C5 Back Then You Were so Proud but Now?

In an era where might was right and human lives were as disposable as weeds, no one wanted to be at the mercy of others!

Yet, without becoming a Ninja, one's fate was sealed to be nothing more than fodder.

With this realization, many fled, unable to come to terms with the harsh truth.

At that moment, the large dormitory was left with only a handful of individuals.

Yang Ming was taken aback to find Guan Shang, Jin Cou, and Jin Cou's sister, Jin Mengzi, among them.

The pair had already passed their tests and were now buzzing with excitement as they packed their belongings.

Jin Mengzi was at their side, lending a hand.

They were on the cusp of leaving for a superior environment, where they would attend Ninja School and undergo professional training, eventually rising to the ranks of Elite Ninjas.

Jin Mengzi's fortunes had shifted, riding on the coattails of her brother's success.

"Mr. Gekka!"

Jin Mengzi called out to Yang Ming with a respectful greeting.

"Gekka Ming, it's you."

Jin Cou and Guan Shang looked up in surprise, only to find Yang Ming before them.

Jin Cou's gaze fell on Yang Ming, and with a knowing smirk, he taunted him with a sneer.

"Gekka Ming, who would have thought? We all started here together, and back then, you were so aloof, looking down on everyone. Among us orphans, you were the most defiant. But alas, times have changed. From now on, our paths diverge, and you'll be left looking up to me. What a shame!"

Jin Cou's face twisted into a sneer of contempt as he regarded Yang Ming.

Many had arrived together, Jin Cou and Guan Shang included, all brought from the same village as Yang Ming. Initially, their lives at the orphanage were indistinguishable—studying and toiling side by side.

Yang Ming had been the most studious and the strongest of them all, earning praise from Gong Lizi.

This had sparked jealousy in many, Jin Cou and Guan Shang not exempted.

But now, a single test had dramatically altered their destinies.

They relished the chance to ridicule Yang Ming.

"Brother, what's the point? You're already set to be a Ninja. Why dwell on the past?"

At her words, Jin Mengzi tugged at Jin Cou's sleeve.

Jin Cou chuckled, and though he seemed unfazed, he stopped his taunting. His affection for his sister was clear—he couldn't bring himself to upset her.

"Mr. Gekka, please accept my apologies. Don't dwell on my brother's words; he often speaks without thinking."

Jin Mengzi quickly sought to make amends with Yang Ming after halting Jin Cou.

The siblings were a study in contrasts, each with a distinct personality.

Yang Ming acknowledged her with a nod, then silently retreated to his bunk. Lying down, he contemplated the path that lay ahead.

As someone who had transmigrated to the Naruto World, he was determined to make his mark. His first order of business was to head to Konoha and seek out Hinata.

Like many others, he was fond of Hinata. Now that he was in the world of the Hokage, he couldn't let her slip through his fingers; she had to be his.

The story in his mind told him that Hinata, at around five or six years old, was bullied on a snowy morning and then met Naruto, who would grow to have deep feelings for her.

He had to get to her before Naruto did!

But gaining entry to Konoha was no simple feat.

As the foremost of the Ninja World's five great nations, it was a stronghold of formidable experts, and every individual entering the Fire Country was subject to rigorous identity checks.

Yet, if he could advance to Shadow Level, he would be free to roam the Ninja World, save for a few forbidden places.

"I must attend the Ninja School, swiftly complete missions, and enhance my abilities. Reaching Shadow Level would be ideal. Only then can I truly establish myself in this world and earn the right to survive," Yang Ming resolved, mapping out his strategy.

While he was immersed in his planning, a group of people entered the room.

They were children from another orphanage.

Gong Lizi was at the helm, rallying the group.

They had come together to bid farewell to Jin Cou, Jin Mengzi, and Guan Shang.

Starting today, these three would embark on a journey apart from the others, each setting out on their own distinct path.
