C7 Love of Parents

Whether it was the Su family's Yellow Rank Mid Grade mental cultivation or the Profound Rank Low Grade Danxia Mental Cultivation Method, both could enhance the flow of Primordial Energy throughout his body. He could harness this energy to nourish himself, allowing it to remain within and circulate continuously.

Without practicing a mental cultivation method, the Primordial Energy would fail to coalesce, rendering it useless. Moreover, if he practiced a method of too low a grade, the energy's utilization would be greatly limited. Even with an exceptional Root Bone like Su Ze's Earth Spirit Top Grade, his cultivation speed would hardly improve if paired with a lower-grade method, such as the Yellow Rank Mid Grade from the Su family—a classic case of mismatched potential.

However, the Frost Freezing mental cultivation method not only effectively harnessed the Primordial Energy gathered by Su Ze's Root Bone but also surpassed the efficiency of the Danxia method. Additionally, it possessed a novel and unforeseen effect.

When his Primordial Energy made contact with an adversary's body, it disrupted their energy flow, causing both body and energy to stagnate as if encased in ice.

Facing a Sixth Level Acquired warrior, if Su Ze could maintain contact for the duration of ten breaths or land more than ten strikes, he could use his Primordial Energy to completely immobilize the opponent, inside and out.

The Profound Top Grade Frost Heart Technique granted him a formidable offensive capability beyond his martial skills. It was clear that superior mental cultivation methods could indeed overpower their inferior counterparts.

Elated, Su Ze activated the Frost Freezing method and placed his hand on the teapot atop the table. The Primordial Energy spread, and within moments, a layer of frost encased the teapot.

"It requires time to take effect and direct contact with the enemy's body. This is likely the extent of the Profound Rank Upper Grade mental cultivation method's capabilities."

Su Ze mused to himself that, if possible, he would love to enhance his mental cultivation method yet again. He was curious to see the formidable supplementary powers that a higher-level heart technique might possess.

Regrettably, with just over twenty thousand attribute points remaining, he was no longer able to upgrade the Frost Freezing mental cultivation method. His only option was to allocate the points to the Mountain Suppressing Palm technique.

Making his decision, Su Ze allocated the points.

"14,000 attribute points have been deducted. Your Mountain Suppressing Palm has advanced to the Seventh Layer," announced the system notification. With this, Su Ze had unlocked deeper secrets of the technique, refining his proficiency with the Mountain Suppressing Palm even further.

Should Su Bocheng engage him with the Stone Breaking Palm again, Su Ze was confident that not only could he expose more of Su Bocheng's weaknesses, but he could also leverage the Frost Freezing mental cultivation method to weaken his adversary. This meant that in a direct confrontation, Su Ze could now hold his own against Su Bocheng.

Yet, he knew his power was still lacking, as Su Bocheng wasn't even among the ranks of the truly formidable.

Su Ze's ambitions reached far beyond. In the expansive world of martial arts, countless strong figures lurked, and a myriad of thrilling transformations unfolded. Tieling City was merely a stepping stone; its local troubles couldn't possibly tether his progress.

With his attribute points dipping below ten thousand, Su Ze, now at the sixth level of the Acquired, couldn't invest further. Nonetheless, his strength had more than doubled in just one day.

After stretching his limbs, he opened his door, and his maidservant Cui rushed in with steaming water to assist him with his morning routine.

Noticing her red, swollen eyes, Su Ze inquired, "You've heard about the incident?"

Through her tears, Cui replied, "Yes, Young Master. Su Li and Xiao Hong fled the Su family yesterday to seek allegiance with others. I never imagined such a thing could happen. Just the day before, we were all cracking melon seeds and chatting together."

Despite her sobs, Cui didn't miss a beat in attending to Su Ze's washing and grooming.

Su Ze wasn't taken aback by this revelation. The conversations with Cui and Faang Qingya's behavior the previous day were ample evidence that the two were indeed traitors.

He rose and made his way to the front courtyard to greet his father, Su Zhongwu, and his mother, Bei Qiuhua. They were both delighted and pleased with their son, who had undergone a dramatic shift in demeanor the day before and had demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for martial skills.

"You've really outdone yourself, making your dad beam with pride for once! Your father, bless him, just isn't that sharp. He lacks the natural talent, which is why he's been overshadowed by those three scoundrels as the clan leader." Bei Qiuhua exclaimed as she took hold of Su Ze's hands, "No martial arts training for you today. Go spend the day with Qingya."

Su Ze couldn't help but feel a sense of resignation upon hearing her words. He thought to himself, "Now I see why the original Su Ze was so lacking in martial skills. He was too busy trying to win over Faang Qingya. His mother's overindulgence is to blame."

"Hold on, there's something else," Su Zhongwu interjected, noticing Bei Qiuhua ushering Su Ze out as if to send him off to play in the streets. He called out urgently, "Yesterday, you sent Cui to request guards for me. After some investigation, I discovered two traitors in your quarters. Although Su Li and Xiao Hong have fled, I've apprehended two other traitors based on their associations."

"One of them staunchly denies everything, but the other has confessed. His story is quite outlandish; you might not take kindly to it."

"Outlandish? Was he talking about Faang Qingya?" Su Ze inquired, a hint of skepticism in his voice.

Su Zhongwu's brow furrowed at his son's response. "Could it be that the spy was telling the truth?"

Listening in, Bei Qiuhua couldn't contain her curiosity. "What's going on? Weren't these spies sent by Su Bocheng? How does this involve my future daughter-in-law, Qingya?"

"Future daughter-in-law?" Su Ze scoffed, "Mother, you're unaware that yesterday, Faang Qingya and the Second Palace Holy Son from the Star Moon Holy Land infiltrated our Su family with the help of these spies. The Second Palace Holy Son personally assured Faang Qingya that in three months, an envoy from the Star Moon Holy Land would escort her to join their ranks. Now, Faang Qingya believes she's too good for me."

"What?" Bei Qiuhua slammed her hand down on the table in a fury. "How dare Fang Qingya treat my son with such contempt! After colluding with those from the Holy Land, the Fang family now wants to call off the engagement? Have they no sense of shame? They were the ones who pursued the match after seeing my son had an Earth Spirit Low Grade Root Bone!"

"No, I must confront the Fang family."

"Hold on, don't rush over there just yet!"

Su Zhongwu tried to calm Bei Qiuhua, though anger was evident on his face as well. He murmured, "Something felt off about the informant's story. Why would Fang Qingya sneak into my son's courtyard with another man? It's utterly preposterous. Now it all makes sense!"

Speaking through gritted teeth, his fists clenched tightly, he turned to Su Ze. "This woman is despicable! If you had parted ways amicably, it wouldn't jeopardize the marital prospects of Su family men. Yet she had the audacity to bring a man from the Holy Land to flaunt in our faces. We cannot stand for this!"

Seeing his parents so incensed, Su Ze was moved. The love of parents was a warm and pure constant across all worlds.

"You needn't worry about me," Su Ze assured them with a firm voice. "I will resolve this matter within the next three months."

Bei Qiuhua bit her lip, concern etched on her face, but she held back her words. She feared the ordeal might cause her son to change for the worse, potentially harming himself.

Su Zhongwu spoke with solemn resolve, "Only yesterday did I realize our son has come into his own. Let's entrust this issue to him for now. If he can't handle it, we'll step in—there's still time for that."
