred wolf stirred memories for both Zhang Hao and Grandpa Zhao, igniting a sudden surge of rage within them.

With a powerful thrust of his legs, Zhang Hao charged at the blood-furred wolf like a released arrow, aiming a forceful punch at the creature's head.
