As I approached the second cage, I deliberately slowed down and handed the bowl in. I wanted to see what it was so I wouldn't have to run more smoothly.

I stuck the bowl into the cage and saw only a thin, dark hand appear and then the bowl was gone.

And so I witnessed how the next eight cages picked up the bowls in an instant.
