C22 Enter the Handsome Siblings

How could a cultivation technique that catches Su Chen's eye be anything less than exceptional? The three martial arts big masters were instantly captivated by the Cosmic Quantum Shift.

The Cosmic Quantum Shift is akin to a bug in the world of the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre, offering the ability to unlock human potential among its many functions. It's well-known that once Zhang Wuji began practicing the Cosmic Quantum Shift, his power surged, catapulting him to the ranks of the top martial arts experts. He could effortlessly comprehend and adapt the martial arts techniques of other sects, absorb an opponent's palm energy, and then redirect it back at them, manipulating the Yin and Yang Qi in the process.

As night fell, the city was shrouded in darkness, and industries that thrived under the cover of night were bustling, particularly places like the Temptress Moon.

Above the clamor of the Temptress Moon, four figures appeared silently midair, followed by a piercing scream. Su Chen hadn't anticipated that this New World would be located in the sky rather than a small forest or on solid ground. The scream had come from him.

Yang Guo, Xiaolongnü, and Zhang Sanfeng were all unparalleled martial arts masters, while he was just an ordinary person. His misfortune was evident as he plummeted towards the earth, succumbing to its gravity. The sudden sensation of weightlessness had taken Zhang Sanfeng and the others by surprise, leaving them too disoriented to catch Su Chen.

With a "splash," Su Chen made intimate contact with the ground, thinking, "Hmm, that didn't hurt," which was his first reaction. "The ground is quite soft," he considered next. Looking up, Su Chen noticed a hole in the roof through which the moon was faintly visible.

Feeling around, he realized the 'ground' was soft and warm – not like earth at all, but more like a person. It seemed he might have, quite possibly, landed on someone.

Su Chen leaped to his feet to find that he had indeed landed on a woman.

"Sect Master, are you alright?" Zhang Sanfeng and the others floated down, landing with ethereal grace, and gathered around Su Chen.

"I'm fine, but I'm not sure about her," Su Chen said, glancing at the woman who lay unconscious with a sense of remorse.

The commotion inside the room inevitably drew the attention of those outside. Amidst a clamor and a string of curses, several burly men burst through the door, momentarily taken aback by the scene before them. They glared at Su Chen and his companions with menacing looks.

"Who dares to cause trouble at my Temptress Moon establishment? You must have a death wish," a middle-aged woman caked in makeup scolded as she entered. She too paused in surprise at the sight before her, then her face twisted into a peculiar expression.

Among the newcomers were a young man dressed impressively, three elderly men who clearly were no ordinary folk, and a middle-aged woman. These were not individuals to be taken lightly, and the proprietress of Temptress Moon recognized that much. However, she was at a loss as to why such people would show up here.

"Are you here for some entertainment?" the proprietress inquired, her tone laced with uncertainty.

Zhang Sanfeng and Yang Guo's faces contorted in a grimace. As veterans of the martial arts world, they were all too aware of the implications behind seeking 'entertainment.'

Su Chen, overhearing the din outside, was not naive. He quickly grasped the nature of the establishment he had stumbled into, much to his surprise. Glancing at Zhang Sanfeng and Yang Guo, he noticed they had already turned away, acting as if the question was not directed at them. It seemed the responsibility to respond fell to him; it wouldn't be appropriate for Xiaolongnü to step forward.

"Lady Boss, would you believe me if I said we ended up here by accident?" Su Chen inquired.

"Haha, you gentlemen certainly have a sense of humor," the Lady Boss replied with a laugh, covering her mouth.

"Alright, I was just kidding. We're actually here for her," Su Chen said, gesturing toward the unconscious woman. He had noticed not only the shattered roof but also a length of white silk hanging from a beam. It appeared the woman had been attempting to hang herself, and by sheer chance, his unexpected arrival had thwarted her suicide attempt. In such a place, the reasons for her drastic action were not hard to fathom. Although Su Chen had not personally witnessed the darker aspects of ancient times, he understood that desperate situations could lead to desperate measures, such as being coerced into prostitution.

The Lady Boss's expression shifted subtly as she glanced at the unconscious woman and cautiously inquired, "Young Master, are you acquainted with this lady?"

"I don't know her," Su Chen replied, shaking his head.

"Then perhaps the Young Master has taken a liking to Yuyan."

"Yes, I suppose that's one way to put it! Regardless, I plan to take her with me today." It was at this moment that Su Chen learned the name of the woman who had saved him: Yuyan.

The Lady Boss eyed Zhang Sanfeng and his companions warily, biting her lip in hesitation before finally speaking up, "If the Young Master is indeed fond of my daughter, then it's Yuyan's lucky day. Just provide three thousand taels of silver, and I will redeem her immediately." The Lady Boss felt a pang of loss at this; she was essentially giving away a goldmine for three thousand taels.

"Money?" Su Chen was taken aback. He realized he didn't have any ancient currency on him. He glanced at Zhang Sanfeng, who had already averted his gaze, clearly unconcerned with such worldly possessions.

Next, he turned to Yang Guo, who was standing beside Xiaolongnü, offering Su Chen an apologetic smile. Clearly, he was another without funds.

"Wow, three thousand taels of silver? That's quite the asking price, Lady Boss. Is this girl made of gold? Her eyes, her nose, her arms? She must be incredibly valuable. Are you going to charge for glances too? I've looked once, twice, thrice. How much do I owe you?" A young man burst in, his rapid-fire commentary catching the attention of everyone present.

"And who might you be?"

"Me? I'm someone whose reputation precedes him, beloved by all, a sight that makes flowers bloom, a man who makes ladies blush—the renowned Jianghu hero, Xiaoyu'er," he declared with a beaming smile.

"Xiaoyu'er? Never heard of you. Kid, don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong, or it might just get cut off," the Lady Boss retorted, unfazed. While Zhang Sanfeng and the others exuded an air of distinction, she had yet to see anything particularly remarkable about Xiaoyu'er.

"Wow, have I been sticking my nose where it doesn't belong? Have I? I'm terrified! You're quite furious, Lady Boss. Should I call in a few dozen gynecologists for you?"

"Kid, you're asking for trouble." The Lady Boss's anger surged immediately. She paid no mind to Su Chen and his companions, signaling to several burly men to charge forward.

"Perfect opportunity." Su Chen scooped up the unconscious woman and shouted to Zhang Sanfeng. They leapt through the large hole in the roof and took off running. With the speed of Zhang Sanfeng and the others, the people from Temptress Moon had no chance of catching up.

He was the epitome of grace, clad in white, with the handsome features of a Celestial Being, exuding an air of otherworldly elegance. This was Su Chen's first impression of the young man blocking their way, an image straight out of his ideal of a heroic figure.

Su Chen was filled with envy at such effortless elegance. It was the kind of comparison that could drive one to despair.

"Gentlemen, please release the lady," the youth in white requested.

"And who might you be?" inquired Su Chen.

"From Flower Palace, I am Hua Wuque."

"That name rings a bell. I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before," Su Chen murmured to himself. Hold on, Xiaoyu'er, Hua Wuque... this is the world of the Handsome Siblings.

It all made sense now; no wonder this guy was so striking. Su Chen had an epiphany, "Hua Wuque, please step aside. We have no intention of harming this lady; we're only trying to save her."
